I forgot about Resident Evil Village. I’m really excited for that one, actually. There’s just so few games I play outside of Switch nowadays that when one does pop up here or there it slips my mind. It’ll be especially good on Steam with a headset and gyro (I can’t play it any other way- ever since Revelations on 3DS, the gyro has been a mainstay). I’m more excited for the RE Switch that’s coming, though. Getting a new Resident Evil built ground up with Switch in mind in the RE Engine with gyro and HD rumble is hype. Doubt it’ll make 2021 though.
Also forgot about No More Heroes 3, though it would probably be #15 in place of Disgaea 6.
There’s actually a couple games I’ll be picking up this year outside of Switch. Final Fantasy VII when it hits Steam, God of War if it makes it this year, on PS5. And I’m hoping this is the year we see Persona 5 at least come to Steam (not expecting Switch, though I am half expecting Persona 4 Golden to come to Switch next).
This is all gonna be subject to change though because we’re probably getting Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 this year, we’ve got a decent change of seeing Bayonetta 3, and Metroid will likely feature in some way, be it a new 2D entry or the Prime Trilogy, there could be Pokémon Diamon/Pearl remakes, and half a dozen other Nintendo games that aren’t announced yet.
But even with the 15 I’ve got on my list now, it’s already the best year for gaming of any year I can recall. Not even 2013 3DS or 2017 Switch has anything on 2021 Switch.

Raiden is my top game of all time. Mario 3D world might be my favourite Mario. If the sports game is Strikers I'll be extra happy. It's a short list but one which would make me happy.
Top five upcoming games:
1) Shin Megami Tensei V (could it be anything else? This is the game that sold me on the Switch back in 2017)
2) Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD (is it a perfect port? No. But it does feature at least one huge QoL improvement, and it's portable, and I've spent years wanting a portable version of Nocturne. If I ever find a magic lamp, I'm going to have to figure out a new third wish)
3) Monster Hunter Rise (looks like everything I could have ever wanted in a MH4U follow-up. I'm not a hardcore hunter by any means, but I do plan on playing the hell out of this when it releases)
4) Persona 5 Strikers (both an evolution of the musou format and a sequel to one of the best games released this generation. AND it's releasing on my preferred platform. Super jazzed this is so close to release now)
5) Ys IX: Monstrum Nox (if it's even half as good as Ys VIII was, then it's going to be one of the best games released this year)
Honorable Mentions: The Medium; Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny; Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin; Gal*Gun Returns; Horizon Forbidden West; Rune Factory 5; Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury; Bravely Default 2
Top five upcoming indie games:
1) Kena: Bridge of Spirits (about as AAA as indie games come; it looks fantastic, and I'm really excited to play it)
2) Gnosia (super unique gameplay and evocative artstyle; it just seems really cool)
3) Disco Elysium: The Final Cut (heard so many good things about this RPG, although I worry a bit about how it'll perform on the Switch)
4) Gestalt: Steam & Cinder (I've had my eye on this one for a while now: a 2D action-rpg platformer in the vein of games like Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia and Bloodstained, but with a science-fiction/western hybrid setting)
5) Hollow Knight: Silksong (yeah, sure, why not? I liked the first one, and I'm sure this sequel will be excellent as well)
Also, top three games I'm concerned about -
1) Shin Megami Tensei V (it's topping the list until I see ANYTHING other than cinematic teaser trailers; for a game that's supposed to be releasing this year, precious little seems to be known about it)
2) Baldo (this was supposed to release last year, but we've heard nothing in months, and the eshop description has been changed and reads like it was written by someone who speaks English as a third language; not encouraging)
3) World of Horror (back in mid-2020, the game went months without an update or any communication from the developer, causing people to think they had abandoned the project; updates seem to be coming in again, but this is another release that was supposed to come out last year, yet even the PC version still seems to be thoroughly unfinished, which makes me think a Switch version is a little too far out for my liking)
I feel like I'm the only person in the gaming community excited for Far Cry 6. Hahaha. I can't wait, and it's going to be the best thing ever(to me at least).

Capcom is gonna do a broadcast in january 21th at 22 pm, focused on Resident Evil 8 Village and others franchise news(time for Resident Evil game build for ground up for Switch?).

According to the data leak the Resident Evil Switch could come in late 2021, but I'm not expecting it until 2022. Those dates were pre-Covid. Plus they're not gonna show another RE until a few months after REVIII is out, provably 6 at least.

Disco Elysium (I'm very...very tempted to drop $250 on the iam8bit CE; so far I've held off.)
Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis (I'm buying an XSX for this game alone, everything else is gravy.)
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox (Amazing yet still underappreciated series of action rpg games.)

I have a serious question about the Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue Edition. 😅
What kind of red does it have? It's not the darker red what the Odyssey bundle had. It looks a lot like Neon-red you can see on the box art of a regular Switch. That would be awful. In rl it looks nothing like red. That color on basically everything of the Mario Edition? =/
