@NintendoByNature
Having learned it's now 3 planned games, with the second not releasing until winter 2023 (which means it'll likely be delayed to 2024), and if the 3rd takes the same time between we're looking at 2027, plus 1 yr exclusivity before coming to PC, then another year for Steam...
I'm just gonna hold off until the entire 3-part game is released, on Steam, as a single bundle purchase, probably around the year 2030. Sounds ludicrous but that's legit what it's going to be. Then, finally, I can play the full game start to finish on Steam Deck 2 (or Switch 2, which it'll probably get released on by that point).
I'll check out Crisis Core on Switch though.

@JaxonH The fact the FFVII Remake announcement was just Steam rather than Steam and Xbox seems to make it clear that the remake trilogy is staying PS console exclusive forever. I'm also leaning towards the Sony acquiring Square Enix rumours being true:
FFVII Remake PS exclusivity for 1 year -> PS5 version adding an extra 6 months exclusivity -> Epic Games adding an extra 6 months exclusivity -> Sony being well into acquiring Square Enix before the Epic exclusivity expires so Xbox version never happens much like the Bethesda acquisition cancelled the PS5 version of Starfield
I didn't see that. Bout freaking time. It does suck Sony is intent on paying to deprive everyone of this series. It's not like PS got skipped over and they're paying to get their own entry to level the playing field, they're just making sure everyone else misses out.
But we're used to that from Sony at this point. It's expected. As long as it comes to Steam, I'm happy. Steam = Steamdeck = hybrid play.
I don't think Sony is buying SE though. I think that's wishful fan thinking. If they were, they wouldn't be wasting 100+ million dollars paying to keep all their FF games off other platforms. They'd just buy the company and not worry about it.
Buying companies requires those companies to want to sell in the first place, and it requires them to not be outbid. They sold their western studios which, if Sony was looking to buy them, they would have bought. Those were quality studios that make big budget AAA games which Sony focuses on now.
No. They're not buying them. But they will continue to pay to ensure their games get delayed to heck on other platforms. Which... to me I kinda feel like if you can't convince ppl to buy your console without paying for dozens of multiplatform games to not release elsewhere, maybe that money would be better spent investing in 1st party.
This is why I do my best to not support that practice. One game here and there, ok, every game in a widely beloved series, over and over and over again? Nah, I can wait.

TMNT Shredder's Revenge initial impressions are very good.
I'll just come out and say it. I'm not much of a fan of side scrolling beatemups. The only one I've ever loved is Maximum Carnage on Genesis (and Separation Anxiety on SNES). I didn't get into Streets of Rage 4. I hated Scott Pilgrim.
So I wasn't really expecting to like this game. And yet... I love it! It's so good! This is how you do the genre justice. The only thing I dislike is having to press forward twice to run. I always use the analog stick and it's awkward. Wish there was just a button to press. And every game of the genre does it.
That aside, this game is basically perfection, and definitely the most fun I've had with a 2D side scrolling beatemup since Maximum Carnage.
Between Neon White and TMNT Shredder's Revenge my plate is chock full of the utmost high quality games. Throw in Fire Emblem Three Hopes and Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak and this is a bonanza. With Sonic Origins Collection and Demon Slayer as a cherry on top.

Yeah & I just posted elsewhere, it's Steam Deck verified, @JaxonH .... It should be available any minute now, so I'll check how much they're asking
If they launch it at full price, I'm waiting until it's at least 1/3rd off
@JaxonH What blows me away about TMNT Shredder's Revenge is that it truly feels like a product of the early nineties...brought to life with all the modern-day QoL expected of a 2022 game.
The art direction and general presentation are phenomenal. The game looks especially stunning on the OLED - everything's just so vibrant...I'm seeing colours that I'm pretty sure I forgot existed.
Very few new games are able to evoke this warm nostalgic feeling in me and I fully welcome it.
@TheMelodiusRose I suppose it makes sense given the fact that 2 is basically a gigantic update to 1 more or less but yeah, confidence it does not inspire.

Oh btw, on IGN's NVC podcast yesterday, Peer Schneider confidently said, "wait for the Direct" when discussing Persona on Switch.
He didn't sound like he was speculating. He gave a smirk and said, "there's one platform suspiciously missing, and there's a Direct coming soon, hmmm...". He basically just straight up said for fans to stop freaking out, it's coming.
Shortly after when discussing something else, another panelist was speculating and clarified, "I don't have any inside information, I just think..." almost to imply Peer did have info when discussing Persona.
Just more evidence that aligns with NateTheHate.
@Clyde_Radcliffe
I haven't played online (and certainly not 6 player) so I couldn't say. I'm sure reviews would provide some insight to this though.
@Buizel
It really does, but offers way more depth than games of that era. I love how many different moves there are. I can't even remember them all when playing.

And even more evidence Persona is indeed coming to Switch.
Zippo, a leaker with spotty but sometimes reliable history correctly told us P3P was getting a multiplat remaster back in December, and now reaffirms it's coming to Switch alongside Xbox and PS. Says he's not sure about P5 though, similar to NateTheHate.
However, a German site just listed Persona 5 Royal for Switch today. So, there's that.

Pretty cool. Although the Persona series isn't my cup of tea (I much prefer the mainline games) I will be purchasing a copy on general principle. Voting with my wallet and all that jazz.

And here's yet even more evidence for Persona on Switch.
This leaker is verified and correctly told us about P4AU for PS4, NSW and Steam well before it was announced, as well as P3P/P4G for PS, Xbox, Switch and PC.
They say P3P and P4G are for sure 100% coming to Switch. They say they don't know about P5R, but they imagine it's highly likely. It just wasn't one they for sure knew about.
@StarPoint
At least P3P and P4G, those are a lock. P5R is the only one up in the air.
@Magician
I respect it. Gotta put our money where our collective mouth is. Persona and Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core will be a perfect opportunity for Switch gamers to voice their demand in $$$

Oh my god, I can't wait for the second wave of drama when they announce P3 and P4 late this year, but completely skip out on the one Switch owners have been begging for since forever. And they'll put the cherry on top by announcing an expanded edition of SMT V for everything but Switch.
It's wild to think how much they've aggravated the Nintendo fanbase after they released 75% of their games on Nintendo systems last decade.

I don't think the latter will happen, but it would surprise me less than Persona 5 being on Switch.
