Then we wouldn't have apples? Like how we don't have Project Giant Robot

Do you like videogames? If so, you must know

Then it would be a very retooled version of a previously announced game.

Then props to Miyamoto for giving up one of his ideas for something with more immediately likely chance of success.

Otherwise...nothing.

But if we didn't have apples would we know that we didn't have them?

These questions about fruit are hurting my head. I think my analogy didn't quite get across; what I was trying to say is that PGR and Arms have extremely little in common (save for being Nintendo games) and it makes no sense to compare them or think Arms derived from PGR. Why would a game made for the Wii U's Gamepad become a Switch game with completely different controls and gameplay?

@DarkmarkUnited Then still nobody would care.

No, but on a more serious note: I didn't mean any offense.
I just think Project Giant Robot had nothing to do with ARMS, those two games have nothing in common. And even if they did, it would be irrelevant by now.
Of course you're free to ask that question nonetheless, but without providing any additional info or argument (plus the fact that there are no similarities between those two games), that question in your initial post just seemed pointless.

I thought Project Robot was more wrestling, involving your body weight or something. Hey, imagine marrying the two games for different fight styles!

@shani Sorry, I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. XD
Anyways, my point is that I think that the team was working on PGR but then Nintendo Switch was coming up so they decided to cancel it, but before adding some elements from PGR to ARMS

Sup.

@DarkmarkUnited What elements are you talking about though? I get that they're both 'fighting' games, but they're completely different, add the fact that it's made by a completely different team at Nintendo, and I don't think we're looking at what PGR has become. Miyamoto couldn't figure out how to turn PGR into a full game, and the Wii U is pretty much dead, so they cancelled the game. That's all there is to it, I don't think there's any point in assuming that ARMS is what PGR has become.

I think ARMS has been more heavily inspired by Overwatch than PGR

Maybe it provided some inspiration, but I doubt anything more beyond that

I'm still not overly excited for ARMS yet. Or Project Giant Robot. Wii boxing was cool the first time you had friends over to play it.

Been thinking this for a while. I think Project Giant Robot certainly evolved heavily over its development to the point it was unrecognisable from the original tech demo and was rebranded. It would explain why it still being given a release date so late in the WiiUs lifespan.

ive been thinking the same, since arms was revealed. Obviously they are two different games but I'm betting a lot of project robot was recycled into arms.
