I've played Fall Guys... It's mediocre

@Kermit1 I think the game itself isn't mediocre, but rather the Switch version. That's just my take at least.

The gameplay shown looks fine, and even the narrator says it’s fine. So… huh?

I personally will always avoiding games with F2P practice since I'm against free 2 play games with some micro transactions on it.
Free 2 play games are never meant to be free 100%, there is always some money transaction behind free 2 play games and I will not support or living in F2P games.
I still being dinosaur, playing games in old style, with disc and cartridge + all contents inside the physical media as possible.

@Fizza It's not a bad game and on Switch I thought the 3fps character models were funny. It's just when I played it for a bit (same thing happened with Pokemon Unite) I got tired of all the micro-transactions...

Not a good reason to stop playing a game I know but I'd rather get destroyed on SSBU online then play this if that makes any sense.

8/10, everything was very well made, and I got into games very fast. (NintendoLife hire me lol)

@Anti-Matter I'm very much in the same camp myself: if it looks like pop ups for money spending are a constant, I don't want anything to do with it. There is one F2P game however that I play regularly that to this day I haven't spent a cent on and still had a great time. It's probably not the one you'd expect either.

There's still stuff you can buy for real world money, but it's very generous when it comes to giving you the currency to make stuff happen without paying anything and playing it is one of the most relaxing things I've ever done. I have 145 hours in it and I'm still having a great time even now.

@Fizza I've downloaded that, but only played it for like 10 minutes because I found the touch controls weird. But I bet if I spend more time with the game I will enjoy the controls more.

@WoomyNNYes I deleted Fall Guys off my Switch and when I went to sign in on the Epic Games Store website, it said there was nothing to sign into and it prompted me to create a new account altogether. Does that mean that, by deleting Fall Guys, I also got rid of my Epic account? I'll take it if that's the case.

@Fizza I googled "epic games sign in". You should get this page where they want you to select your platform to sign in. https://www.epicgames.com/id/login
You'll pick nintendo, it redirects to nintendo.com to sign in. After you login, it drops you back onto epicgame's site showing your your account. Scroll down to "DELETE ACCOUNT" and you'll see a button: REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETE.

If you are unsuccessful to access your epic games account, then maybe they didn't keep it.

Intrusive microtransactions sound like a great reason to avoid playing something.

@WoomyNNYes I genuinely think they didn't keep it. When I clicked on your link, all it did was take me to the create an account page, not the login page. Also, when I couldn't get into Fall Guys earlier, it was due to an 'authentication error' and a 'failure to login'. It must've just forgotten my account! It's nothing to worry about anyway since, like you said yourself, it's literally just for cross-platform play/progression but it's nice to have it settled in my mind.

I downloaded Fall Guys, because I wanted to try it. We'll see if it works for me. I'm curious if I struggle to get matches like you did.

I played fall guys today, and holy, epic what did you do too my boy? The currency sucks, I didn’t get all the collar skins, and now I never will without paying money, the BP is the same thing as every ftp on the market, I supported this game so much because I could jump on every season, free BP, and they would have some of there paid bundles, but my god this is not what I meant when I said I wanted it to go ftp, and I don’t think other did ether.

Now I know it doesn’t alter gameplay one bit, but all my hard earned crowns being converted into kudos that can only be spent on common items? It sucks, it feels bad, I wouldn’t have cared if I got the skin I saved those crowns up for, but alas, I know this is a petty complaint, I’m complaining about spending money in a ftp game, sigh

Sorry for the rant, as for the new rounds, I actually love them a lot, Heck I might even say there my favorite rounds in the last two season, Well at least I got the for free, and it’s actually pretty neat, I like the skins.

I'm waiting for 20 minutes and still waiting to play online in fall guys, is it like this on playstation

@Fizza In Fall Guys, I waited three times for about a minute, and never got a match. I'm so used to finding matches/races almost immediately in Mario Kart & Rocket LEague, that I just turned off the game. I don't know if there's server issues, or just not enough switch players? Maybe online matches are not cross platform.

Fall Guys recognized me booting up the game, because of my Rocket League account (owned by Epic Games).

Fall Guys never looked good to me. Seemed like a fad that had its time and died off. But, that's just my impression. edit After watching a review, I'll admit it looks more fun than I've given it credit for, could be entertaining actually

Btw, Baldo got a "resurrected" re-review from SwitchUp after the 2 man dev team addressed each and every criticism they made in their original review, and added an expansion on top of it.

Seems like it's now the game everyone wanted it to be.
