Doing my daily pinball update a bit early tonight.

New High Scores:

Iron Man (Zen Marvel 3DS) - 27.6 Million

Also tried out a free trial in TPA:

Que Ball Wizard - It has the same framerate issues as Tee'd Off (I think it's due to the very large interactive objects on each table), so I'll have to play it a bit more to truly get a good feel for it.

I didn't notice any framerate issues on both pins, but then I play on a different platform. The Phantom of the Opera does have issues though. It's the only one with this particular problem. There was slowdown with Dr. Dude, but a later update fixed it. I hate that pin anyway though so it didn't matter to me if it was fixed or not.

@RR529: Hmm, maybe it has something to do with emulating Gottlieb System 3, as both Tee'd Off and CBW use the same CPU. Maybe your device can't handle it for some reason?

@RR529: It's probably your device (not sure what you are playing on or how old it is) but I don't notice any framerate drops on the PS4 version or on my Note 4.

In other pinball news, got the urge to play some Medevil Madness last night and got a score of 15 million. Not to bad. Also some interesting trivia Tina Fey is the princess' voice in Medevil Madness.

My device is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, so it is a bit older by tech standards, but then again, those tables are part of TPA's season 2, which I would imagine would have been released when the model was still new.

I think It may have something to do with the vary large interactive objects (the big roulette wheel in Tee'd Off, and the giant cue ball & pool stick in CBW). I don't think any other tables I've played have had interactive objects that large.

It's time for my daily pinball update, and I've tried out some more free trials in TPA:

Class of 1812 - It was pretty decent suppose. It's not bad, but at least from the free trial, it didn't seem all that special, either (plus, I've already played a lot of tables with similar themes, and it's a theme I'm not huge on).

The Championship Pub (if the name's wrong, it's the old timey boxing one) - This one is an absolute blast. The little jump rope thing is so cool. It seems like something you'd see in a Zen table, but the fact that it's something they actually did in real life, makes that little feature all the cooler.

Central Park - Much like Big Shot, it doesn't have a lot of bells & whistles (well, it does have one prominent bell), but there's just something about it that makes it addictive as all heck (really has that "just one more time" thing going for it).

Centaur - Now this was an unexpectedly cool table. I'm not usually a fan of more "dark/gothic" themes, but this table looked fantastic, and I had a fun time playing it as well.

NOTE: I included the two tables I played yesterday as well, since I forgot to do an update.

Hah. During today's atic expedition, I found my cartridge of pinball party/sonic advance, well hidden behind the great wall of junk. And for some reason right next to Ocarina of Time, which I considered lost a really long long time ago. I have no idea of how did the GBA game get so far into the layers of junk.

Well now, that's both a bit awkward and a big relief. I guess I'll have two copies of the game now.

You could sell that extra game on Ebay and make some money out of it, or give it to a poor waif who hasn't played it before out of the goodness of your heart.

Well, I bought it from the US... So it was way more expensive than it should be thanks to the shipping and taxes... I could sell it... But it would need to be at a loss.

If you lived in my city, I would certainly give it to you

It's time for my daily pinball update!

Today I just tried out the free trial for Who Dunnit? (TPA). Turns out it was their free table of the month, so there was no score limit! It has a pretty unique theme for a pinball table, and I actually managed to score 1.6 Billion on it (you get the extra game at 1.5 Billion, so I was excited to exceed that).

BTW, I love your avatar @Freelance! I love the Animaniacs (too bad Netflix doesn't have it, as it's been years since I've watched it).

The casino element of Who Dunnit? is pretty cool. I like how you can actually bet your points through the roulette table. You could potentially make big points if you win (or lose big points if you don't).

You're the first person to ever mention that show to me (back when I was using another Animaniacs avatar for a while). I've just bought volumes 1, 2 and 3 of the DVDs so I made an avatar quickly out of a random scene. I'll probably change it later to Wakko 'cause he's my fave. The 90's had the best animated TV shows IMO. At least, that's where all my fave shows are from.

It's time for my daily pinball update!

Today I tried out the free trial of Lights... Camera... Action! (TPA).

This was a pretty cool table, and it's the only table I've played where it's possible to hit the score limit before you even get the chance to hit the ball, lol (if you get the million point bonus for winning the gunfight minigame at the start of the round).

I noticed all your latest pinball updates are TPA pins. Got tired of Zen Pinball so soon?

On my tablet, it's not so much that I'm tired of it, it's more that I'm just getting back into Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, since they're featuring a couple special quests related to the Resurrection F movie.

Still play a couple of rounds of Zen on my 3DS each day however, it's just that I haven't hit any high scores.

Sorry for the double post, but has anyone ever heard of Zaccaria pinball?

I noticed an app on Google Play that has recreations of 38 Zaccaria tables, and just like TPA, it says there's a free version of each table, as well as a paid version. Apparently they were an Italian pinball table manufacturer back in the 70's & 80's.

May get it once I'm done trying all the TPA tables.

I know of the app but I don't have any device to try it. It's supposed to be pretty good.

Time for my daily pinball update, and today I tried out the free trial for Junk Yard (TPA).

Only had the time to play it two or three times, but it seemed pretty fun (it was pretty tough to hit the "wrecking ball", but you feel pretty good when you do hit it).

I must say it's the first Stern table I really, really enjoyed, but like their Harley Davidson one, the framerate dips as soon as you hit multiball, and it doesn't return to normal until you start a new game.

It's not gamebreaking or anything, it just throws you off at first.

@foobarbaz: While I'd love to have a pincab, I've never seriously considered it since I figure if I were to spend that kind of money, I'd rather spend it on an actual pinball machine! I am kind of looking forward to what could be done with virtual reality though. That way you could have a stand up that's just the flipper buttons and tilt sensors, so with the VR headset, it would look and feel like your playing a real machine!
