It took EA a few years, but they’re finally getting on board. Took Activision a few years, but they’re finally getting on board. Took Take-Two a few years, but they’re finally getting on board. Took Capcom a few years, but they’re finally getting on board.
Always loving your work man, you know that, but perhaps next time you could do all of us a favour and just make that one sentence that begins "Took EA, Activision, Take-Two and Capcom a few years..."

Nintendo still don't have Rhythm games as hardcore as BEMANI games from Konami.
DDR Mario Mix on Gamecube was too weak to compare with DDR on Arcade.
I would like to see Arcade style Rhythm game by Nintendo with musics as strong as Beatmania IIDX / Gitadora / DDR / Pop'n Music.
Hoping for a full on gen 4 remake and not another lets go game. A new trailer for pokemon snap will probably be there and that rumoured pokemon collection would be great, especially if it releases a few weeks after the presentation like nintendo did with 3D all stars. But this gamefreak so none of this will probably happen lol.
Samurai Warriors 5 is targeting July release in the west.

Hopefully Caligula Effect 2's combat is more...up to date. The one thing that annoyed me about CE 1 was how attacks targeting enemies that had already perished wouldn't automatically rotate to the next available enemy. I haven't seen that in an rpg since the first Final Fantasy. It's an embarrassing oversight in game design.

@Magician Good to know; I haven’t picked up the first one yet even though I am interested in it. I bought 75 games last year so I didn’t (still don’t) have the bandwidth for anything new lol.
I’ll get them both this year sometime.

could Grezzo release a remake of Oracle of Age and Season or a remaster of Ocarina of Time/Majora Mask to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the franchise?(this could happen or not).
After their port of Super Mario 64 to Switch, I imagine Nintendo ERD would handle any possible port of OoT and MM to Switch. Even though Grezzo handled the 3DS ports of those games. I believe Grezzo is busy with something else now that Miitopia is at the finish line.

@gcunit
It would have lessened the impact of the statement. The art of wordy, melodramatic oratory declarations is a finely cultivated skill, my friend. It's all in the structural delivery 😀

@JaxonH I don't dispute its brilliance for one moment old chap, but in the time it took me to read through it I could have completed Xenoblade Chronicles 1& 2 twice over, and I do have backlog to contend with, mon ami 😋

Remember in 2018 when other Nintendo games tried to be like Splatoon with free content updates, but none of them were Splatoon so they largely didn't work out? And then Mario Party came out, did no updates despite everyone wanting them, and it still quietly outsold most other Nintendo games anyway?
That was weird. I always assumed they needed some games for their 2nd year at certain times and so they didn't delay them and did that instead. This is a very light complaint (more just an observation that amuses me) since those games were still generally good, because I just remembered Anthem again and I immediately go from "eh, that didn't work out like it maybe should have" to "Wow by comparison, great job on your content update strategy Nintendo!"
After having such a great time with Sword, I'd love to play through another traditional Pokemon game. I really haven't played fully through any other Pokemon games than Red and Blue, so almost anything they could decide to remake would be a win for me lol
The Sanrio Animal Crossing amiibo cards have functionality in New Horizons following an update on March 18th. Could be part of a larger update given how close it is to the 1 year anniversary.
After last week's Nintendo Direct getting so much hatred, looks like its Sony's turn after their State of Play. It's almost like people have way too high expectations and there's been a pandemic that has caused a lot of development problems. Guess news on the shutting down of Japan Studio internal development doesn't help.

Apparently Ghosts in Goblins for that Capcom Arcade thing quits being free today. Might wanna jump on that if you haven't already.
@FragRed High expectations? Maybe. But in the case of the SoP, they had almost nothing new worth showing off.
I think most people understand covid messed up the industry, but if you have nothing to show off, don't announce a livestream to rub it in. The few bits of news in that SoP could have been twitter posts.
Nintendo made the right call last year by temporarily canning Directs.
@Anti-Matter Yep. They weren't making cinematic action game blockbusters like almost every other Sony studio, so their games underperformed and now they're a shell of their former self, with the big names associated with it going off to do other stuff.
Cue 5x more "we love Japan and they're important to us" statements from Sony as they resort to money-hatting big releases from Square, Capcom, etc. to hide the damage on the Japanese game front. They'd be in real trouble if there was a relevant competitor in the region that was on the same level of power with their hardware (Microsoft has tried, so much, tried to get Japanese audiences interested in their devices, and it just never works, lol).
At least Nintendo Directs have enough announcements enough of the time to make sense. All the ones trying to rip them off have almost always been underwhelming. They have neither the charm nor the announcements to justify making an event out of anything. A shame for Sony in particular since enough of the games they show are at least interesting.
