@BongoBongo123 I unsubscribed from RGT85 last year. His content is all clickbaiting.
I am really starting to get frustrated by all those "gaming news" channels where they think their opinions matter. We are at a point that "influencer" is the same as "content creator". Those people are not creating content, they are jumping on a bandwagon of news and thinking that their "personalities" and "charm" are enough to make money from doing ... nothing.
The problem isnt the content creators, it's YouTube. Because of YouTube's algorithm they have to put out so many videos otherwise they see a drop in their pay so to speak. Unfortunately when you have a Nintendo centric YouTube channel and Nintendo doesn't put out any news, the creators have to put something out. That's why so many creators have gone into other things like posting streams and such when their is a drought in news.

Looking at this thread, this kind of tied into a post I made on Unpopular Gaming Opinions awhile back. Personally, I'm starting to get tired of all the clickbait too. Me and a friend discussed this, and we figured while general news is good (like stuff on here and other news sites), we won't take rumors as true until Nintendo confirms it, or third party publishers confirm something.
Can't count how many times I've seen we're getting Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, and N64 games on Switch Online. Just wait until Nintendo themselves say something. I would even say the same thing happened with Switch Pro. People on YouTube hyped it up, and then when the OLED model was revealed, people were upset.
Just wait for something official to come out, it's the best way to avoid disappointment. This is coming from a guy who enjoys gaming content on YouTube.
I really wish we just had Nintendo Official Magazine once a month like back in the day.
Editing this in, I agree with this! I was flipping through an old issue I had of Nintendo Power awhile back, and looking at it, it was just all the stuff officially confirmed. I miss having something like this for news too.
Clickbait and overembelished YT "content" isn't even exclusive to Nintendo. You can play a drinking game with any number of topics that have those overexaggerated, super reactionary type videos associated with them. You'd probably die based off Star Wars alone

I'll admit this hasn't really affected me that much since I don't follow gaming news channels that much (I tend to like watching stuff like DYKG and the Gaming Historian more, and when I do watch "news" it tends to be Directs, State of Play, or other trailers more directly), however I used to watch GameXplain quite a bit and it doesn't seem to produce nearly as many interesting videos these days, IMO.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I subscribe to RGT, Arlo, Spawnwave, Beatemups, AntDude, WulffDen, Scott The Woz, etc. I think they are all pretty fun ways to kill some daily time. All are pretty Switch-centric.
I actually have SwitchForce on the list, too but they are way too much bait. Did they do something crappy to someone or something? They seem to take a lot of heat and not necessarily because of their sub-par content.
As far as I know, SwitchForce's one crime is the clickbait. I also just found his videos to be not very useful or interesting, but that might be just me.
I don't blame some YouTubers for embellishing their titles or thumbnails a bit. If there's a rumor at least make it look like such. I think Prime and Spawn Wave arent that bad at this. RGT has the overdramatic thumbnails, but I've always liked his gaming recommendations and eShop sale vids. SwitchForce though, yeah... Zach seems like a cool dude but the "Bad news for Nintendo Switch" titles are bad.
The thumbnails too, if you go to the channel, I bet he's still using random fan-made images of custom switch menus in his thumbnails along with "amazing new update!" or something to that effect.
