@NEStalgia It's extremely light-feeling, but honestly I don't care. Still my favorite controller ever. Then perhaps the Switch Pro Controller, then Xbox 360/One (the 360 D-Pad was a piece of junk though), then DualShock or GameCube.

@NEStalgia meh, not at those prices, could get 3 brand new ones for the same. No way I'd personally spend that much on a controller that wasn't a racing wheel.
@EvilLucario At least you have your ordering right I didn't mind the lightness of the Classic so much as the really floppy buttons and sticks. DS4 is too stiff, Classic was too light, XB/Switch/WiiU got that part right.
@redd214 Click your mouse. Click it again. Close your eyes and click. Feel that satisfying snap of metal on metal with minimal effort telling your your 1mm movement of your index finger was a resounding victory. Now imagine all face buttons feeling like that. Can you really put a price on that peace of mind?
I'm with you on price, honestly, and I'd be done with controllers at this point were it not for the fat that I $#$#@ HATE THE DS4 WITH THE FIERY PASSION OF THE FINAL BOSS OF A SOULS GAME!!!1
@redd214 Greetings! I am from a blue planet called "Earth". I come in peace to you on a mission of peaceful exploration to learn about your world and peoples...
I can't fathom any world that doesn't involve using a mouse daily. I mean even if you're on the road with a laptop, docking at the desk with a mouse, wired or otherwise, is like a warm bath after a day in the mines! Like playing Splatoon with a Pro controller after trying to get by with Joycons in handheld mode!
@Ralizah That's neat, if you take your list, reverse it, remove number 5, and change "best" to "worst" it looks exactly like my list! I kid, I kid. Detached joycons are pretty good for some games.
@NEStalgia Lol, laptops and tablets man, all I use nowadays. For everything I need to do on a computer whether business or personal, a laptop TouchPad is enough. Never had a technical/IT job so no need to use a desktop. Granted to say Im 100% sure I haven't used one is hyperbolic but it's very very very rare. Can't even remember the last time I sat in front of a dekstop
@NEStalgia@EvilLucario It's nice that, despite our differing opinions, we can all come together to agree that detached joycons are really cool. I love those things! Being able to play games in any stupid looking position I like is just priceless.
Currently Playing on January 13, 2026: The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy (PC)
@Ralizah Wait. How Deus Ex mixed with GTA not scream "GAME OF THE GENERATION!" to you?
Well, I'm certainly excited. I love sci-fi and cyberpunk, I've been interested (but never got to play) the old tabletop game and its universe, and I really like what I'm seeing here so far. It definitely has more attention to details at face value than I've seen in, say, any of the Fallout games. Its world also doesn't look as tightly constrained as Deus Ex. Hopefully the writing will be better, too, since Human Revolution had a downright silly plot, IMO.
The gameplay, the weapons, tech, upgrade system, the fact that you don't have to pick a class at the beginning like you're enrolling for a college degree instead of starting up a video game based on a niche Roleplaying franchise...yeah, I think I could have a lot of fun with this, so long as they pull it all off. I don't really care when it comes out at this point, so long as it means they're making it as good as they possibly can.
I actually appreciate the DLC outline. Unless there's gonna be a bunch more, I prefer we know exactly when we're gonna get new content instead of it randomly dropping months later.
@redd214 Man, I can't imagine that....trackpads are ok....they get the job done in a pinch. But they're so frustrating if you have to use them more than a little and position cursors and tiny toolbar icons a lot! 48 hours is the max I can stand not using a mouse, and some people may have to be sacrificed to make it through that duration....
But then I now understand why you like the Dual Shock. You dislike precise, accurate control devices with reasonable ergonomics. That's cool. There's a role for masochists.
@Ralazah haha, yeah. Sometimes the "DS4 wrist" acts up if I use it for the wrong kind of game too long, and I have to throw a grip on if I'm in tabletop mode or go pro if I'm docked, but overall, I love that option. Played most of Odyssey that way!
@CanisWolfred Play the original Fallout PC games or Wasteland 2 (a.k.a. "real Fallout 4 since Fallout 1 was really Wasteland 2" from the original Fallout creators.) coming to Switch. Now that is attention to details.... (inExile is actually a studio founded by the former Interplay/Black Isle founder/CEO who was sent "into exile" from Interplay when it got bought out and run into the ground. He called himself Interplay's CEO in exile, and the name stuck and became the new company. It's basically a reformation of Interplay as an indie, minus all the people who went to Obsidian.)
Human Revolution did a good enough job trying to make sense of Warren Spector's already messed up plot We had to get to the rise and fall of mechanical augs before we got to nano augs. But we need more nano aug gameplay.... Dang now you have me wanting to get back into Mankind Divided.....I never really played through it.
Frustratingly I want to play on X1 for the controller, and 4Pro for the graphics
You have it right on the DLC. Great job announcing DLC before the game launches!
I actually appreciate the DLC outline. Unless there's gonna be a bunch more, I prefer we know exactly when we're gonna get new content instead of it randomly dropping months later.
I mean, yeah, it's appreciated that they're honest. I just also would prefer even more that my money went towards a complete game upfront and not a platform to buy more content. My statement was genuine: Now I don't have to waste money. I'll just wait until I can get it all in a single package.
EDIT: I didn't realize MasterPi wasn't the person I quoted earlier, so I thought it was a reply aimed at me specifically. Oops...
@CanisWolfred Well, technically you can buy it as a single package.....$80 for the Digital Deluxe edition with Season Pass. IIRC physical has a deluxe with pass & Steel book as well.
@NEStalgia well when only maybe 8 hours a week total is all I spend on tasks that require an actual pc, is a really minor thing. Even then it's only chrome, powerpoint and a little excel, nothing that requires the pixel perfect accuracy you're griping about
Anyways right now until 10pm PT use the code PREGAME15 on eBay for 15% off everything. Works on consoles if anyone is in the market for anything!
Also for you physical guys, you can finally preorder Spiderman from Amazon and get a $10 credit since they nixed the old system. Fine print (credit doesn't get applied to account for 30-35 days )
I'm probably going to go all physical for my PS4. Unlike the Switch, it's not portable and swapping discs is super easy compared to swapping cartridges on the Switch where you have to open the flap, press on it, and go through all that nonsense.
Plus, I'll be able to enjoy having an actual physical collection again.
