With all the trouble developers are having making games right now I'm more than content waiting a year maybe 2.

Nintendo absolutely doesn’t need to make a console sequel anytime soon. Doug Bowser said himself that the switch still has some games and some conceptual games coming down the pipe for the future. And no sequel means good things for my wallet, I’m already going to burn a hole in it paying for TOTK

I don’t ask for much. If I can have (A Genealogy Of The Holy War remake) than I will be satisfied. Yes that was a damn fire emblem reference I am completely obsessed

@TheBigBlue I would personally never trust anything he says because it’s all PR. I’m sure he would say the exact same thing 10 minutes before Nintendo officially announced the date and teaser for the reveal of the Switch successor. Deny everything and promote the current system is what they’ll always do.

@TheBigBlue
But I still keep finding BS treatments from pesky game companies by gave the worst version for Switch (partial download, downgraded quality, code in box, streaming only) but better version for PS4 / PS5 and XBOX version.
Nintendo Switch hardware is started to look outdated after 6 years in my opinion

Those 2019 Apu Xbox and Sony are using looking pretty meh right now and they might as well put a code in the box. Most of the games have to be downloaded anyway.

Jedi runs sub 720p and Redfall is a hot mess. Better off building a 500 dollar pc so at the very least you can upgrade it and muscle through a lot of development issues lol

@NeonPizza I said this last time, but a few of these games have not been announced for the switch in 2023, if ever. Pizza Tower is still deconfirmed. And the Pixel Remaster collection is already out.

@Giancarlothomaz pikmin 4 would count because it’s a first party franchise and the last entry sold over 1 million copies I believe

@old-dad
Starlink Switch version was a scam for being partial download, so I will pick PS4 version for full version game.

@JONOFTHEJONS series S is well worth it for the AAA titles that don't come to switch. I got one back in December specifically for that reason and gamepass

@TheBigBlue i know, but can Pikimin 4 drive Switch sales like a Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom or a next 2D Mario would do?problaby a little, but not to the extent a Legend of Zelda game would do, nothing agaist Pikimin, i know that is a amazing franchise(i myself played Pikimin 1 e 2)

@JONOFTHEJONS I'm in no rush for new hardware lol. Switch games just have a console feel imo. Looks fine on my 4k tv and plays the games I enjoy. Of course eventually it will get replaced but I wont be banging that drum.

It is fun to speculate and look at some of the latest ARM development to see where they might go 😛

There's a game on the Coming Soon section of the eShop that's Disc Golf, using motion controls to throw the disc.

Graphics aren't the best but I've seen worse. Looks on par with those farming sim games.

It's just a $15 indie but, I have a thing for video game disc golf, especially with motion controls. If the game controls well, that's all that matters. The fun of the game is literally in throwing the discs and curving them around trees and stuff.

I might check it out. Looks like the kind of game that would never get reviewed and even if it did, would score a 6/10 at best. But to me, it could be a 10/10 for fun factor if they nail the controls.

@JONOFTHEJONS i dont think to talk about the sucessor of Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch is already 6 years old, the typical lifecycle of a Nintendo console, we should be expecting a reveal and launch of Switch sucessor this holiday season or next spring(march/april), theres already been reports that the chipset of Switch sucessor has been taped, NERD is looking for profissionals to work on cross-gen games on Switch and it sucessor, plus the fact the games for the second half of the year is still unknown, lead me to believe the Switch sucessor could be revealed(problaby in june/july) and released this octobre/novembre or next spring

Around 80% of people who own a Switch don’t even care new hardware

Anyone can make up statistics. And in any case, what do you even mean by this? That right now "80%" of people with a Switch are happy with the hardware? Or that if there was better hardware "80%" of people wouldn't be interested?

I'm not sure either is true and the latter most certainly isn't. The Switch released 6 years ago, people who got one at launch will be considering a newer SKU purely due to wear. That 80% number, works out to roughly be everyone who brought a Switch before around mid 2018. Those people will be looking for something new. If there was substantially better hardware? People will buy it, it's not even a question

I honestly don't know why people cling to this "the hardware is fine as it is and should never be improved" mindset
