Whenever the season pass is finished I'll fire up MK8 and play all the added courses in one go. I did do that for the first 2 waves but haven't gone back since.

Trails of Cold Steel 3 has me in a death grip right now and doesn't seem like it's gonna let up any time soon.

This new video is straight 🔥 🔥 🔥

Last time I saw Nintendo go this hard with a franchise introduction with custom animation was the original Splatoon reveal on Wii U

After finishing Pikmin 1, I decided to pre-order Pikmin 4. It looks interesting enough and I had a solid time with 1. After that I'll go back to 2 and 3.

@NintendoByNature
Did you play the demo for Pikmin 4 also?

Save data transfers over, and it gets the tutorial bit out the way also. Plus it's just super fun.

I adore all the Pikmin games, particularly Pikmin 3. But the gameplay in the Pikmin 4 demo takes it to a whole other level. They've truly refined and improved every little thing.

@JaxonH I haven't yet. I usually skip demos as crazy as it sounds. I'm pretty much sold on the game, so I'll fully dive in later this month. Looking forward to it.

Damn is Chaos;Head dark.

I can't remember the last video game I played that gave your character suicidal thoughts and tendencies.

I look forward to CoD being platform exclusive once these ten-year deals run through.

Microsoft was always expected to win with the FTC. The major roadblock in the UK is still the issue.

Not surprising but still very disappointing. This acquisition being allowed pretty much fuels an acquisition war and Nintendo will be the ones who suffer the most (e.g. no longer getting Square Enix games). CoD on Nintendo hardware is a terrible consolation prize.

Anti-Matter

Don't worry.
I will NEVER EVER support that disgusting rated 18+ game.
I HATE their existence.

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

@Magician Oh, sure. Never bet against the power of big money. Just saying: the FTC was never going to be an issue.

@Grumblevolcano I doubt Sony wants Square-Enix (they can keep money-hatting the few big games they actually care about), and there seems to be some sort of relationship issue between S-E and Microsoft, so I genuinely don't think that's something to be worried about at this stage.

@Grumblevolcano @Ralizah Sony looks set to be a very big loser from this, and not because of Call of Duty, but because the FTC made such a hilariously poor case (Saying Xbox could have timed exclusives and those are bad apparently) that the judge has dragged their third party deals in her response, stating that yeah, it could be bad for Sony, but no one else.

As soon as they got involved and made themselves the victim in the whole thing all those months ago, they should have surely known federal bodies would look at their deals and practices. Or maybe they hoped it would have gone smoother than this.

But now, people are pouring over everything and revealing that wow, Sony really has been predatory since entering the market. And sure, all the companies do stuff like that, but we're really getting an idea of the sheer scale here. Combine that with the Capcom leak a few years back about Sony paying for MH World to be specifically NOT on Switch, among many other stories of paying to keep games off of Game Pass etc. and its hard not to see someone along the chain of command pull out the magnifying glass and really take a deep dive.

F around and find out I suppose.

Why d'ya think ol' 46 has been in the UK this week?

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

I actually don't think this will have a huge affect on Nintendo, because acquiring even a mid-tier Japanese company is more difficult for an American company than what Microsoft is doing now. AAA western devs have usually very, very little to do with Nintendo's success and profits (and basically half the exceptions to that were Rare).

But it is a deeply concerning thing, in all aspects. Real megacorp **** happening here. And whatever respect I've gained for Microsoft the past decade is in serious doubt with how much its been made clear they want to buy out as many companies as possible. There is no "enough" for them it seems. The fact that people keep focusing on Sony is infuriating, even though they deserve it, that's not the real problem in current reality.

This is the type of thing where my personal preferences in entertainment, by accident, end up feeling comparably morally correct with Nintendo being disinterested in acquisitions barring the risk they'd lose a major partner dev like Next Level.

I don't know why Sony buying Square would be a response to MS buying Act-Blizz. Fortunately, SE has a good relationship with Sony and Nintendo and it doesn't look like they would want to be acquired. And as Raz already said, Sony would just money-hat the games they care about(which seems like its only mainline FF at this point, lol). That would just hurt Nintendo far more than MS.

IceClimbers

@KryptoniteKrunch @Ralizah I suppose the logic behind the idea of Sony acquiring SE is "buy it before Microsoft can/does". In other words, it would be more of a defensive move more than anything.

It'll be a few years before Microsoft can open up their wallet again though as they'll be under a microscope from governments worldwide after the ABK deal.

Not sure how many care about this game like i do, but Mythforce is coming September 12th. Really looking forward to this one. Love the artsyle and world that's been created. I'm getting He-Man vibes.

Cotillion

@NintendoByNature I only just found out about Mythforce yesterday when it popped up in a Steam recommendation. They had me at the old school 80s Saturday morning cartoon vibe and it went right on my wishlist!

Cotillion

NintendoByNature

@Cotillion yep. Really scratches that nostalgia itch. Hoping it plays well enough and reviews good. I'll go in day 1 if it does.
