So I’ve recently bought a 4K television and replaced my OG Xbox One with an Xbox One X. Right now I’m enjoying Dishonored 2 on my new setup, and it’s really nice!
Some pretty big news from Destiny land. Seems Activision and Bungie are splitting. Bungie keeps Destiny though. As a lapsed somewhat hardcore Destiny player I can't wait to see what happens with this!
@NEStalgia I enjoyed what I played of JC3 when it came to Plus last year. Was knee deep in switch games at that point so never gave it a full shot but found it decent enough.
@redd214 Now that is interesting. Bungie was being horribly held back by Activision IMO. I don't know if it affects Destiny 2, but a Destiny 3, or finally a direction for Bungie other than being a Halo/Destiny factory.
Plus, I want a proper Myth IV!
Yeah JC3 wasn't "bad"....but it was very shallow and repetitive. It was very average-ish in general, and especially compared to JC2 and now JC4. It's not the best representative of what the series can do.
@NEStalgia More held back than by Microsoft? Besides the early Mac games they released, they were never on their own, so I truly wonder if the difference will be THAT big.
As for Just Cause: I got the second game for free, a couple of years ago with GwG, but I lost interest pretty quickly. Even for Xbox 360 standards, the graphics were pretty basic, in my opinion. Looked like a first gen game, so if the third one is even worse in gameplay and so on, then I won't even bother. Which isn't too hard, seeing as
I haven't got GamePass anymore...
@ThanosReXXX well, Microsoft owned them outright, so it was a different, worse situation. Then the first thing they did was sign on with Activision for a decade . This means activision loses a major tentpole in their very thin lineup. I wonder how they plan to patch it?
Jc2... Yeah, the console it was ugly as sin. It was more a pc thing back then. Jc3 was their foray into making it console friendly, and it suffered for the attempt. 4 really straitens it out though. I haven't played a ton of it but what I did play is awesome.
@Delibheel Perhaps you also bought $800 of online casino chips in Thailand last month as well...
@Zuljaras If the retailer agreed/promised to refund you a standalone Xbox One X, then I would assume that this is his problem, not yours, so you can more or less demand him to give you just the console.
And what games are we talking about here, that are not good, according to you? I've only seen maybe 1 or 2 bundles with games I'm not interested in, such as the Minecraft bundles and so on, but other than that, all others are solid bundles, far as I am concerned.

@ThanosReXXX Oh no. The retailer will refund me the One X. After that I found out that there are no Alone One X consoles for sale at the other retailers. There are Only bundles. It is confirmed and I am awaiting the money now.
Well for me the games I consider BAD in the bundles is Forza. I know many people love it but I do not like and will never play a racing game in my life, same goes for sports games. One exception may be Mario Kart because for reasons unknown to me. It just looks fun.
Fallout 76 is a no go. Battlefield V is a no go. So I am almost out of options.
Perhaps if I find a Tomb Raider bundle but again not a game I die to play. I prefer Assassins Creed Origins or Odyssey.
Also I do not want to end up with noisy console again. Perhaps the newer bundles are better in that matter? Bah who knows ...
@Zuljaras Yeah, I can understand that, if those games aren't to your taste. Here's hoping that they actually come with physical games, then. Although I'm almost certain that it's a digital code, seeing as my bundle also came with a digital game. Good luck selling those...
As for them being noisy: I have an Xbox One S, and it's FAR less noisy than my Xbox 360, so I guess it either depends on what you're used to or what you expect from it. But perhaps we should ask our resident Xbox sound and trouble expert @NEStalgia to comment on this topic, because I haven't had any issues so far.

@Zuljaras I doubt you'll find bundles of particular interest in the near future since it's not game release season and the big games that are "big" enough to get bundles coming up are probably The Division 2, Anthem, Crackdown 3. I doubt DMC5 will get one, it's too niche. New bundles are more of a holiday or maybe summer thing.
In terms of noise, there's no known noisy units. If you got a loud one that was defective, then maybe it was defective. If the next one sounds the same, it's normal, and others aren't as sensitive to those frequencies as you. I mean I'm a "golden eared audiophile." I hear differences in analog cables. I roll tubes. And I don't hear the XBox. Maybe because all those tubes are producing more sound than the fan (I can hear the PS4 beep though.... )
I’m ok with that. I’m broke till may. (Perfume is on tour). I tried to find your kof question but it kept giving me a 404 error.

@Zuljaras If we heard the video correctly, your first X was normal and don't say we did not tell you, my friend! There are X bundles with Gold and Pass and one of them you can choose the game, at least on Microsoft Store (I don't know if they were time-limited though). Even if you don't like racing games you might enjoy Forza Horizon 4, just saying. Other bundles: Metro trilogy, Shadow of the Tomb Raider (that you mentioned and that I would also recommend)… Retailers must have unofficial bundles, they always do that. I bought the X at launch with no games, like other guys here, so you're getting a better deal whatever you choose and with Game Pass you can check around 200 games.
@NEStalgia I opened the PS4 and broke the beeping unit (does it have a more technical name like 1-bit speaker?). True story. I also vacuumed the dust but still sounds like a hairdryer. I don't care much anymore as now it's the console I use the least.
@BlueOcean yeah but still I returned it ... well tomorrow or on monday I will go and see if I could get a new one. After all it was a Christmas present :/
I'm so glad it has an assisted mode, as much as like these games I'm trash at aiming with an analog stick. This gives me much more confidence in my chances of beating the full game.
Too bad after 30 minutes it's just a junk file....
I haven't played the RE2 demo. I will buy the game day one (probably physical and digital because I collect the main RE games physically) and play it in the evenings or at night.
I played the RE7 demo before the game because it has minimal spoilers (nothing I would consider a spoiler anyway) and I confess I was terrified while playing it, it is so realistic and you don't have enough ammunition or anything.
RE7 is a good change after 6 but I am an old-school RE fan and that means I want the original buddies, the viruses lore (must-read) and the infected hosts more than anything else. I hope this sells so well that we'll see 3 (as rumoured) and Code Veronica (the RE game with the best story) soon.
