Quick question.
How do I make Japanese eshop account when I already have one USA eshop account?
Can I use my same e-mail to register and I use different avatar user for my Japanese eshop account ?
@Anti-Matter I think you may need to use a different email; I used a different email address when I made a Japanese account. Here is a related article with steps:
I think it depends on whether you look at currently available or was available at some point in the past. Like I'd definitely say Wii U has a better Metroid collection than Switch by far but if you bought a Wii U now, it would be a worse collection because of the eshop closure
The Wii U was pretty expansive in terms of the library that was available to us. Of course the Wii U VC was often not the best, despite some of the whine about it the emulation on NSO is better. But even so, lots of platforms and therefore titles that are simply not available on Switch
I believe the only Zelda games you couldn't play on Wii U were A Link Between Worlds, Link's Awakening and Oracle of Seasons/Ages. All of which were on 3DS. While the Switch obviously we're missing out on Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, A Link Between Worlds, Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. Though to get back to the point @Aioniomios was making. During the Wii U era would I have taken Breath of the Wild earlier over access to every single Zelda game...... and yes, yes I would have. Switch has BotW and TotK, it is better

I honestly think it's annoying that whenever you're trying to talk about a console's games, there's at least one person who brings up games from previous generations. Yes, they're playable on the new console, but that's not what we're talking about. Super Metroid is a SNES game, not a Switch game.
Remakes and remasters are debatable. While I consider Xenoblade1 to be a Wii game, I can see why some bring up its Remaster as an important part of the Switch's library. But Virtual Console and Switch Online games? No, those should definitely not count when discussing a console's lineup.
@Aioniomios
To be frank, this kind of "which console had the better library" discussion is always pointless. It always ends with people making arbitrary qualifications about certain edge cases to try and justify their position. It's dumb. Really, the only objective way to talk about console libraries is to include ALL of the games you could play on that console. Then maybe have a discussion about which platform games that were on both platforms were best
And frankly, even if you include the advantage of the wider back catalogue Wii U had I still think the Switch wins out. Sure the Wii U had Wind Waker, Twilight Princess as well as Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. But Link's Awakening HD and Tears of the Kingdom are both significant wins for Switch. Also while the Wii U did have access to Skyward Sword.... it was in SD in Wii Mode as opposed to HD and properly portable.
The same is generally true for Mario, Metroid and so on. Eg the Wii U had access to New SMB Wii and the DS New SMB. But the Switch has Mario Land 2 on NSO, Odyssey, Bowser's Fury and Sunshine. The Wii U had access to Metroid Prime 2 & 3 but the Switch has Dread and a remastered version of Prime etc
Even so, if we're talking libraries you can't ignore the fact that the Switch has significant Wii and DS blindspots that simply didn't exist on Wii U. I mean, I'd take those blindspots in exchange for the clear advantages the Switch's library has without question. But those blindspots do exist
Gamers today have it so good. Prior to owning a Switch, if you asked me what my top three favorite consoles are. The PS1, the SNES, and the Neo Geo would be in the mix. But with the previous generation (PS4 and Xbone) and current generation of platforms (Switch, PS5, XSX) we're seeing several remasters and collections of classic games from those earlier platforms. It's easy to pick either the Switch, Playstation, or Xbox (whichever way your allegiance swings) because today's platforms have tens of thousands of games to play.
I don't need to own a Saturn to play Radiant Silvergun.
I don't need to own a Dreamcast to play Ikaruga.
I don't need to own a PSP to play Lumines.
I don't need to own PS2 to play Final Fantasy XII.

Oh, thanks for the quick reply.
I will prepare another e-mail for Japanese eshop account.
Btw, any zip postal code from Japan for No tax added ?
I choose Georgia for USA account to get zero tax added.
@Anti-Matter No clue, I just used my real address. You don't actually need a Japanese address for a Japanese account. I admit I never considered the tax angle.
@Anti-Matter did it ask for a Japanese zip code? For some reason I thought I still used my NA zip code even though I marked Japan as the county, but I may be misremembering. If it did ask me, I would have put my sister's zip code which is just a random Tokyo one (I'm on my phone and don't recall it off the top of my head). If you need one, I assume you can Google Japanese zip codes and use a random one. I believe all parts of Japan have the same sales tax. However, Japanese sales tax is fairly high so if it does let you use a non-Japan zip code that might be better.
Maybe someone else here remembers; I haven't used the Japanese eShop for a long time, sorry.

I already made a topic about it but... it didn't turn out well, so I'm asking here again: does anyone else feel like Switch's games get WAYAYAYAY too much hate? I'm honestly starting feeling like if I'm the only non-Japanese person in the world who loves the Switch and its games...
Who said Switch games get hated ? đŸ¤¨
Just play your games and ignore all the trolls / the haters said.

@JONOFTHEJONS
I keep hunting the 3rd party kids games on PS4 & PS5.
Those games are also on Switch, but I want them on PS4 / PS5 for better performance.
