@alexwolf
You'll be fine. If you've played other games in the series, great, if not, you'll still really enjoy it. It's actually a really high quality Persona game more than it is Warriors.
There's a lot of ppl who will tell you no no, you gotta play other games first. I am not one of those ppl. Is it advantageous? Sure. Required? Absolutely not. You'll basically just start with a crew of friends, and you'll get to know them throughout the dialog. You'll get the gist of everything through context. It's a wonderful gateway game for fans new to the series on Switch.

@alexwolf It's not as good as the mainline JRPGs, IMO, and it has some story connections to the original game, but if it's this or nothing, better to start with this one, since the story itself is mostly its own thing.
Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (PC); Unicorn Overlord (NS)
Another little bonus of the OLED that I forgot about: double the on-board storage! Not much, but still a nice little surprise that helps with all those small eShop indies.
Something came to mind regarding Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. You know how games with real cars get delisted after a certain time due to car licensing like for example how Xbox doesn't have a Forza Motorsport game anymore due to all of them being delisted and the new one not being released yet, well Mario Kart 8 also has real cars (the 3 Mercedes ones).
For Mario Kart 8 (Wii U), the Mercedes cars are free DLC so Nintendo could just delist the free DLC and the Wii U version stays on the Wii U eshop though the cars were on the day 1 cart for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe so it may be that within the next few years Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be delisted from the Switch eshop.
@Grumblevolcano
You have a point there, I'm sure that Nintendo has secured a few years though. I reckon Mercedes must be jealous at how many copies of the game have sold, imagine a 7 year old car topping the charts with no extra development!
They're not gonna delist Mario Kart. The most they'd do is release a patch that removes that content from the game.

"We'd love to hear from you!" clicks link from survey "This survey has reaches its quota and responses are no longer being solicited" It's been four hours. pfft what
"We have no interest in opinions from the only checking e-mail once a day crowd!"
@Grumblevolcano In all seriousness, since Mercedes presumably paid Nintendo to put the car in the game rather than the other way around, there shouldn't be an expiration date, right?
Been waiting on this. Now we'll have all the best AC games pre-reboot on Switch. And, even though I'm a digital kind of guy now, I can appreciate that of the 3 Assassin's Creed collections on Switch, each of them puts the main numbered entries on cart- AC2, AC3 and AC4.
It apparently also comes with 2 high quality videos. I love the extra content in the Switch versions of these games. Rebel Collection had all kinds of extra stuff- art pictures, videos, etc.
I wish Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City would come to Switch, but WB seems like a lame duck when it comes to porting back catalog to Switch. Still, having all the best AC games on the hybrid OLED is a massive win.

@gcunit I'm terrified of my emails, I use to check them constantly but I was betrayed so many times I changed the password on my account so I'd never seen them again.
I helped a Nigerian prince once who emailed me about a big investment deal but he never paid me back. I met the love of my life who was a huge bewb blonde from Sweden after she sent me an email about how horny she was so I sent her the money for a plane tix but she never showed up at the airport. I won the Canadian lottery after sending them my matching National Insurance, date of birth and mother's maiden name but I never become a millionaire. HRMC was supposed to send me a tax refund but I never got it despte sending them my bank details three times by email.
Shockingly, I've had very similar emails over the years, @jump ..... I particularly like emails from banks about accounts I didn't even know I had, lol
I've played about an hour of Alba: A Wildlife Adventure. Talk about a lowkey, super-charming little adventure game. Just waltzing around this tropical island snapping photos of the local wildlife. A nice little story about the nature preservation.
It's cozy.
I'd put this up there with Donut County as one of those top-tier mobile games that's worth your time.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,260 games (as of June 15th, 2024)
