@Giancarlothomaz As much as I would like that to happen, the last time a perfect opportunity like that struck was 2020, the year infamous for the dreaded Direct drought between September 2019 and February 2021. Granted, Directs are thankfully back and better than ever (depending on your outlook) so it could still happen but I'm not holding my breath on this one.

@Magician Despite loving the first game, I couldn’t get into the second. Think I was expecting more to a sequel than what was offered at launch.

@Giancarlothomaz I'm praying it's some time in July as from mid-May to late June I have exams. But there's more chance of a new F-Zero game coming out this year than that happening.

@chapu2006 i think a summer Direct that replace the E3 Direct is more likely to happen in early june.

@Fizza 2020 was a weird year. Covid completely derailed time tables industry-wide, so I'm not surprised Nintendo wasn't jumping at the opportunity to do a big show that year.

Given the preload mistake, I think Advance Wars will release in May.

like even if you were to use this weird mistake to guess on its release, why would that mean they then just wait one month, no more no less?

@kkslider5552000 Given it's got a physical release, immediate release for everyone seems very unlikely and late April has Switch Sports. Meanwhile May's completely empty and June's insanely packed. If any later I'd imagine the mistake had no effect on release timing.

@Grumblevolcano damn, I had hoped you had inside info that the Russian-Ukraine war was ending and that was the reason you thought it was coming out in May.

@jump Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp will not release until the russian invasion on unkranie is over.

Hmm, well, they'll have to let us know soon if that's the case ..... Seems highly unlikely to me but I'd be happy for that to happen! @D

Not that I needed any previews or even reviews. You know exactly what you're getting. Wii Sports in HD without the awful Mii characters.

I just want to play Bowling and Golf. But the Chambara, Soccer and Badmitton also looks fun.

Ya. What you see is what you get.

It's Wii Sports, but with online, in full HD and without the corny Mii characters. That's all I wanted.

I just want to play bowling and golf. The fact Switch OLED can be propped up in tabletop mode with a nice 7" screen for bowling in the office, or golf in the office, is the dream realized. I'm definitely going head to head with some of my reports in the lab 😀

Badminton, chambara and soccer look like good fun too, though. Even tennis and volleyball will help provide variety, if nothing else.

@JaxonH why do you hate the Mii so much, they are snymom with the Wii series.

I just don't like their designs. They're too basic, ugly and don't provide an aesthetically pleasing result.

I appreciate them being iconic for the Wii era, but I have no desire to see them out stay their welcome any further beyond the years they already have. It's 2022. I just don't care for having Mii focused games anymore like it's 2006.

I personally still like Mii with its limited facial features as I like quirky Mii games like Tomodachi Life, Miitopia.

Miis worked well on the sub-HD Wii on CRT televisions. But in the HD era 15 years removed, they're grossly outdated. I never liked Microsoft's soul-less avatars, but I always wanted more of that style, just with more flair and character.

I actually really like the avatars in Switch Sports. They're a cross between the style exhibited in Splatoon, and the Animal Crossing artstyle (particularly the noses). Both of those games, coincidentally, coming from the same developer.

They nailed it with the Switch Sports avatars, imo. That's the style they should go with moving forward. Much more customization potential and, they just look better, I think.
