It's not a big deal or anything, but apparently they did find some content that was cut from the western versions of the Famicom Detective Club remakes (specifically in the Girl Who Stands Behind).
Not a huge loss, just some jokes revolving using the "examine" function multiple times on certain female characters, one of which seems in particularly bad taste, which you'll know when you see it (some dialogue toned down or removed, and one optional scene removed).

I can understand why they did it but it’s disappointing nonetheless. Some people would find the sexual harassment part offensive in the US, or it would make them uncomfortable.
I’d rather there be parity between versions though.
@TheJGG I don’t really think it’s an East vs West thing, it’s just Ninty being overly concerned about such things rather than it will cause offence. Like a few days ago someone posted in this thread a game which uses the name of a famous sex predator but no one batted an eyelid and it turned into a conversation about his movies and what a good idea it was to do it.
As for what was “censored” it is not something I remotely care about but I’m happy it gives people something to moan about.
Yeah, it's definitely not a big deal, and I haven't really heard anyone complaining about it (at least the video seems pretty neutral, though admittedly I haven't read the comment section).
The only disappointing aspect of it is that since the Japanese release is technically a different version of the game (instead of a straight up translation with no other differences) I'm guessing that's why it doesn't have an English language option and thus the Japan only physical release isn't import friendly.

I'll be honest, if anyone here was genuinely mad about that change, I was gonna put them on ignore by default. Largely because I can't possibly deal with having to go back to that debate in 2021. I'd genuinely prefer death.
@rallydefault only in-store unfortunately. This stinks if they're out and let's say you wanted to go to BB for a copy of a game, BB would only price match based on what's on the website.
Doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. Wouldn’t have even known if somebody didn’t point it out.
Having said that, I find those getting upset because of the change (if there are any? I haven’t seen anyone) to be no more absurd than the people who would have gotten upset if it wasn’t changed.
1 more day until it all starts with Summer Game Fest. Glad that it's being streamed on Nintendo Life, a lot better with the Nintendo Life comments section.
@RR529 I mean, usually I'm anticensorship, but being forced to act like a pedo in a game in a mandatory scene isn't my idea of a fun time. So it sounds like an improvement to me lol
With Famicom Detective Club now released I assume the developer, Mages, will get back to work on Steins;Gate 0 Elite and its sequel? I recently began Robotics;Notes Elite. Here, a little over five hours in, and it's pretty good as well. It makes me hope Chaos;Head and Chaos;Child get Switch ports eventually.
Would be nice to have the entire mainline Science Adventure series on Switch.
I hope we get a Ninja Gaiden Master Collection review soon. I really want to pick it up for Switch, but I know that (even though it shouldn't be a problem) sometimes devs have had a hard time optimizing PS360 era games on the system.

@RR529 Aren't they based on the Sigma versions that everyone hates (for some reason, I know nothing on the matter) anyways? I doubt it'll get good reviews.
@link3710, @Slowdive, as far as I know the dislike for the Sigma versions largely stems from the fact that they're easier than the original releases & also removed enemy dismemberment. Now, they did add better/redesigned graphics (which I think may be another subjective point of criticism for some), as well as new playable characters and costumes, but I don't think many fans of the originals found those to be worthwhile tradeoffs.
I don't think they're considered bad games in isolation, and I believe they said something about the collection having a wider variety of difficulty options to choose from, so you should be able to play on a difficulty more comparable to the originals if you wish (or stick with the easier options). Not sure about the dismemberment though.
