@jump You know they are going to go down the route of 'Beach-wear' Disney Princesses at some point. It's too bloody obvious.

@Fizza I wouldn't have thought so as it's Disney and Pixar, not Underage Anime Tentacle Boob Force.

They have a wealth of characters that could get to a silly amount of racers before even the need of alternative skins and arevaware of the risks of sexualizing their characters. There was outrage when the Brave princess wore a sparkly dress once let alone having them in hot springs type silliness.

Well they were complaining there was still no Persona port. ;p

@Fizza There's a link below to the story. They have a fair point, the character is fighting having to be a pretty princess so making her a pretty princess is going against the nature of the character.

@jump Ooooooh, I understand now, gotcha. Yeah, that probably wouldn't work now in Speedstorm when you put it like that, Disney is trying it's damndest to cling on to it's perfect image and that kind of stuff probably wouldn't do them any favours. My predictions for DLC characters then would probably be ones like Baymax, Penelope and Buzz. Oh and Sora because that would be amazing. Plus, he's Disney owned, not solely Squenix.

Yeah, that sucks for fans of that series (which I am not). The absence of the Persona series on Switch seems to reinforce the idea that Playstation has exclusivity for the numbered Persona games. Sure we get spinoffs of Strikers and Ultimax, but P4 and P5? Probably isolated on Sony platforms, even though there's no documentation to confirm that's the case.

Sony money hats everything they can get their hands on. And I don't doubt Persona 5 had an agreement.

But Persona 4 I do think will come to Switch. Atlus is making 7 Persona announcements and one of those will probably be Persona 4 Golden on Switch/PS4.

Call of Duty is coming to Switch!

Microsoft says they not only plan to keep CoD on PS beyond the agreement timeframe, they want to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo Switch.

@Fizza I don't even think it's even about the need to protect their image, Disney have a depth of characters that can get to 300-500 racers and still have people going WOW at the new ones added without the need to put a hat on Mickey.

Encanto was their 60th animated film and Pixar have something like 25ish, so take the protagonist from each one that's already 85. Add in the villains, sidekicks and stronger supporting characters you are looking at 255 (3 character per film time 85 films) and then remember Mickey and the gang are not from the feature films so add them in too plus their live actions movies like Pirates Of The Caribbean and tv shows like Gargoyles you have even more. Then you get to their subsidiaries like Lucasfilm and Marvel who have tons more characters if they really need to. Then there is still the new Disney and Pixar films which are about 2-3 every year which are going to come out too.

I'm not overly fussed by the mega sale now that I can view it.

Looking at my wish list the most tempting is The Flame In The Flood for £3 and then there's Crash Bandicoot, Puyo Puyo Tetris, The Witcher 3, Serious Sam, Mutant Year Zero, Everspace and Tony Hawk at 30-60% off, good games with good discounts but still have not become impulse buys for me at those prices.

@JaxonH Probably little more than pretty-talk by MS considering the FTC are combing over the AB acquisition. It'll be about a year before the deal is finalized, if...it's finalized.

A more accurate statement would've been "we'd like to bring Call of Duty to future Nintendo platforms" rather than the Switch specifically, as I doubt the current Switch would ever get a CoD. Even if all the stars aligned for it to happen.

@jump i just realized this could mean Eliza Maza (my Disney Princess growing up-I don’t care what anyone says) and Goliath could be driving Karts. Ok you have sparked my interest.

@Magician That's my take as well. I don't think they'd have been so slippery with their wording if they intended to keep these franchises multi-plat in any major sense.

I'm 99% confident the deal will go through, and while this is likely to make that go smoother, I don't think it's just talk. I think MS genuinely has plans to put CoD on Switch, just as they said.

@Ryu_Niiyama I was a Gargoyles fan as a kid too If Greg Weisman wasn't at Warner Bros making (the excellent) Young Justice I reckon Disney would have had a sequel as an Disney+ exclusive like they did with the X-Men and Star Wars cartoons.

I can see this game really taking off once they get past the typical favourites likes Winnie The Pooh or Mickey Mouse. As it's gonna be the cult fan favourites like Nightmare Before Christmas, Gravity Falls and Gargoyles who will become the "chase" racers which will have folk been spending hours/loads of cash trying to unlock them.

So, there's a Twitter user that leaked everything in the direct a couple days before and they were 100% accurate. They also mentioned a few things coming later. Still take with a grain of salt, but seems legit.

Remember when the Wii U DLC released for MK8 and the course select screen had placeholder icons while you waited for the DLC to release. The same may happen here for the MK8 Deluxe DLC.

As for those predictions, they're pretty obvious, no? Like, EVERYONE'S talked about rumours of a new FE, Goldeneye coming to Switch and ports of WW and TP HD, I don't think it would be that mind-blowing to see them announced.

@Fizza If you check their Twitter they've mentioned a few things besides those 3 games. They do seem like obvious picks but I'd still be pretty stoked if we finally get WW + TP HD ported over.

Hey guys! I've never played mario strikers before and i'm wondering if it would be fun game for me considering I have no friends that play such games and also don't know anyone who has a switch (this is not a popular platform here in Poland). My point is, is it worth it to get it knowing that i would mostly play alone?? Thanks!
