Hello!

i have 2 question regarding some quests with blades :

1*)- It's regarding the little girl blade that has a white bear : i went to the inn to start the quest to unlock a skill but i accidentally hit the "cancel" button right when she said she wanted to go near a "blue cliff" or something, and since there is no indicator, i don't really know where it is in the titan....
Can someone tell me where is the place she wants to go please?

2*)- It's about the blade quest where i need to inspect 2 locations to retrieve a golden gantelet....i just did that and know my journal tells me to go to guura to meet the personn near the windmill plaza, but there is no blue quest indicator, nor an icon near the house .....i'm afraid this is a bug (((((
Has somebody experienced something similar? maybe i should update my game but i'm a bit afraid that other bug star appearing^^^^i'm on 1.1.0 and chapter 6.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

@maelis, if that second one is the one I'm thinking, Vess, they'll only be on the porch during daytime (I'm betting it was night time when you warped back to Torigoth).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Just finished the game. On my previous three times, I kept just adding more orbs and never used the chain attack in case I'd die as soon as I've finished using it. Now the boss was just about to call reinforcements for the first time while it was at half health. I used my chain attack and the boss died before I'd even broken all of the orbs (there were 5) with a full burst. I could have killed it on my previous tries as well if I'd known I'd do that much damage. Oh well, not that big of a deal.

The game was really good. I don't think I've ever played an RPG for 2 months straight (well, other than Pokémon). I played less during chapter 7 but I never completely abandoned it. I had hard time turning the game on for that month I spent in that chapter but every time I did, I was reminded how much I like the game. I will explore a bit more before switching to another game. I haven't done any exploration after chapter 7 so there's going to be a lot to discover. Before I started playing less, I went and explored pretty much every place I could up to Mor Ardain but I haven't set a foot in Temperentia after the boss battle there. I remember reading here that it's a lot bigger than what it seemed at first glance. That's why I decided to continue with the story after I'd ran all over Mor Ardain because I'd already been exploring for over 10 hours.

Anyway, I'm glad I can finally say I've finished it. I'm pretty sure the ending was even cooler for people who finished Xenoblade Chronicles. I didn't. I think I'm in Sword Valley. I could see some connections between the two games though.

It's its, not it's.

@RR529

Unfortunately i tried at daytime and i still see nothing ((( only in my journal it says that i need to go back torigoth to give the gauntlet...that smells like a bug ((((

@maelis Ursula has a heart to heart at the Cobalt Cliffs at the beginning (north) of Uraya's Stomach area. For the Vess quest, activate it on the quest screen, then go to the place where you need to go in Torigoth. Change the time of day until you see the quest marker appear on the quest locator at the top of the screen. What you are describing does not sound like a bug, so this should work.

What is the highest damage that anyone has got in a chain attack? Mine is 4.7 million (rounded down) on the final boss.

meleebrawler

@NinjaAceTrainer I think the damage cap is 9999999. Or at least that's the highest number that the game can properly display. Quite easy to breach that in the postgame with well-built offensive builds.

Alone, a force. Together, a force of nature.

@meleebrawler So 10 million is the cap... Interesting... I was really asking for people's personal bests, but thanks for that information anyway!

Yeah to go the most beyond the damage tracker, you need Blades like Zenobia, Herald, Poppi, and the secret Blade from end of Chapter 7 that's super OP for Chain Attacks.

Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.

thank you @NinjaAceTrainer for your answer!

I found the cliff for the event of the little girl blade with her white bear and saw the event, but now, to unlock the level 2 ring i need to go to guura at night and see an event or something....
But i did that (go to torigoth at night) and cannot find any trace of bond talk or event (

where should i go? ^^

maelis

NinjaAceTrainer

@maelis It's at Abble's Fountain, on the East side of Torigoth (or Guura?), which is near where you need to go for Vess' quest. By the way, which language do you speak if you don't mind me asking?

@NinjaAceTrainer

thank you again i Think i went here when i searched the city but didn't find an event though:(( Maybe it is because i'm actually at the very beginning of the chapter 7 and a "very important person" is missing in my party..maybe i need this to unlock it^^)
Maybe it's the same for the other vess quest : i tried changing time 1 hour at a time and still didn't get a marker

Not at all: i'm french and i'm playing the game in japanese which is why i don't really know the names of the places or characters as their name seem to be often different! .

@maelis Yes. I believe that is the reason. I tried to continue the Vess quest during Chapter 7 as well and found out I couldn't. You can check the party requirements in the quest log.

It's its, not it's.

Grumblevolcano

@maelis Yeah, Chapter 7 is one of those chapters where unless you're underleveled you should focus on story.

@maelis Yes, that sounds right. The "very important person" is listed as necassary for most if not all blade quests, so I'm afraid you need to get them back if you want to progress with those quests. So can you understand French, English and Japanese? Tres bien (my French is quite limited)!

Ryu_Niiyama

Got to chapter 8 and I'm pulling back to do sidequests and try to get rare blades (I'm not going to New Game plus anytime soon so this will be my only play through aside from the DLC). So far I: Feel sorry for the blade life cycle, am confused by the "The power that was granted to Mythra since birth", am confused about the land of the dead (why does it exist?), feel Malos has become more flat of a character while Mythra has grown, have the worst luck about getting rare blades, Laughed about the xenosaga references and yet been interested in how it all influences this series. Also not gonna lie, I squee'ed at the sight of Morag with no hat on. (I mean Melph-sama, I'm playing in Japanese and laughing about a few translation differences -Sheeba/Rinne gives me life. I mean she is a horrible stereotype but she is so over the top I just smile.)

I think that was vague enough not to need spoiler tags. If anybody wants to explain the land of the dead and what core crystals are (organic machines/nanomachines on steroids?) given what the aegis core crystals are (that makes sense to me...mostly), by all means please chime in.

@Ryu_Niiyama Core Crystals are organic, think about the blade life cycle. They are pretty much just just magic rocks, think the gems from Steven Universe if you follow that. As for the land of the dead, you'll see why it exists soon enough. Good luck with your rare blade hunting by the way.

NinjaAceTrainer

@Tsurii Really? How so? It's been a while since I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Ryu_Niiyama

@NinjaAceTrainer I think that I'm thrown more by what the aegis (all three of them) actually are (and why blades lose their memories or at least what they send to the aegis) that I feel like there is a line being blurred. That is why I keep thinking organic machines (like nanoprobes from star trek but if they used primarily organic components somehow...that explains regen powers and the guldo kinda sorta. Which if the "ether" allows for matter composition that would make everything click as then that would explain how core crystals...grow/have a life cycle.)

Xenogames are always magical science on steroids so there is always a semi logical explanation, but I'm getting a little tripped up because of the two classes of core crystals (I'm also not done with the game so that may have something to do with it lolol). I've always liked the Xeno mythos (and it makes more sense to me than most mythology/religion) so I like to puzzle through the new pieces.

@Tsurii good to know I'm at least on the right path. I likely will pad this out for another 2 weeks to see how far I can get on the side quests and named enemies (saw a level 100 dude and I was like "NOPE") and then barrel through to the end. Aside from a few issues that I always have with monosoft games (and some of the character designs) I've enjoyed this romp.

@Tsurii I was talking about the Core Crystals, but thanks for both anyway.
