@JaxonH Yes, yes, absolutely YES. Paper Mario is probably my favourite game on the entire service. I have over 15 hours in it already and it's so much fun to time attacks/blocks, explore the locals and interact with the at times absolutely bonkers characters. It's just a really wholesome experience that I would wholeheartedly recommend to everyone who has the service.

With that said, considering Link and a few other characters are already in "Mario" Kart now, I feel like turning it into a Smash-esque celebration of Nintendo is overdue.
Imagine a track based on "Garden of Hope" from Pikmin.
A Paper Mario track (honestly surprised they haven't done this yet).
A Kid Icarus track with that fantastic theme tune and lots of floating ancient Greek style architecture.
Personally I'd like to see Fourside from Earthbound. Moonside could be an upside down anti-gravity section under the main city.
Of course they could even make a "Smash Bros." themed course with Master hand occasionally crushing racers.
I'm not sure which I'd prefer because I found it really cool how they turned Frontier Village into a Mario track (Wild Woods) but at the same time having it stay as a Xenoblade track with Shulk added to Mario Kart would've also been really cool.
I do think however the Mario side of things being expanded should be what comes first, MK8 Deluxe doesn't even have characters such as Birdo and Diddy Kong which previously appeared in Double Dash and Wii.
I'm sure Nintendo will keep the Mario Kart name even if they heavily expand the number of other franchises featured in it. And I do think Mario should always be the main focus; I like seeing more obscure Mario characters and locations show up, and there'd probably be less of those if it was a full-on Nintendo Kart.
@Grumblevolcano Is Wild Woods confirmed to be based on Frontier Village or is it just speculation?
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
@Grumblevolcano I kind of feel like Diddy Kong not being there is deliberate because they still have it somewhere in their Nintendo lizard brain that they might one day do "Diddy Kong Racing 2".
Rumour, only rumour ( rumour ) is that GAME BOY ADVANCE games are going to be added to NSO. I mean GBA might be better than N64 as they were released 4 years after the N64 and GBA was 32 bit. I mean I think GBA games are better than most of the games you can play in handheld mode on the switch. Also there are 1500 Game boy advance games. I really Hope it happens 🤞
@Dogorilla Speculation, I just feel it looks a lot like Frontier Village.
@kkslider5552000 The handheld line (GB/GBC/GBA/DS/3DS) are odd ones because of the remakes and remasters already on or coming to Switch. Combined with Nintendo mostly ignoring the GC, Wii getting HD remasters and Wii U getting ports, I could honestly see N64 and Genesis being the end of new consoles added with the Expansion Pack turning to a focus on DLC. So like we have Animal Crossing New Horizons and MK8 Deluxe DLC in it and then stuff like this is added:
Mario Party Superstars DLC
Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes Expansion Pass
Xenoblade 3 Expansion Pass
BotW 2 Expansion Pass
Splatoon 3 Single Player Expansion (think Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion)
@kkslider5552000 well GBA games are better than GAMEBOY games. like a million times better. I mean GB was 11 or 12 years older than GBA . I know GB games are brilliant but there not as good as GBA games.
@Ninfan
Not from all 1500 GBA games will be featured on NSO due to licensing issue for licensed brand game or Japanese only games.
You will not see Barbie games or K-1 games or Disney games, etc from GBA on NSO due to expired licensed contract and the games that will be featured on NSO are mostly 1st party games with very few 3rd party games that being played the most by majority Nintendo fans. Nintendo will never include the niche or unpopular games for their NSO. If you want to play All those 1500 GBA games, get GBA or NDS machine and GBA cartridges to play them.
I mean GBA might be better than N64 as they were released 4 years after the N64
Not necessarily. They're two very different systems compared to each other. The N64 primarily has games with 3D graphics, and the GBA is pretty much a slightly enhanced SNES in terms of its specs. It's why you'd see stuff like the Super Mario Advance remakes.

@Ninfan
Just look at GBA games that available on Wii U and 3DS Virtual console.
Nintendo only provided 1st party games and a few of 3rd party GBA games. NOT ALL 1500 GBA games.
Nintendo will not revive niche or unpopular or expired licensed brand games like Barbie or Petz or K-1, etc on Virtual console and NSO.
The only best way to play those unpopular GBA games by play them in actual GBA cartridge on GBA machines or NDS machines.
@Ninfan Not sure I'd truly agree with that, but to each their own.
Also, they never made any announcements regarding Game Boy/GBA games on Switch. The last time they announced more retro consoles for NSO, it was Nintendo 64 and Genesis for the expansion pack. You may like to know that the Mega Man Zero series is on the Switch (they originally came out on GBA), they're on Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection. There's the Castlevania GBA games as well, via Castlevania Advance Collection. Both are really solid compilations.
