@NintendoByNature Not a confirmed thing though Hollow Knight and Silksong have currently only appeared at E3 Directs (Hollow Knight at E3 2018, Silksong at E3 2019) regarding Nintendo events. Hollow Knight didn't appear in the Indie World Game Awards ad either.
Certainly wouldn’t rule it out if Team Cherry is RT it. I mean, that’s almost confirmation we’ll see it there. Always a first time for everything. It’s not like Nintendo goes by special rule patterns fans parse from random happenings. Especially in this post-Direct world.

@NintendoByNature It's not official or anything, but HK/SS are both so far full direct exclusive. But still, every single indie world has all the YouTubers using Silksong thumbnails to bait people despite it being so unlikely. That's my main issue with it.
Aaaanyways, DKC 3 on Switch finally! Now we just need Earthbound / Beginnings and... uh... what else is even missing from NSO first partywise on NES/SNES?
Just checking out the GG Aleste 3 gameplay stream. A little lttp since the live stream was uploaded over a week ago. But the game's release is coming soon and I was curious to see if it's worth the 7,500 yen asking price. Eh...although GG Aleste 3 being made specifically for the Aleste Collection, I think the asking price is too steep.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,260 games (as of June 15th, 2024)

acording to the confidencial information that leaked from Capcom, Nintendo paid around $6 milion dollars to make Monster Hunter Rise a timed exclusive to Switch(it gonna release later on PC).

There's a few somewhat obscure NES games missing like Mach Rider, Devil World and Pinball. I'm not sure how likely any of those are to be released on NSO at this point, but it would be nice to have them. They're the kind of games that I'd be interested in trying out but don't really want to pay for individually on Virtual Console.
Come on Nintendo, give us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Switch Online
Why did TC retweet the Indie Direct? That's disappointing. Get people hyped up for nothing? What gives Team Cherry?
Also, find it strange Super Meat Boy Forever releases on Switch in like... a week, but when it was advertised at the Game Awards, Switch logo was nowhere to be found. Even though it's a week away from release.
Also, Nintendo shouldn't have even bothered with paying Capcom. They were making the game ground up for Switch anyways, who cares if it comes to PC now or the end of the year (and let's pray they didnt pay for full exclusivity, which they could have, because I'm all for this game going to PC later). Well, I guess some people care, but given how insanely good it looks on Switch, the fact its PORTABLE MH (and what's more, the first AAA handheld hybrid MH), I can't imagine they'd be losing that many sales either way. People are gonna want this game on Switch. PC isnt a threat. Most of World's PC sales came from China/Asia anyways.
Guess what I'm saying is- it was console exclusive anyways, and exclusively handheld hybrid anyways. It was never coming to PS or Xbox regardless. So who cares. Even Sony is putting their exclusives on PC now.

@Dogorilla Devil World is on the JP version, no? I'd be excited for Mach Rider at least if that happened. Pinball... if it's classic pinball, give me Pokemon Pinball or Revenge of the Gator over that. Not that they're on NES/SNES but y'know. Or I'd love to replay Pinball Science (PC) but I doubt anyone even knows what that game is anymore.
@JaxonH This is why people shouldn't expect Silksong at an Indie World... It's not going to happen. They probably just are friends with someone who's game was in the actual direct.
But when the developer retweets, that sends a very intentional signal. An indie dev shouldn't retweet to advertise an indie showcase if their indie game isn't in it. That's just nonsensical.

@JaxonH It's not non-sensical to me, just effective marketing. One teeny tiny tweet costing nada and a host of people start hyping their upcoming game for them. Anyone reading too much into a retweet only has themselves to blame...
Is among us appropriate for an 8yr old? My daughter sees her older brother playing on his phone and is always asking if she can have it. I really don't know anything about it other than it's a find the imposter type game.
@NintendoByNature I'd say just watch it if they're playing with a public group.
The nature of the game is one person is the imposter, the rest are trying to fix all the issues on the ship (via very easy minigames). The imposter goes around killing, in a cartoony violence manner such as breaking their neck, stabbing them with your tongue, or shooting them with a pistol. A single oversized bone is shown on dead crewmembers in a gag fashion, nothing even resembling gore otherwise.
The meat of it however is that you have to communicate with the other players to figure out who the imposter is. Which, there are both open lobbies (which I don't play) and the ability to play with friends in closed lobbies. Closed lobbies should be fine if she's playing with her brother for example, but open lobbies carry the standard warning of anyone could say anything on the internet, and this is a game that breeds frustration in some people.
@gcunit
I wouldn't say expecting an indie dev to show their game after "indie dev promotes indie event" is reading too much into anything. In fact, I'd say that's reading into it exactly as much as one should.
And I disagree, people have more than themselves to blame- they have Team Cherry to blame. For ya know, falsely insinuating their game would be shown (and that is exactly what they did- it's why it got them publicity).
But I blame myself too. I wont be stupid enough to ever listen to them again. Like the boy who cried wolf- you can deceive and get your 15 min of fame, but there comes a point people stop believing you, and stop paying attention to what you say.
I'm not even upset about it really. A bit disappointed I suppose. But I'm not gonna pretend what they did was kosher. It absolutely wasn't.
