Topic: The Nintendo Switch Thread

@old-dad I've never actually touched FFII, only played the 3D remake of III, and have little experience with V, so there'll be a lot new here for me.

And, of course, looking forward to re-experiencing classics like IV and VI again.

@Colonel_Mustache They were announced a while back, but we didn't really know when they were coming out.

Glad I resisted them when they were on PC.

@Ralizah played the original on a buddy's NES way back when lol. I was a Sega guy growing up so Phantasy Star and Shining Force was more my jam so I missed out on most of PSX and Snes RPG so Im loving all these re-re-releases.

Well just stumbled upon this little nugget while looking for reviews of Crime and Punishment.

Never tried any of these but they are on sale in the e-shop. Anyone tried these ?

Super Mario 3D World is so freaking amazing. The Super Mario Bros movie has me in a tizzy of Mario hype, which I haven't felt since Odyssey tbh. Even when 3D World released I got to World-Bowser and stopped (already beat on Wii U, except Champion's Road which I could never quite beat).

But coming back to it now... What. An absolute. Gem. Of a game.

@JaxonH I agree for sure, Super Mario 3D World is such a fantastic game. I'd put it up there with the likes of Super Mario World, Galaxy 1 and 2, and Odyssey, those are among my favorite Mario platformers! I've finished Champion's Road a couple years back and it was so satisfying to finally finish. I even went ahead and used a 3D World profile icon for my Switch as soon as I found out!

Played 3D world on the Wii U. It’s just pure fun. That’s all it is. The only reason I haven’t bought it again is because I’ve already played and enjoyed it! Gotta make room for newer games I haven’t played.

Next week is going to be very interesting to see whether they stay quiet about TotK as the game is 1 month away on Wednesday.

@Grumblevolcano i heard some rumbling that Nintendo might do a Nintendo Direct focused on Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on april 12th, we shall see if next week by this day(april 12th, this rumor become a reality).
