There's a massive reservoir of older games that could be brought to Switch.
Whether the publishers of said games decide they're worth the trouble of porting over is another issue entirely.
It's unfortunate Bandai-Namco has been so hesitant on this front. We could've had stuff like the .hack G.U. trilogy, tons of Tales of... games, and so on if they really wanted to plumb their back-catalogue.
Currently Playing: The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy (PC)
I'm not waiting for Donkey Kong games, Metroid games, Zelda games from any Direct or upcoming trailer.
I'm waiting for another casual 3rd party games on Nintendo machines from the Direct.
@Magician Yeah that'd be great! I wonder if there is gonna be a 2D Metroid, it would be either a remake of Metroid Fusion or a totally original one. In terms of upcoming first-party Switch games, it's looking rather barren throughout the year. Yeah, there's Skyward Sword HD and Mario Golf, but I kinda want more than that.

Favorite games: Super Mario 3D World, Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Playing: Super Mario Galaxy 2
Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️

I'm so needy to have anything Metroid related on Switch that I'd even take a port of Other M at this point. Nintendo's continued insistence on holding and not release MP Trilogy until MP4 is close to being ready feels like corporal punishment with each passing Direct where it isn't officially announced. And it's beginning to sting a bit.

I'm waiting for Shovelware games and kiddie babyish games. Games like race with Ryan, hello kitty and Barbie games
@Magician Well they haven't even announced MPT for the Switch, but yeah that would be cool to have. They could just upscale the graphics, like in SM3DAS, and call it a day.

@MarioLover92 problaby a sequel to Metroid Fusion, it would be quite wrong if Nintendo release two remake of Metroid, istead of a original 2D Metroid game, this 2D Metroid game, must be the game Mercury Steam is developing since 2017, Nintendo is problaby saving a potencial HD version of Metroid Prime Trilogy when Metroid Prime 4 is close to conpletion, like supose Metroid Prime 4 release in 2022/2023, so Nintendo release a potencial HD version of Metroid Prime Trilogy 6 months/1 year for the release of Metroid Prime 4.
@Giancarlothomaz Yeah that sounds plausible, they could have Metroid Prime Trilogy planned that way behind the scenes. We have no clue what Nintendo's up to, of course...they like to be secretive when it comes to future game releases, before their inevitable direct videos. I would prefer an original 2D Metroid as well. Though I enjoyed Zero Mission and Samus Returns, I feel that Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion are still great in their original releases.

@Magician i don't believe Mercury Steam took so long to port this game for this consoles, E3 2021 or in the septembre Direct we gonna know, if Mercury Steam is developing a brand new 2D Metroid game.
I'm not paying $35 for a game that goes as cheap as this does in sales, but I thought the LRG cover for this one was particularly snazzy. The art from the original Castlevania cartridge still looks AMAZING.
@Northwind Pokemon S/S and LGPE as the best Nintendo-published games on Switch is certainly a hot take.
@Northwind That tier list 😠😠😠 ..(reports Northwind.)
I'm kidding<3 And, there's no Mario Odyssey in your list because no tier goes low enough for that dumpster fire.😁
edit: I'm kinda tempted to ask if the site would be interested in adding a tier list sort/filter to the game's page of our profiles. It makes it easier to digest someone's favorites. Oh, they already have a sort by user score function. Nevermind.
(if anyone can't tell, Northwind is ok with me, and am just being silly.)
@Northwind You'll have to update us, if you ever discover that one of the haven't-played games becomes a favorite.
I really had no plan to buy Mario Odyseey, but loved it. Granted, I had liked some platformers in the past. I don't expect it to convert you, though, if you've never been able to get into platformers.
@Northwind
Pokemon Switch games as your Top rank ?
Meanwhile for me, Yokai Watch 3DS games >> Pokemon games.
Currently i have hype with Yokai Watch 3 Tempura (Yeah, i played the Japanese version).
@Northwind It's easily the best of the sandbox Mario games, but people are far less easy to impress now than they were in the 90's and 00's.
The biggest change with Odyssey is that it's more explicitly a collect-a-thon platformer, and the conceit of completing singular, short missions in the levels is abandoned (wisely, I think).
