I'd like to see a GTA-style game in the Mario universe: lots of vehicles, stuff to do, quests, etcetera. Not sure how that would work weapon wise though, without the game becoming either too aggressive or too much like SMO.
-A hybrid platformer/beat em up like God of War, Knack, the Werehog from Sonic Unleashed (DK would be a good fit for this, no need for a new IP)
-A stealth game
-A sandbox action game taking place in a city, like GTA, Prototype, Watch Dogs, etc.
@Anti-Matter you sound like a big fan of the genre and I hope you see more of them coming to Switch. I have only played Mario Mix myself (we don't have arcades here) my two young children love Mario and dancing though so fingers crossed they can play a Mario Mix 2 one day soon.

"What are your opinions on Xonic/Voez/Musynx??"
Not interested with those games, since they don't deliver same vibes as BEMANI Rhythm games from Music aspect, User Interface design, Replay value, Difficulty charts, etc.
I will definetely want DDR on Switch since DDR celebrated its 20th Anniversary on this month.
Konami have promised to give some supports for Nintendo Switch. If they can give us Hyper Sports R, they can give us DDR once again for Switch.
A stealth game would be fantastic. There are elements of stealth in many Nintendo games, like BotW or Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion, but a game completely revolving around stealth would be fantastic.
I'd also love to see how they could make an action game the way Platinum Games makes Bayonetta, just with Nintendo's own flair. Since Nintendo excels in crafting beautifully designed player movement (which is why Splatoon is so good as a shooter, since you're not as limited as you are in other shooters), seeing how they could mix combat with advanced movement techniques would also be fantastic.
But honestly, Nintendo has done pretty much every genre there is. Action-adventure (Zelda), RPG (Xenoblade), platformer (Mario), shooter (Splatoon), you name it.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.

Hero Shooter and MOBA o3o
@toiletduck I dont know how fun it would be with Nintendo limiting it to an E rating though. Didn't the Simpson's have a knock off GTA? I think my brother had it for GC.
I'd like to see Nintendo have another split screen shooter. Something like Goldeneye.
What genre would we call Blast Corps? Because that.
Seeing as Rare don’t seem to be (allowed to be) in a hurry to make one for the modern day, maybe Nintendo could add those elements into my ‘Mushroom Kingdom RTS featuring 3rd person Sheikh stealth sections’ suggestion too?
@ReaderRagfish
Hey Rag, don't be so closed minded, I liked the idea of a Jean Claude Vandam vs. Angry Birds game, maybe you protect the pigs as the birds shoot themselves out
"If failure is the greatest teacher, how come we are not the most superior beings in the universe ???"
An open world hack n slash... yes I know we have zelda botw... but what if they can do something like that on a grander scale? a vast open world with customizable characters and hoards of loot. And since its nintendo they would have nintendo themed loot right?
