@h1b1esquire yea that's what I've been doing when the shaking grass didn't seem right. I was going to do about 10 more encounters to make sure then just start resetting it. Oh well. It was only a practice round really - wasn't even an abra, just a Pancham so I'm not too upset lol

@H1B1Esquire Maybe, I am trying to catch Cobalion in White 2 with Naive nature and good Ivs. So far I am using a Naive nature Elgyem with synchronize and I'm also looking for a specific hidden power, i want to transfer on the poke bank and it is definitely keeping me busy.
@Blassie098 an adamant Abra would suck (if you don't calm mind) because its attack would be high but at the cost of its S. attack
I guess, depending on the use, timid/impish, or possibly naive may be better than jolly natured

Edit: that was weird. I put max repel on, used pokeradar, took one step and ran into a gulpin. And the grass there didn't even shake
That's why the next science experiment should be: can I use a capture card, replay everything I do, and use slo-mo to find the best patch of grass everytime.

I try to be quick about it, but every now and then, there's an uncooperative piece in my puzzle that I have to mash till it fits, sometimes it's all night, but yes, I guess pretty much everyday, when I get the chance.
