@WoomyNNYes I got it on game pass and I enjoyed what I've played and that is considering that I am absolutely not its target audience, (I don't find malicious humor...humorous) but it got a giggle or two out of me. I did find it amusing that Cloud Nirvana is Seattle.

Anyway it has a very cute artstyle with quite a few different objectives especially considering all you do is...rain. For instance, you can suck up oil to make a path to start a fire or toxic waste to corrode a car in addition to the normal rain function. The jokes aren't too malicious (like I said not my cup of tea) but they like to break the 4th wall a bit. There is a microtransaction joke or a MGS inspired level for instance. This is the kind of game that you know is made by people that love games. No technical issues, but the world and movement feel weighty with no weirdness happening with the game physics that I have seen (only 6 levels in). Simple but decently varied OST as well. I don't know if I will get this full price on switch (depends on the length) but I will buy it at some point.

With an E3 digital event officially happening, I imagine the video game news cycle will be slower than usual for the next couple months. Even though this first half of 2021 has already been moving in slow motion as far as new game announcements are concerned.

Tbh, this is the first year I can recall where I legitimately don't even care about e3, and haven't even been paying attention.

I'm just so totally absorbed into Monster Hunter Rise, nothing else matters to me right now. Nothing else interests me right now.

I hear "e3" as I'm playing on my Switch Lite, and without even looking up or lifting my eyes, I just mutter, "oh that's nice"... "mmm hmm"... "what were you saying again?"

I am looking forward to E3 but more in a “ok black Friday” purchase list sort of way.

I may have a dev project inbound that may net me some extra cash.

Since I don’t have the twins yet, I will use this year to max out the switch and my retro systems.

Hey, sorry to break this up, but has anyone ever had any issues in connecting their Switch up to a 4K TV set? I am having some sort of HDMI sync issue where there are random lines in the picture and the image and sound randomly go out. I have a rev A switch, and my TV set is a Samsung NU6950.

Is Mario kart 8 deluxe running very slow online ?

@Ninfan Just like with the other Mario Kart games, the online for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe works perfectly, no lag or anything. It's one of the better-running Nintendo games when it comes to online.

I'll always be excited for E3. It's just plain ol' fun to have a couple days of gaming content to watch.

Precisely my view.

@MarioLover92 I bought Mario kart 8 deluxe and it seems a little bit slow. I know Mario kart 7 is really slow because someone backed it ( or maybe nintendo fixed that one )

How fast do you want ?
1 second ?

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

@Ninfan Huh...it seems fast to me. A lot of online races tend to be at 150cc and I think 100cc. There's a small chance of 200cc races too. Are you playing at 50cc? That's as slow as the game is gonna get and I don't recall 50cc in worldwide races.

@JaxonH Well that hasn't worked on me! Square Enix' statement that they have numerous titles lined up for E3 has made me very excited to go and watch it. That, coupled with the fact that Nintendo, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Take Two, Capcom, [F*C]Konami, are participating means there'll be at least a small handful of positive surprises.

@Ryu_Niiyama A win-win for me would be a game that goes on sale as soon as E3 ends. Of course that won't happen... ever... but I can dream. At least Sony's not there, because any game announcements they'll make will eat into my wallet like... a worm eats an apple.

I've mentioned in the past that I'll withhold from buying games until after E3, but things like sales may change my mind.

I'm excited for E3 but also intrigued to what extent the pre-2020 consoles are being supported in the future. Stuff like whether the gigantic mess known as Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4/XB1 has led to a shorter crossgen period for gaming as a whole.

E3 always bugged me, it's too industry insider rather than for the gamer and is overly saturated so it's main purpose of connecting new games to gamers is lost in the frenzy of info.

I think they need to change up the format, maybe have these companies compete for people's attention by doing it in a Thunderdome and to the death.

@Grumblevolcano

Oh I'd imagine a majority of new games will continue to be cross-gen until late 2023. It's difficult for any publisher with a multiplatform game to just disregard 170 million potential customers (120m PS4s, roughly 50m Xbones) to focus on the PS5 and XSX that have sold less than a combined 20m thus far. You'll get the occasional third party exclusive like Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade and Final Fantasy XVI, but there will be very few of them.

Makes me wonder how much Sony had to pay for that exclusivity?

Yikes.
