i hope Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom fix the weapon durability, i will be extremely disapoited if the weapon durability stay the same, Nintendo let me repair/fortify my weapons, i depise breakable weapons, translation waiting for unbreakble weapons in Tears of the Kingdom is the same Ganon doing the gospel, so sadly Nintendo will not fix the weapon durability in Tears of the Kingdom

@Giancarlothomaz I am honestly not expecting them to change out the weapon durability feature in Tears Of The Kingdom. They will most likely refine the already in place system, but I am not expecting more than that. I guess we might get a demonstration of the feature in the 10 minute gameplay demo that Nintendo will be putting out tomorrow.

The Show 2023 on Switch is a pretty massive glow up from last year.

The 3DS eshop has closed. How long do we think the Switch has left.

A very long time. My guess is 20 years, minimum.

3DS and Wii U used legacy 3rd party storefronts, and were still early systems before Nintendo established a unified account system with games that could be redownloaded onto other systems.

Switch marks a new era of Nintendo Accounts, digital storefronts and access. Unlike with previous generations, the storefront will remain the "eShop" with system level account access moving forward. That doesn't mean it'll last forever (no digital console storefront will) but given the fact even Wii U lasted a decade, with a Legacy storefront, when games were still tied to hardware, and being a failed system at that, and you can still redownload purchased games so even though you cant make new purchases, you can still access your old ones...

So ya. I'd say Switch eShop will see a good 20 years. I suspect it'll shut down in 2037. By which time Switch 4 will be launching and nobody will give a crap about buying Switch games.

@Giancarlothomaz That particular mechanic is a very divided subject on the internet, but I don't mind the game either way. I used to hate it, but now I believe it adds diversity to the game. And requires you to plan your next battle, especially on Master Mode.

I think how long the Switch eshop lasts will depend on to what extent future systems get backwards compatibility with Switch games. If Nintendo goes in the crazy experimental direction again and someday scraps the hybrid concept then the Switch eshop will likely be in danger.

Been holding off on a OLED cause I just didnt care for the white but this Zelda themed model looks right up my alley ! Gonna need that pro controller too

My Nintendo Store is completely breaking under TotK preorders, the queue is over an hour long.

@Ryu_Niiyama I'm not, I was going to, but to me the only bit that looks good is the screen and the backplate.
The joy con backs are white, the gold on white on the dock, no thanks, and the designs on the front of the joycons have nothing to do with Zelda.

When i finally get an OLED I'll just get a cover like this:

Love the Fuse mechanic. It's the perfect way to balance weapon degradation, as you can now just fuse with anything to not only reset weapon damage, but craft a better, more interesting weapon.
