Wow, 2 bangers i was not expecting coming to switch. DioField looks like it'll scratch that FE itch for me. And I can't say enough great things about the tmnt collection. Im over the moon happy about that.
@NintendoByNature
I just checked into The Diafield Chronicle. The developer is the same team behind the recently released Monarch, and Lost Dimension, Etrian Odyssey 1 and 2, SMT Strange Journey, and some lesser known titles.
So, not too impressive? But apparently they have someone who worked on Fire Emblem many years writing the scenario (explains the similarities in setting, style, etc) and someone who worked on Final Fantasy many years helping as well.
I also checked the game's website and the music that plays is pretty good (that's ALWAYS a surefire tell on a game's quality- if the music is mediocre the game will likely be as well, but when the music is really really good, it bodes well... and the music is really really good)
It also has tons of character descriptions and screenshots. I recommend checking it out

@JaxonH nice! I haven't played those others yet. But, from the quick look of it, it looks like it's right up my alley. If it's headed in the same direction as triangle, I think we're in for a treat. I'm enjoying my time with triangle thus far.
@blindsquarel
Oh, Ryan game.
Yup. He was Ryan from YouTube.
I prefer cartoonish racing games like Race with Ryan or Blaze & The Monster Machines over than any realistic racing games since I only like cartoonish graphics and Mario Kart style racing games with items to smack on opponents so any realistic racing games just bored me for boring ultra realistic graphic and boring smooth sailing drive without whimsical things. No Mario Kart style = No buy.
When I saw that in the State of Play, I thought it was a new Final Fantasy Tactics game, @JaxonH & @NintendoByNature .... Needless to say, I'm sold! It's even coming to Steam this year as well, so Sony haven't thrown money at them for it to be 'exclusive'
Switch in 2022 sure seems to be full of strategy games. Triangle Strategy, Metal Slug Tactics, Sparks of Hope, DioField Chronicle, Advance Wars may still release this year and Fire Emblem may even appear outside of Three Hopes given Awakening 2013, Fates 2016, Three Houses 2019.
Also Marvel Midnight Sun, 13 Sentinels (it's strategy of its own kind), and if that Final Fantasy Tactics remaster pans out like it's rumored to, that would be the cherry on top.
edit
No wonder The Diofield Chronicle had such great music on the game's web page.
It also features a stunning orchestrated soundtrack, by world-renowned composer Ramin Djawadi - best known for his work on Game of Thrones, Westworld, Pacific Rim

I popped a thread for it up here as soon as I found out it was coming to Switch, too ..... Wasn't the FFT Remaster leaked from EGS, @JaxonH ? That'd make it pretty definitely happening, at least! That probably won't address the 'floating' platforms that put you off, though, so it'd have to be a full remake for that
@BruceCM
I think just being modernized, with better graphics, controls, UI, etc could go a long ways toward making the game feel more enjoyable. Of course, I can't say that would be the case for certain, but I'd definitely buy it and give it a try.

I hope so, @JaxonH .... On the other hand, a simple remaster of the existing mobile version, which was how they did most of their FFs on Steam wouldn't take until next year, so perhaps they've got the idea people don't like paying for mobile ports on PC?
In that case, it at least might be remade completely but we'll have to see, I guess!
@Grumblevolcano
Pretty tame this time round compared to Mario's looming execution this time last year. Mario Kart DLC is a week away though so it's moreso everything above plus that to come.

In My Nintendo missions, has anyone ever found the Hidden Poochy Pups on the nintendo site? I'm HIGHLY skeptical of these poochy missions. There are three poochy pup missions in the Nintendo Services missions, toward the bottom of the page (it's a long page). https://my.nintendo.com/missions
@WoomyNNYes, I thought I did something like that a long time ago, and sure enough the missions are marked as complete for me, so I had to have done them.
I think they're in the Crafted World webpage.
