@pilot stock up on food and head in. I went in with the master sword and no real special armor last play through. Fyi im sure tons of people will give you awesome feedback in the botw thread. Not that they won't here, but you'll get tons of advice in that thread.
I'm back with another question... My little brother has a switch, and wants some of the games that I have, so I was wondering if it's possible for me to put my account onto his switch and for him to download the games. Is that possible? They'res gotta be some catches to it because I'm sure nintendo wouldn't want people to put their accounts on different switches so anyone could play those games. They wouldn't make that much money that way... Also any links to videos and articles about this would be great
@pilot You actually can share your digital games AND have him still play the games on his account. It's super simple. Make sure both of your Nintendo accounts are on both of your Switches. Go into the eshop on your Switch and de-register it as your primary console, and then log into your account on his Switch, and it should automatically make his Switch your "primary." What this does it allow him to play your digital games with his account. Make sure he does the same process so that your Switch becomes his "primary" console.
Seems too good to be true, but it totally works. You guys can even play the same game at the same time on different accounts. The only 'catch' is that, when you want to play your digital games, it'll do an online check for a second or two before launching the software. That's it.
I tried to find an instructive video per your request, and this lady seems like she's on the right track:
Currently Playing: Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition
So SMTII is coming to NSO in Japan, honestly with so much of the SMT franchise coming to Switch I could see a SMTIV double pack be announced for Switch (IV and Apocalypse). Though it's a missed opportunity that 1 and 2 aren't being localized like FE1 was last year (of course not being limited time would be far preferable).
I've mentioned before in this thread about how Mario 64 hasn't aged well. I'm coming to the end of my 3D All Stars playthrough of it (just got Rainbow Ride and final Bowser battle left) and I can for sure say that 64 has dropped positions in my 3D Mario rankings.
Before:
1. Sunshine/3D World
3. Odyssey
4. 64
5. Galaxy
6. Galaxy 2
7. 3D Land
Now:
1. Sunshine/3D World
3. Odyssey
4. Galaxy
5. Galaxy 2
6. 3D Land
7. 64
Controls are fine with most of the early levels (courses 1-5), Dire Dire Docks and at least the first 2 Bowser battles but the camera and problems like running around in circles when pushing a specific direction is a nuisance for everything else especially courses like Shifting Sand Land and Tick Tock Clock.
While 3D Land is rather uninspired compared to all the other 3D Mario games, at least it controls well.
@Grumblevolcano I love that you put the 3D world at the top. Although I don't think sunshine or 3d world is the best I think that should go to Odyssey however it's so refreshing to see 3d world being so high on someone's list. So many people say 3d world is nothing special but just a "good" Mario game so Im so glad you are someone who thinks highly of it. I love it and 3D world is so amazing Its fantastic.
This is probably biased on account of nostalgia, but I liked the galaxy games more than oddysey. I did love oddysey, but I think I liked the way galaxy had lots of small galaxies with a couple stars more than oddysey with a few big worlds with lots of moons. I also liked the music much more, the ochestral music was just amazing. I thought all the planet hopping and gravity stuff was so fun.
LOL
I was thinking this is my comparison between 3D Mario games with 3D platformer games on PS3 after i played them.
Sly Cooper Thieves in Time and Trilogy on PS3 > every 3D Mario games.
Ratchet & Clank PS3 games > every 3D Mario games.
3D Mario games are good for me, i still like to play them but i think i have discovered something better than 3D Mario games, something that Nintendo still haven't experienced yet. I wouldn't mind to see Mario goes Secret Agent in kids spionage style games like Sly Cooper or Mario use weapons 101 like Ratchet & Clank style from Mario power ups (For example, turn the Fire Flower into Pyro Blaster, Boomerang into Shuriken Blaster, POW block into Magnum Shotgun, Bell into Ultrasonic Wave shotgun, Invincible Star into Temporary Shield, etc) and Luigi with other characters are involved in the game, not just about Mario all the time.
I’ve always loved 3D World. Up until Odyssey, it was easily my favorite Mario game to date. And in hindsight, after the Odyssey honeymoon period wore off, it may be on equal footing. I suppose I’ll find out when I play it again starting this weekend.
1 Toss Up Between Mario Odyssey / Super Mario 3D World 3 Super Mario World 4 New Super Mario Bros U 5 Toss Up Between Super Mario Galaxy / Super Mario Galaxy 2 (maybe I just need to play more) 7 Super Mario 3D Land 8 Toss Up Between New Super Mario Bros Wii / New Super Mario Bros DS 10 Super Mario Sunshine 11 New Super Mario Bros 2 12 Super Mario 64 13 Super Mario Bros 3 14 Super Mario Bros 15 Toss Up Between Super Mario Bros 2 / Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels 17 Super Mario Land 2 18 Super Mario Land
This isn’t counting Mario Maker 1/2, which is kind of its own thing as a creation tool. The games are amazing, but I don’t feel they fit in a direct comparison.
And keep in mind, Mario 64 was one of the greatest games of all time when it released, and the only reason it’s so low now is because platforming standards have improved over the last couple decades, not because the game was insufficiently designed.
But ya. 3D World rocks. It’s just pure platforming goodness, and I love the linear, 2D style approach in a 3D environment.
I haven't played Galaxy 2, so it'll just be a 2 for 1 with Galaxy 1. And while I have played some of World, some of the original, I haven't played anything before NSMBDS.
As far as 3D Mario goes...
Galaxy = Odyssey = 3D World > 3D Land > 64 > Sunshine.
For 2D Mario games...
NSMBU / Luigi U = NSMBDS > NSMB Wii > NSMB2
@TheJGG
One thing from my experience with Galaxy 1, your multiple of Marios will be always back to 4 or 5 no matter how many Marios have you collected from last time playing.
Sly Cooper Thieves in Time PS3 = Ratchet & Clank A Crack in Time PS3 > Ratchet & Clank 3 Up Your Arsenal > Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction PS3 > Sly Cooper 2 Band of Thieves > Super Mario Odyssey >>> Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 >>> 2D Mario games
