Fall Guys requires an Epic Games account even on Switch, are you ********* kidding me.

@DarthNocturnal I'll probably make one when I'm not in such a strop but of all the gaming companies, the last one I'd want to make an account for would be Epic.

OMFG a free game you have to create an account for? How dare they! It's the end of the world yet I feel fine. ;P

With Rocket League (owned by Epic Games) they prompt you for an Epic Games account when you first boot up the game, but you can skip it, at least for Rocket League you can (like if you press B to back out). For Rocket League & Fortnite, the Epic Games account is for cross platform save data, nothing more, as far as I've seen. And, as far as creating an Epic Games account goes, you can sign in with your existing nintendo account username & pw. You don't even need to make a new username & pw. So, sign in once with your nintendo account, and you'll never see the prompt again.

EDIT: Now that I'm just thinking about it there, is there a way to delete an Epic account later on? Just in case, you know?

@Fizza Rocket League lets you just sign in with your existing nintendo account username and pw. So, you're kind of not-creating a new account somewhere? This is just so Epic Game's server can have a copy of your game save data for cross platform support. Once you've linked to Epic Games with your existing nintendo account, you're done.

@WoomyNNYes If you go to the Epic website and log in (this is on a desktop PC) then click on the top right hand side you should see your user name, click or ohver over this and it should pop up with account, click on this it will bring up the general Option Starting with General Settings, scroll down and the last option is Delete Account "Request Account Delete" button

There's this European law called "The right to be forgotten". Even if a website or service doesn't have a feature build-in to delete your account, you should be able to contact them with that request and they HAVE to abide within 30 days. And yes, this also counts for companies who're stationed in different parts of the world. From the moment they do business in the EU, they have to abide to this law, so you're safe.

@Tremblucay Epic Games is in EU, isn't it? So, then you probably can delete your account.

Like I said, it doesn't matter where they're from. As long as they do business in the EU, they have to let you delete your account.
Edit: at least, they have to do it for EU-citizens.

@Fizza Nah, you're fine<3 I hate this world of always needing to create accounts and give out email addresses, but this epic games thing isn't sharing your cellphone. It's how a game is structured, and you set up a slot on Epic Games server for your game progress. All of our online games are hosted on a server, somewhere. Your NSO cloud backup, is a nintendo server. Cross platform online games have a server.
