@Octane I was saying on how Jason was condemning the hypothetical person when the rumor was running on the disgruntled ND employee as the culprit, which tbh feels weird to me.
I was going on cover up is because of well... Corporates I guess? Can never really trust them overall but I also don't have enough stakes to do anything about it beyond "ehhh I don't believe it but whatever". Granted it's not a good way of thinking things so yeah, it's just biases talking on that side
@darkfenrir I see. Well, I don't know anything about that. But I can understand that. Even if this was all the result of some serious case of crunch at ND, this isn't the way to solve it, or bring attention to it. There are better ways to get your message out there; leaking a unreleased game online just... isn't. That's why that whole story just doesn't add up. The people you're hurting the most are the gamers, and they haven't done anything wrong.

Has talking nicely to them works? Put story down to some big news? No union to go also. So if someone's looking to really blow big before they get fired... Well, this certainly is a good way but that's not what happened. I just can see how it goes.
Also just because it's something you have worked on doesn't mean you end up attaching yourself to it? Like, I'm right now mostly writing for myself and whenever a friend commissioned me to turn his outline to a normal story form, I don't have as much stake if it ever get leaked (I won't because he's still my friend and at most only show pieces to rant about things), but in the end of it... It's just work, it's something I do and it's whatever.
Also made some game design for mobile games back during my internship and I can't care too much if it gets leaked even if it's my work.
(On that gamer note, they are also the one with the power to pressure the big companies. Not the devs)
Good lord, is Sony and Naughty Dog really trying to tempt reviewers to not be critically honest about this game and talk about the later portions of the story?
I have no opinion of the Last of Us, and I think the reviews are largely genuine.
That being said, god the overhype for this game is becoming embarrassing in record time. Some of these reviewers are really weird and/or really dumb and/or need to experience better and more varied story driven media.
