Kirby demo is great. Unsurprisingly as a Kirby game it feels relatively relaxed and not too difficult, but it also has that classic Nintendo design feature of feeling rewarded for everything that you do. Very much feels like the "3D World" of Kirby that I was hoping for be expecting.
My one criticism would be Kirby's float - I understand why they limit this (they don't want it to be too overpowered), but it feels strange having him stop ascending at some arbitrary height regardless of how long he's been floating.

I think the canonical reason behind it is, since he got mangled up in the intro falling through the wormhole, he can't do it as effectively as before in exchange for the new mouthful mode he now possesses (or at least that's what I think).

been out of town all day earlier mostly to do some long overdue shopping at Barnes and Noble. But went to a Walmart store that was pretty packed and busy with shoppers. I found and bought Ni No Kuni II for Nintendo Switch. Was mostly looking for Pokemon Shield or Triangle Strategy.
the walmart store they also had the Star Wars games two in one stuff such as the Dark Forces sequels and the other one being the pod racing game with the clones Rebel Commado whatever its called
@WoomyNNYes I have that problem at walmart actually. So even when I try to take advantage of the physical discounts at wallyworld it is too much of a hassle. Especially since I try to get in and out of stores asap. And I stack the bestbuy 5 dollar coupons so it sorta all works out.
@BruceCM Posted in the TS thread so I won't text wall this one.
I enjoyed the kirby demo...at first I thought the copy powers had been really reduced but things like pressing rapidly froze the first boss so I realized there was more to this control style. The mouthful modes are powerful and useful but disturbing looking to me. I wish they had gone for a less detailed artstyle (textures not character models) as I would stop wondering about kirby slobbering over a rusty car if this was in more of an cel shaded/animated style. Not sure if I will get it day one...the next few months will be exceedingly busy for me. And I already have Triangle Strategy and Rune Factory this month.

I'm really excited for the Kirby game! I don't mind Kirby, but I wouldn't call myself a fan. I played the one GameBoy game constantly when I was a kid, but that was about it aside from Smash Brothers lol
The demo was just a fun, cute, collectathon-ish 3D platformer, which I'm all about, so bring it on.
As soon as I saw that I knew this game was something special. All of Rebellion's Sniper Elite and Zombie Army Switch ports are quality, but zombie great white sharks? Only a legendary game would dare go there 😀

Well just completed my custom joy cons. Well actually I still need to replace one stick but they are for the most part completed. Now my old scratched and chipped joy cons look like new. If you have an extra set of joycons I recommend it. It is really over exaggerated about how difficult the repair is. It just takes a while( 3 hours to do 2 joy cons)
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG

I think I can safely say Triangle Strategy is now tied with Fire Emblem for fave SRPG of all time, with the potential to surpass it if the 2nd half of the game follows through as well as the first half.
It's like, when a studio that's made several decent games suddenly nails it and just smashes it out of the park... that's Triangle Strategy.
My goodness. Chapter 6 was incredible! I'd played it in the first demo a year ago, but the events which unfolded hit soooo much harder with the benefit of context from the previous 5 chapters.

Yeah, that was definitely much better with the build up, @JaxonH .... But there'll certainly be some stuff happening in Chapter 7, with plenty of things to come after that, lol
You ever play a game where, you're so madly in love with it you have to suspend the game periodically and grapple with your emotions and how much you're enjoying it?
The first game that ever did that to me was Fire Emblem Awakening, Chapter 9. I remember closing the lid on the 3DS and just pondering the events that had taken place- I was so enthralled I actually didn't want to rush through it for fear of the game eventually ending.
It's a rare occurrence. But that's what's happening to me now with Triangle Strategy. It has all the hallmarks of a timeless classic. The insanely epic soundtrack, the memorable story, the top-shelf strategy gameplay... regardless of which angle I view the game from, I see a masterpiece. If Fire Emblem Awakening is an SRPG classic, then without question, so is this one.
Idk what else to say. I'm so in love with this game!

Yeah, definitely up among the best games, @JaxonH ... Will have to see whether it ends up being my favourite ever or not but it's certainly in the top few
Wulff Den's OLED burn test has finally reached conclusive results.
After 3,600 hours on the same exact screen 24/7 at full brightness, there are finally some signs of burn in. It's still not bad enough to make games unplayable and is mostly only visible when on a solid color screen like all white, but ya, it took 3,600 hrs on the same image at max brightness.
Given the fact I only clocked 600 hrs on Switch for all of 2021, and less than 800 hrs for all of 2020, and the fact I don't let one single image stay on the screen for 3,000 - 4,000 hrs, it would take 5 years before I even reached that much playtime, much less that much playtime with a single image. That could take 15 years, maybe 20, even 25 years.
And a new Switch will be out in 2 years, maybe 3 at most. So... ya. It's all good!

@JaxonH How on earth can you possibly leave it on the same screen without the system either going into sleep mode constantly or just keeling over for over 150 days? I'm happy burn in isn't going to be that much of an issue but I just can't understand how a test like this could even be performed?
