Nintendo is so out of touch with what the true fans want.

Why would anyone advocate for LESS content?! What ever floats your boat though man, I hope Nintendo gets it together and starts catering to true fans more.

You meet such interesting people here in Nintendo Life.

This is by far one of the more... interesting forums I've been to.

Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill

  • Tokyo Mirrage Sessions, preferably in an uncensored state.
  • Fatal Frame 5. Not sure if this would work, as the gamepad seemed to be pretty essential based on the footage I've seen, but it looked really interesting so if they could get it to work that'd be great.
  • Both Zelda remasters. Never played Wind Waker before, and Twilight Princess was the first Zelda game I beat, so I'd like to revisit it.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

@RR529
I'd love to see Fatal Frame 5 on the Switch but it would take quite a bit of reworking as the GamePad was quite integral to the game.

I'd like to see Fatal Frame 4 (Wii) with a bump up in resolution and improved controls. Even better a Fatal Frame collection with all 5 games ported.

Metroid Prime Trilogy. I've owned this on the Wii and Wii U but I'd buy it again for the Switch.

Mass Effect, but the full trilogy not just the 3rd act. Maybe include Andromeda too.

The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker & Twilight Princess
It would be great if Nintendo would release these two Games in one Package for the Switch

Tokyo Mirage Sessions
If this ever gets a Switch Port i would like to see the uncensored Version, because the changes they made are totally stupid.

No More Heroes 1&2
I'd love to play these two Games on the go or with Switch Motion Controlls.

Only big games they're really missing at this point are Mario Maker, 3D World and Xenoblade X.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

electrolite77

Mario Maker seems more likely to get a sequel like Splatoon and Smash

I'd like to see:-
Mario 3D World
NSMBU (I think that will be this year)
Pikmin 3
Xenoblade X
Tokyo Mirage Sessions
A bundle of the two Zelda remakes
Paper Mario Colour Splash

Honestly, I don't know of any. A Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD combo release would be nice for other people, but I probably wouldn't purchase it. I spent way too much money get TPHD alone.

There's just not much else on the Wii U, and I already have one, and already played games like Super Mario 3D World. I'd much rather see Nintendo release new games instead of old games. The bulk of the Switch's 1st party library is already Wii U games... Those of us who owned a Wii U are desperate for some new games!

I don't see any evidence that ports are hampering development on original games. However, there has been just more games in general to fill gaps with those ports, so I'm fine with them.

Plus, it's the same tired story that the Wii U didn't sell, so they're selling to an entirely new audience, etc etc etc.

To be honest, I can't see myself getting any Wii U ports. I already have most of the major first party Wii U games, and I don't want to spend $80 for the same game with a bit more content. I would prefer if games like Super Mario Maker and 3D World get sequels, as they are a whole new game that is different from the original. The only Wii U port I have is Breath of the Wild, since I skipped the Wii U version so I could get it on the Switch.

I just want Xenoblade Chronicles X Uncensored, bring forth the tiddies.

Good... good
Now play Dragon Quest

TMS#FE and XCX and TW101 are the big three titles remaining that I'd like to see ports for. It'd be nice fore people to get Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, and Yoshi's Wooly World as well, but they aren't as big for me personally.

As for other systems? For the DS I'd love to see Layton 1-6 rereleased on Switch, but I think that'd only happen if they did mobile releases and made the HD assets for that. Ghost Trick would be nice, and Elite Beat Agents as well. And to fill it out, Metroid Prime Hunters in HD.

3DS? Dark Moon would be nice, Kid Icarus Uprising, Samus Returns, Ever Oasis, and Fantasy Life. Bravely Default and Bravely Second would be good additions as well to the Switch library.

Original Wii has The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Super Mario Galaxy 1&2, Xenoblade Chronicles, and... maybe Elebits.

100% XCX. I actually bought it on release but never got around to playing it. XC2 has made me really want to play it, but I'm putting it off for a few months incase a Switch version gets announced.

I'd totally pay full price again just for the portability and QoL. I just don't have the time these days to have many multiple-hour long gaming sessions - being able to pick up my Switch and play ten minutes here and there would make all the difference.

I'd like to see star fox zero ported and as for the controls yeah maybe it wasn't obvious but there is a really simple solution to the issues people had with the gamepad. Ever bother pressing the select button? Watch in amazement as it puts the cockpit view right on your TV screen! No aiming with the gamepad required. It bewilders me how few people realize this. Even Nintendolifes own review failed to mention this. I guess the game is so old now nobody cares but seriously it becomes far more playable when you know how the controls work.

The best 5 Wii U games that are not yet converted to Switch are, imo
1. Xenoblade Chronicles X
2. Paper Mario: Color Splash
3. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
4. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
5. Yoshi's Woolly World

@SKTTR I'd rank Nintendo Land and a number of other gamepad dependent games over Paper Mario. Maybe even Star Fox Zero. That's more a list of all games that can be converted.

SKTTR

Yeah, I left games like Nintendo Land, Star Fox Zero, Game & Wario, Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, or Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (basically all the ones that heavily depended on two-screen gameplay) out. There's hope a Switch 2 / Switch Pro has more Wii U features built in than the Switch, so these games can have a decent port.

Star Fox Guard and Nes Remix are the only ones I would possibly double dip on.
