I fixed this, the lack of light annoyed me.

I think regarding this year's lineup:

• Kirby and the Forgotten Land outsells Kirby Star Allies
• Three Hopes outsells the original Fire Emblem Warriors
• XC3 sells around the same as XC2
• Splatoon 3 outsells Splatoon 2 if they're different enough (right now Splatoon 3 looks like it could've been added to Splatoon 2 instead but we haven't had the big Splatoon 3 Direct yet)
• Sparks of Hope doesn't outsell Kingdom Battle
• Bayonetta 3 sells around the same as Bayonetta 2
• Scarlet/Violet doesn't outsell Sword/Shield

Oooh, so Splatoon 3 on September 9th .... Has everyone seen that news?

Easy to forget with all the exclusives coming out, but don't forget another Legend of Heroes is launching on the system this year. Simultaneously with the other versions this time!

@NeonPizza Given your paralyzing fixation on input latency and high framerates, I'm not sure why you'd bother trying any non-exclusive on the system, tbh.

@Grumblevolcano Yeah, I also think Sparks of Hope will undersell Kingdom Battle, unfortunately. There really hasn't been a lot of fanfare for the sequel, which is unfortunate, since it looks like the closest thing we'll be getting these days to a proper Mario RPG.

Lol I totally forgot about Trails from zero but have it preordered (I try to preorder NIS games because I always have trouble getting them). But thanks for the reminder. I’m going to have to block off a lot of time for the holidays to play catch up.

I did a search but couldn't find this specifically. I'm interested in the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games but my question is. Is it better to buy it itself or go thru the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion pack? If I go with the online membership will the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games still be mine if I choose to stop the online membership? Thank you.

@VinnyEth2022 You have to have the online expansion pack membership in order to access the games. And if you ever cancel your membership, the games will no longer be accessible.

Thank you StarPoint. I went with the online expansion pack membership for now for the other DLC as well. Interested also in the Mario Kart DLC.

Yeah this is one of the main reasons I'm waiting a bit to get it. Because this game can very obviously run without issues on Switch, there's no way it can't. Just as of right now it has not worked out that way because of whatever happened when porting it (I assume they just weren't given enough time).

I love that we're finally getting a localization of the Crossbell arc. We really need a western release of the first two Trails of Cold Steel games on Switch. They're not Deck compatible (first is untested, second is unsupported, though I have managed to play a bit of Trails of Cold Steel 1 on it without issue so far- I hear it can crash a lot though so we'll see).

For anyone intimidated by the 4-game Trails of Cold Steel arc, this 2-game arc is a perfect way to get into Trails. Granted, Trails to Zero was originally a 2010 PSP game. So the art style has that more chibi PSP/DS era look. Basically, don't expect it to be like Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4. But just because the art style is simpler doesn't mean the game is any less fun. And tbh, I think the artstyle in this game looks insanely good.

Remember SyluxHunter who is the leaker I said I'd watch after they correctly predicted Nier Automata, Persona 3, 4, 5 and Mario Rabbids for the last Direct, and having checked their previous post history with other correct leaks. And then they told us Bayonetta 3 would release Oct 28th 3 weeks prior to the announcement, and then told us about the announcement the day before? And I said OK, this leaker is gospel now.

They agreed to an interview with SwitchForce. Their whole shtick is pretending to be Sylux, which hey, whatever. All I care about is whether you're providing accurate info.

In any case, you can watch the interview if you want. But they gave a tease for something not yet announced. And I'm curious to see if anyone here can decipher it.

Binary would be 25 7 2 16 which, if translated to letters, would be YGBP. You Got Boost Power? A new F-Zero game? No, we're never getting another F-Zero lol. That can't be it. Could be dates? 7/25 and 2/16? But why the reverse order then?

Maybe someone smarter than me can figure this out.

Holy crap, it was an F-Zero reference!

He does say manage expectations a bit, though. Perhaps just a port of GX?

I'd be happy with an F-Zero collection, including the GBA games. We need Climax to get an international release. But I somehow wonder if it could be a port of the arcade game F-Zero AX instead. Nintendo seems to love to port their arcade titles to Switch after all.

F-Zero AX only had 5 tracks iirc, and those tracks were actually unlockable in F-Zero GX. So a port of GX would essentially provide both. Seems to be the obvious choice.

Cause I can't imagine they're making a new entry. They've stated time and again they have no "new idea" for it (which is ironic given so many other franchises get new entries without big new ideas).

In any case, I'd be thrilled to see F-Zero GX on Switch. HD visuals, easier difficulty mode, online play. Done and done. That's all they need to do. I suspect it won't sell that well though. There aren't many of us F-Zero fans left.

I agree GX would be a far better choice, but you know... this is Nintendo we're talking about, they don't always follow the most logic path. I don't know, this is probably my way of keeping my expectations in check: expect the least, hope for the best.

Yeah, GX HD lineups up with everything; manage your expectations probably means we're not getting a new game, but GX HD would be a pretty big deal in its own right.

Nothing confirmed here obviously, but SyluxHunter saying this is definitely a good sign. Fingers crossed.
