@JaxonH thanks for the heads up. I need somebody to do that with the yen cards. I did snag 4 of these though. My 1TB is full so I'm buying less digital but this is a nice padding for later.

@JaxonH Thanks. Grabbed three cards. I was planning on going mostly physical this year (and still plan to with the Atlus games I want), but three of those cards is a free $60. That's a free full-price Switch game. It's even better than the voucher program Nintendo used to have.

Np. Deals this good don’t come around often. Usually I buy from Raise ever since you showed me that trick, but they’re down to like 8% back now. Still way better than full price, for sure, but 30% is too good to pass up.

My micro SD card filled with 500+ screenshots and some 30 sec videos of Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Also, i have more than 30 videos of Zanmato (Yojimbo's Overdrive) when i was playing FF X Switch.
I’ve filled two 1TB cards, aside from 150gb free space on the second spare tucked in the Nyko kickstand. Granted, this was 100% digital. Have to keep archiving games on the main card and downloading on the spare. 2TB cards can’t come soon enough. Unfortunately the Lite has no kickstand, so no slot for a spare SD. That one is just constant musical chairs with the best 1TB of games, the other half are perma-archived. First world problems.

@JaxonH I thought buying a 256Gb card was overkill but I'm positively shocked! It must cost a lot to maintain this library of games. Granted I download less games digitally than you for sure (and less games in general) but some deals are too good to pass up.
I doubt my digital games would fit on a 1TB card at this point (despite me usually buying physical where I can) but I'm pretty content with sticking to my 400GB card and keeping most of my collection archived. If I've finished a game or aren't going to be playing it any time soon then it doesn't really matter if it's installed or not.
I'm all digital and have five SD cards totaling over 2 TB in circulation. In practice I have 4 of these as an alphabetical archive of games, and other one contains my current games. If I want to play a game that's not on my "current" SD card, I simply swap in the SD with the archived version. All-in-all still more convenient than physical, but not ideal.
I feel slightly targeted that I somehow sparked a “who filled their SD card” convo but yeah y’all, I like games and I buy in two regions. It is often less expensive to buy digital as well.
Considering I am past the 400 + DLC/patches game mark and only about 160 or so (I haven’t counted recently or worked on my database so that number is low) physical, it’s not that weird that I filled up a 1TB card and internal storage. I do refuse to buy a new one until at least a 1.5 TB comes out so for now I have to delete games as I beat them, which I don’t like to do.

My 400 GB is full, it'll be nice when the 1TB drops to be cheap enough to buy. It doesn't help that a lot of space is dedicated to games with giant patches even if physical a la Doom, Borderlands etc
I have a 256 card I've almost filled, but I only buy digital for eShop digital games. So, in actuality, most of the 256 is taken up by games like DOOM and Spyro that I have physical but still needed substantial downloads. Pretty frustrating.
I've just got a 128GB card, the trick is to just delete the games you're not playing ;p
Lol - obviously you're not a "But I'm playing ALL these games" kind of person. That's ok. No-one's judging. You do you. Live your best life.
*Quietly weeps beneath mountain of terabytes backlog.
For realz tho - I'm sporting a bulging 256gb card. There's plenty on there yet to be played, and yet when it comes to finding room for a new digital purchase somehow the anguish is still so strong.
Kinda hilarious to think that Jax is holding out for a 2tb card that he'll fill the second his download speed will allow. Gonna need 3 of them minimum by the time they ever drop.
@gcunit Yeah, I only really play one solo game at a time (currently Starlink which is digital and surprisingly good!) and then have 5/6 quick session/online/arcade style game normally Smash, Spatoon 2, Arms, Mario Kart 8 and Mortal Kombat 11(which is digital and 30gb+) I play between the solo game. I do have a few digital only games like XCOM 2, Rogue Trooper Redux, Alien: Isolation, Ni no Kuni etc that I got cheap in a sale but I've not bothered downloading yet as I wouldn't touch them even if they were downloaded.
Tbh if I did play a load of solo games at the same time I would probably just lose interest in one for another game and then forgot about leaving it incomplete forever whilst this way I play everything I buy sooner or later.
Youd be surprised how fast those things fill up depending on the games you're buying.
33 GB Witcher 3
27 GB Final Fantasy X/X-2
27 GB Borderlands 2 (not counting the other two)
24 GB Resident Evil Revelations 2
24 GB XCOM 2
22 GB DOOM
22 GB Wolfenstein 2
21 GB Bioshock Infinite (not counting the other two)
Etc. etc. etc.
That's over 20% of the 1TB card right there, and it's barely over half a dozen games. Then there's the fact you don't actually get a full TB, and alot of these games have multiple entries (TWO massive Assassins Creed games and TWO massive Doom games and THREE Bioshock games and THREE Borderlands games, SEVEN Resident Evil Games (RE franchise accounts for 10% of a 1TB microSD in and of itself) and so on.
Swapping games works. But theres 2 main reasons to have everything downloaded, if possible. 1 Immediate access to whatever you get the sudden impulse to play 2 Assurance you have access to your purchases even if a black swan event occurred (like the anti digital people are always warning against).
If I can have all my paid software in my personal control without counterparty risk, I prefer to keep it that way.
