Indie world just got announced. You don’t have to imagine youtubers clickbaiting people and labeling it as a Nintendo direct instead because that’s exactly what they will do.
Wait, why do we need a signature? Eh, I don’t know. Here’s your signature.

You just know the brainlets who populate their chat will be spamming "Metroid Prime 4" and "Silksong" the entire time and then go out into the rest of the internet to declare the presentation a disappointment when they don't show up.
I really don't see how niche DLC for a niche series getting a shadowdropped announcement is going to detract from the release of a niche series' first two (Western-released) installments' remakes
Ok gotta buy advance wars on principle now. Because it is gonna get snubbed.

Nintendo continuing to do everything possible to ensure Advance Wars sells as little as possible, lol.
I am excited, though, and I am buying all of those Xenoblade amiibo.
I'm gonna look at it as the 2nd half of the year is so loaded Nintendo had to release it now.
Say what you will but this has been some year by Nintendo so far lol
I think @Ralizah's logic adds up from what I've noticed:
Nintendo UK and Nintendo of Europe haven't mentioned Advance Wars once since the February Direct
Nintendo of America only promotes the game later in the day (6pm UK time at the earliest)
The game is rather far down the discover tab on the eshop meanwhile normally when a 1st party game or DLC is near release it's right at the top
Lots of stuff going on around it (TotK news, XC3 DLC release date, Indie World, etc.)
While I do agree that Silksong is very unlikely to appear in Indie World (my guess would be June in either a Direct, Summer Game Fest or Xbox Showcase), "Silksong is releasing later today" would be a very Nintendo move.
They're actually releasing Noah and Mio amiibo... why didn't they do this last year when the game released? Ah, no matter. As long as they're coming.
With Pyra and Mythra, Noah and Mio, as well as Shulk, that's a nice spread of XC amiibo. Wish they'd released one of Elma or the skell from XCX.

Your second point makes no sense at all, given that the UK is several hours ahead of any time zone in the US (and thus, these late evening promotions you talk about are really morning/midday promotions in the regions that NOA actually operates in).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
The game has been delayed multiple times and has now had a slew of exciting first-party releases piled in front of it. That's not how you treat a game if you want to maximize sales revenue. Especially a series like this that has struggled to take off in the past.
Nintendo not releasing either Future Redeemed or AW in June tells me they're giving Rain Code the month to itself, which is interesting. They really are giving Kodaka's game the red carpet treatment.
@old-dad As far as I'm concerned, Switch has been on fire almost continuously since 2021. What an amazing console generation!
