A moment to appreciate this marvelous Portal 2 Companion Collection (Switch) trailer released by Valve.
With Steam Deck having just released, and this being (imo) their two best 1st party game they’ve ever made, I think Valve deserves a salute
And let’s not forget the original teaser trailers for these masterpieces
Portal Original Teased (actually uses beta footage)

Portal is a fantastic game, but Portal 2 is really a masterpiece. Makes me sad thinking how amazing HL3 or Episode 3 could've been.. oh well, maybe some day.
With Half Life Alyx, and now this demo software, “Aperture Desk Job” launching for SteamDeck, I think it’s they’re getting back into games. At least, I hope.

Since we'll get Xenoblade Chronicles 3 during September and gen 9 Pokemon later this year, do you think that Breath of the Wild 2 will still come in 2022?
@Primo40295 No, I think we'll get either the Zelda Wii U ports or Oracle remakes this summer (July/August) instead and BotW 2 ends up being March 2023.
Check out the detail of the textures on the shorts and backpack.
Gamefreak is genuinely trying to improve the graphical fidelity of their Pokemon games.
And, while compared to other games you could still say it's lacking, I think this is a respectable improvement over Arceus Legends and Sword/Shield, which was already a respectable improvement over the 3DS era games.
I think it looks pretty good, actually! No doubt ppl will tear it apart as usual though.
Here's some more screenshots capped from the video
I think it's safe to say, this is it. This is the one. This is the console Pokemon game I've been envisioning for so many years. Thinking about, "what if they released Pokemon on a home console with console graphics and console scope and scale".
It happened gradually with Sword/Shield and then Arceus, so at first it didn't strike me as being the game I've always envisioned. But taking a step back, I see it now. We're there.
@Primo40295 no, since Pokémon Scarlet e Pokémon Violet is gonna be the holiday games for Switch this year, Nintendo is gonna delay Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 to 2023.

You would have to kinda expect something to give, right? Even if all of the games were ready for their scheduled release date, unless their next like five years are already planned to be stacked to the absolute eyeballs, it makes zero sense to me to have loads of massive releases back to back, giving them absolutely zero breathing room whatsoever.
I mean we've seen the industry do a very similar thing this month and we'll have to see the ramifications of that, but here it just seems to make even less sense because Nintendo seem to be sort of just making competition for themselves?
@JaxonH the screen shots do look good. But I have to say, while I was watching the trailer, I felt like the game looked fairly sub par. Wierd I guess.
It looked like it was stuttering and it could be my eyes playing tricks on me but I thought I saw some pop in with the clouds. And I'm certainly no graphics snob.
@JaxonH Agreed, i wont be able to keep up with all this! Its great! For me there is also 13 sentinels aegis rim in april, chrono cross and maybe the front mission games

Legends looked the same way at its reveal with the "stutter" but when it released it was a very solid 30fps. I have no doubt this game will follow suit.
Pop-in, sure, it's probably gonna have some. But I'm not expecting perfection here. It's a Switch game, after all.

They're explicitly calling this an open world game.
Usually I'd be pessimistic, but PLA was pretty good. Hope you can still just catch pokemon in the environments and/or battle them without transitioning away to a separate screen. The lack of a battle screen transition really helps maintain the illusion of the game taking place in a single, connected world.
"With these new titles, the Pokémon series takes a new evolutionary step, allowing you to explore freely in a richly expressed open world."
"Various towns blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no borders. You’ll be able to see the Pokémon of this region in the skies, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets—all over! You’ll be able to experience the true joy of the Pokémon series—battling against wild Pokémon in order to catch them—now in an open-world game that players of any age can enjoy."
