So there's apparently a piece of software on the Switch eshop that tries to sell you another calculator app by pairing it with a half-naked anime catgirl.
If this isn't the perfect representation of the unregulated chaos that is Nintendo's modern digital storefront, I don't know what is.

I think I've reached the point where like even a month is a long time. The TotK trailer didn't leave much of an impression on me but I think part of it is because TotK is still a month away. Meanwhile in a week we're finally getting Advance Wars 1+2, the collection that was originally going to release in December 2021 is so close.
Maybe I will take a vacation day off work for it after all. The following Monday, not Friday. Otherwise the start of the 3 day weekend- Thursday evening- gets wasted from the game not being out yet.

@JaxonH i trough Nintendo countdt surpass the Switch presentation trailer, but they managed to make a more bombastic, epic and better trailer then the Switch presentation trailer, S+++ for this trailer, i was already hyped for Tears of The Kingdom, now with this trailer my hype is trough the straphohere, i loving this trailer seen to imply Tears of the Kingdom will be a mix of tradicional Zelda formula with the more open format of Breath of the Wild
I like science fiction. I like survival games. I like the Dune universe. So when I see gameplay for Starsand, I'm intrigued. But I get the sneaking suspicion this game is going to run like butt on the Switch.

@Ralizah the digital eshop is such a ****show these days, I see the most random and ridiculous stuff on there. Nintendo has taken a stance against NSFW catgirl games, yet they all still manage to appear on the eshop. Whenever I go on that eshop, I see the same things. Metroid Prime selling well, and Cars 3: Driven to win on a 90% sale.
Wait, why do we need a signature? Eh, I don’t know. Here’s your signature.

@Anti-Matter I'll be sure to tag you when the ripped anime catboy calculator app drops.
@TheBigBlue I don't actually mind that stuff like this exists, and it's less offensive to my sensibilities than, say, those $1 "games" designed to exploit trophy collectors on PSN. It just struck me how funny it is that this exists at all. A very particular set of circumstances had to line up for someone to even think of releasing an app like this on a console's digital storefront.
Anyway, Nintendo really needs to take a page from Valve and introduce a tagging system or something so people can actually find the games they want. There's too much stuff constantly pouring into the eshop to not have sort of organization tool.

check out the analysis of Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom final trailer and Jack Mathew, ex-tech engineer of the Metroid Prime trilogy coment on the Metroid Prime Remastered
Gosh that is a fantastic interview ! Metroid Prime was master class on gamecube and the people at Retro/Iron Galaxy nailed the remaster. Guess I'll be playing that again tonight lol.
Another note. I just can't watch anymore TOTK till I have a controller in hand lol.
Watching the interview and how great MP remaster is I would love for Ninteindo to give Ocarina the same treatment.
@old-dad I kind of want to load up my Wii U to play Prime 2 but Prime 2 Remastered in June feels likely. Just shadow dropped like they did with Prime 1 to keep up the hype for Prime 4.
@Old-Dad@Grumblevolcano if Retro Studios has managed to make Metroid prime the most beatiful Switch game as a remaster, i imagine Metroid Prime 4 will look so impressive, people will question is Nintendo Switch is really running this impressive looking game at 60fps, with praticaly no framerate drop on TV/handheld mode, Metroid Prime 4 will be most impressive first party game developed for Nintendo Switch, to end the Switch generation with a bang.
Would Prime 2 remastered arrive so fast? Even though Prime Remastered was just building off of the original, it still took Retro Studios years to remaster, along with the help of several other studios. I wouldn’t expect Prime 2 remastered of all things to just fly out of the oven. I would wait much much longer.
@TheBigBlue Metroid Prime Remastered would have started work around 2018, and has a known ratings filing over 18 months prior to release, which means the game was content complete. So thats 3 or so years of development time with an easily transferable codebase and toolset. I wouldnt be shocked if there was a lot of simultaneous development, if any other remasters should come about.
