I seriously doubt Portal Companion Collection will get a physical release. Valve is a digital PC platform. They may have released physical back in the day for consoles but that was before digital took over on consoles also. Especially at a $20 price point.
I don't care. I just want the games on Switch.

@Anti-Matter Valve stopped releasing games on console after the PS3/360 era, the Portal collection on Switch is the first release on a console since 2012 which means a lot. Perhaps more older games come like the Half-Life and Left 4 Dead games for Switch or Half-Life Alyx for PSVR2. Maybe even Half-Life 3 becomes a real thing and releases before Mario Kart 9.
@CactusMan
How would it have been Deck exclusive if it's already on PS3 and 360, and currently playable on Series S/X via Back Compat? Not to mention, playable on any other PC as well.
I imagine they're releasing it on Switch specifically to promote the Steamdeck. Same reason Xbox puts some games like Ori on Switch. They see a massive market that has overlap, and wants to entice them by showing them a sample of the amazing games on offer.
There could be a few reasons. I'd like to hope it's because they are starting to take up game making again and doing a port to another system which isn't a rival (publicly anyway) is just them stretching before they get to work on a brand new game. If they are serious about Steamdeck then a few exclusives like new Team Fortress, Portal and Half Life and Counter-Strike would make people consider it.
Valve during the 00s were bloody amazing and run as good as anyone else's so I'm ignoring all other speculation as I want it too much to happen.
Here's some interesting info about the MK8 Deluxe DLC from the eshop:
"Even if you haven't purchased the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass or a NSO + Expansion Pack membership, you can still try out the courses if you play with friends who have access to the Booster Course Pass.
Additionally, starting on 22/03/2022, courses included in the Booster Course Pass will appear in the Random selection when playing Global or Regional races with anyone online."
Not sure whether by Random it means specifically the Random option or whether it also includes the 3 specific courses you can vote for each race (as those are randomly selected) but it seems the DLC will appear in matchmaking even if you don't own it.
@Grumblevolcano That's great then for big groups of friends. Since only one person needs to have the DLC, you could just have that person make the lobby and everyone can play the DLC online together. I wonder if the any-track selection would also have them then?

@DarthNocturnal Before I got both Fighter's Pass', it was very annoying to get a really sick replay, try to go save it as a video, only for it to not work because it was with a DLC character/stage that I didn't own yet. I remember this happened once because a DLC SONG was playing (Spiral Mountain on Battlefield I believe) as well which, as you can imagine, was very frustrating.

@Tay205 Reagarding your battery percentage not displaying correctly. That has been a known issue, like JaxonH mentioned. Here's nintendo's troubleshooting page for the issue. It may require a few charge cycles to resovle it. Hopefully it works for you. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a...
@Tay205 Sorry about this double post. If anyone gives you toxic guff, like I saw earlier, don't be afraid to use that Ignore button or the Block feature.
@DarthNocturnal@JaxonH You know the modern call of duty games give maps and new weapons to every player for free, right? By seasons with updates. They sell cosmetics skins on their battle passes, not maps like back then.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
@Tay205 He was a little ineleant there😁, but there is a nintendolife community rule against discussing hacking/modding current gen consoles. I think it's for legal reasons, and nintendolife wants to keep a good releationship with Nintendo.
Trying to repair simple-ish stuff like, replace battery, replace fan, fix a joycon or pro controller, that seems to be ok.
@JaxonH All the COD games before Modern Warfare (2019) have awful season passes. The ones after Modern Warfare 2019, they're all going to receive free maps. Only cosmetic skins will be paid. So as of right now, MW19, Cold War, and the new one Vanguard all have free DLC maps & weapons.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
