@Anti-Matter
I've never had that issue so I'm not sure if I'll be of much help. Sounds like the fan may be going out, either needs to be cleaned or replaced. But if a repair shop looked at it and couldn't fix it, it may be to start saving up for a replacement.
There is this video. Maybe take a look.

@JaxonH OK, I figured it was some sort of catch like that, since, short of some sort of Steam Big Picture mode customization wizardry, I didn't see how that would be workable. Oh well.

I loved Yoshi's Wooly World. It was so much better than Crafted World. I do hope it gets ported.
But DKC Returns is my second favorite 2D platformer of all time, just behind Tropical Freeze. I've beaten the game 3 times (also just finished Tropical Freeze for the 3rd time yesterday). It's a game I would love to have on Switch. It's so good.

@NintendoByNature
It's good. But it's difficult. You're gonna die... a lot.
Ultimately though, it's a really fun game. I just wish it had an easier difficulty mode. I managed, but some sections would take me 4 or 5 tries, each time having to retread the same path of enemies, which got a bit tiresome. Same reason I can't get into Souls games.
Even so, it's a great game.

@JaxonH alright, I'll give it a good shot. I don't mind somewhat difficult games. I'm just really hoping it's not 30 tries difficult like souls games. At least at $15 it's worth taking a shot at.
So Wrestling Empire went into the sale and OMG it’s so ***** good! It is obviously extremely niche, but if you have fond memories of playing wrestling games in the early 2000s, then this is for you. It is slightly clunky with some slightly odd controls that take a while to get used to and it is a little unpolished all around. The faces are stuff of nightmares and people will regularly clip into objects. And while that shouldn’t be excused, it is all part of the charm and the nostalgia.
One thing that is a bit different is how much the game loves throwing loads of wrestlers into the ring and having constant interferences. It probably sounds annoying, but it is pretty ***** hilarious how chaotic every match becomes.
One fairly odd thing is that there is no create a wrestler, you have to edit yourself over an existing wrestler if you want to be able to add yourself into the campaign mode, but the actual creation tools when it comes to overwriting are actually pretty extensive. Both great for creating your own abominations or for fine tuning the wrestlers to make them as much like their real life counterparts as you can.
That aside, the campaign mode is really terrific. It doesn’t feel as fully formed as say some of those early 00s WWE games where you basically got a proper RPG in the campaign mode, but either through AI learning or just pure RNG, the game has been pretty much a rollercoaster from the start. I feel so addicted already.
Found the perfect wireless GameCube controller that’s an alternative to the Wavebird… the Retro Fighters Wireless GameCube Controller.
It doesn’t release until April 25th, 2022 but it’s actually detected as a GC controller with analog triggers and an RF receiver. It’ll work on GameCube, Switch and PC.

I am in such an awkward place with Kirby & the Forgotten Land right now. I absolutely adore Kirby, Super Star and Triple Deluxe are some of my favourite games on their respective systems and it's always really fun to play through them, along with the fact that it's BLOODY THREE DIMENSIONS. On the other hand however, we haven't seen ANYTHING past the first trailer when the game's supposed to come out in 4-5 months max and it seems to be sandwiched for me between Legends Arceus, Animal Crossing AND Great Ace Attorney makes me wonder if I'll even bring myself to get it since, knowing Nintendo, they'll be charging the full SITTY DOLLA BILLS for it at launch (I really hope someone gets that reference).

Nintendo only talks about one game at a time. Right now that's Pokémon Legends Arceus, which has gotten several videos and Twitter info dumps. After that, I'll likely be Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. And then, come April, they'll probably start talking about Kirby, for a late May or early June release.

@JaxonH Still, that would be shockingly close to the release window, especially since this is a brand new style of gameplay for Kirby. You'd think they'd want to be like "Kirby can go here! Kirby can do this! Kirby has a gun!". OK, that last one may be a stretch but you get my point. Then again, they might just have a whole segment to him in the next Direct similar to what happened to Star Allies before it released and everything I have said up until now will be invalidated. I wouldn't mind it personally.

The Brook SE adapter adds gyro to the Series X controller with zero perceptible lag. It feels as natural as a Switch Pro controller...
This is a gaming miracle! The Xbox controller is no longer handicapped by lack of gyro. Why nobody spoke of this thing earlier is beyond me. But I'm digging in deep and finding all the hidden gem gadgets and gizmos for gaming.

I remember people talking about this when the DLC first launched, but woof, the Octo Expansion has some challenging stages. It's a good kind of challenge, though - my OLED is in the mail anyway, so if I launch my OG Switch across the room it'll be fine lol
@rallydefault Not really, Splatoon 2 doesn't have cloud saves so if your Switch dies you lose all your progress (same with Pokemon and some other games).
