@Magician That's gross. That needs to change, I'm sick and tired of seeing ""Game Companies"" exploiting the younger generations because they see (insert thing here) in (insert game here) (insert reason here), or they see "people" on the internet play (insert game here) and without knowing half the time they were even paid to do it, or those "people" paid crazy amounts or money themselves to get (insert thing here). So then a kid would see their favourite (person on the internet) play and get crazy pulls, and the kid sees that and uses his money to get (thing) and hoping for a good pull. Then creating a want, and losing his money because it's heavily rigged, maybe once in his life time he might get a crazy pull like the ones he sees, but at the end of the day it's not a healthy thing for a kid (using his parents money) to blindly throw money at lootbox gambling, and heck sadly that kid might have a gambling problem down the road or at the young age of 10.
@Kermit1
There were a lot of Pachinko games (Casino slot games) even during PS2 and PS3 era.
And the games was rated CERO A in Japan (Everyone).
How was the culture changed during the time.
Gambling is hard enough to avoid (once it sucks you into its trap) when it's your own money. How much more then when it's your parent's money and you have no concept of hard work or stored value from labor.
You know what? It's 7 days til June. And you know what happens in June? I'll tell you. Lots of things.
Not one, not two, but three big exclusive Switch games in the month of June.
Mario Strikers Battle League
Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak
And lots of multiplats, too. Demon Slayer, Touken Ranbu Warriors, Capcom Fighting Collection, AI Somnium Files sequel, Klonoa and Sonic Collections (or maybe that's July? I can't keep track, there's too many).
But the big 3. That's what's up. Freaking 3 big exclusives in a single month with half a dozen other games as a cherry on top. Yes sir. June is a month to behold.

Yongyea, I can't believe people still watch that guy. He reads news articles while rambling long enough to get past the ten-minute mark—garbage content.
Next week will have the first ever F-Zero related Switch profile icon, namely a background for MK8's Mute City. They're going from left to right in the cup selection screen and after Special Cup is Egg Cup.
@Yoshi2
Nobody can ever predict with 100% certainty whether you'll like a game. So that risk is always there.
But what I can say, is that Zelda Breath of the Wild is objectively one of the highest rated games of all time, it's one of my personal favorites, and the gameplay cadence is nothing like Skyrim. Barring a few very general parallels they couldn't be more different.
Will you like it? I don't know. All we can do is infer probabilities- what is the likelihood you'll like it? The vast majority of people who have played it say its one of the greatest games ever made. And even of the ones who don't, most of them would at least concede it's still a great game and definitely worth buying. So there's a very, very high probability you will not regret it.

@Yoshi2 Before the Switch, the last console I had as a PS2. I got the Switch because I had to have Mario Kart 8. Mario Odyssey & Breath of the Wild are basically revolutionary, setting new benchmarks for their series. Like JaxonH said, BOTW was one of the most highly reviewed games in a long time. The world in BOTW is surreal, the game's structure is revolutionary in some ways. The odds that you'll like it don't get any better. Although, since this is the internet, there will always be people in here that have negative things to say about it, but it's sales & consistently high review scores speak for themselves. It was also game of the year.
So, since I got the Switch, here are the games that I didn't anticipate liking, but became my new favorite games. Breath of the Wild Mario Odyssey Splatoon 2(don't let the kid-friendly art style fool you, it's an epic shooter. I almost passed on this game because it looked too family friendly to me, but my friend insisted that I really should try it. I'm very glad he insisted.) Rocket League
@Yoshi2 I forgot to say, between the last week of May, and mid June, there will likely be sales on Nintendo titles. This sale used to happen around E3 in the first half of June, but even without E3 in the previous two years, there have still been big sales during this period. Usually, the most Nintendo discounts their flagship games is 33-20%.
edt: In fact, in the US here, BOTW(physical) is on sale for 33% off right now at some retailers. Sometimes some regions start their sales on different days or following weeks. (at least, that's what I've seen for North America & UK/EU.)
I still really dislike that eshop preorders don't automatically take funds when you preorder anymore. I look at my eshop credit and then suddenly remember I need to make sure there's still at least £35.99 present or otherwise I'm not getting MH Rise Sunbreak. I much prefer the approach Xbox has where if you preorder anything using Xbox Gift Card funds then the funds are taken straight away meanwhile if you use something like a credit card then the funds are taken around 10 days before launch.
@Grumblevolcano I think it's because of some pre-order rules in certain countries.
Now they charge/begin downloading a week in advance.
Might be because Nintendo doesn't do chargebacks, so if you pre-order ahead of time you are able to cancel the purchase if you should change your mind.
