To The Moon is an interesting adventure. It has great story and dialogue, and good music and atmosphere, but basic and linear gameplay (find stuff and speak to people in the right order, then solve an easy puzzle to move to the next chapter). It's good for one playthrough though. I didn't know how much I liked it until I saw both psyche researcher main protagonists return in Finding Paradise. That game was one of my favourites from the Switch Indie presentation.
Capcom was showcasing 2 weapons per day for Monster Hunter Rise, but their France site put them all up for a short time today, and someone managed to make backups before they were taken down.
That hunting horn, Switch Axe and Charge Blade... my goodness. Absolutely insane!
They of course got uploaded to YT as well. Check out the Charge Blade. Absolutely sick.

And the hunting horn! For those who don't know- each different attack plays a separate note, and you strategically line up 3-4 notes in a melody and then play the song for a specific buff.

Ooh, downloading now. Let’s see how they fixed it up.
It’s literally just the first chapter of the game, with cross save(cannot transfer save- you get 5 hours starting at first chapter after prologue, which the game will remind you of in corner of screen- once it’s up, you can start a new game and do it as many times as you like, but never progress more than 5 hrs in). Looks like we get to start playing Bravely Default II early.
Looks like meat’s back on the menu, boys!
@Dezzy
Summer release, cross save bonus content with Monster Hunter Rise, probably amiibo support from the Rise amiibo, not sure if original MH Stories amiibo will be compatible.
They’ll probably not say much until after the release of Monster Hunter Rise on March 26th.

I'm on my third playthrough of Fire Emblem Three Houses and man, what an achievement of a game. This is my Final Fantasy Tactics game of the last decade (or two decades? lol). I can just replay this thing over and over, and I haven't touched the DLC yet.
Tactical RPGs don't always gel with me (still can't get into Disgaea as hard as I try), but this one is just fantastic. Some people don't like the exploration and conversations and having tea and all that, but I think it just fleshes everything out. And with the different paths, some characters and events are different enough that I'm not just skipping all the dialogue.
Just another game I'm "100%ing" during this stretch of relatively little going on. My Luigi's Mansion 3 replay totally changed my opinion (favorably) toward that game, and this replay is just solidifying what I already felt the first time.
Playing through Super Mario Galaxy right now (via the 3D All-Stars collection, and it's just leagues beyond the previous 3D Mario games on every level. What an achievement! What especially gets me is that the art direction is so strong that all it needed was a resolution boost to stand toe-to-toe with Switch games.
I could do without the stupid gimmick levels, like that horrible one where you're rolling on a ball, but otherwise it's still as magical as it was the first time I played through it.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
Horace is on sale with 90% off, just £1.09 on the British Eshop. I implore everyone to pick it up. I've been playing it for the last 2 hours and it's brilliance has really taken me by surprise. I've never played anything like it. The graphics, the music, the gameplay, the story telling are all supreme quality. I'm normally not into story telling, games with a lot of cut scenes but they are so well done here.
Even if you're not normally into indie games, give this a go, you'll be surprised. You can't go wrong at that price.
Fire Emblem Three Houses is a generational classic. It’s THE strategy game to play this gen. Next up would probably be Mario Rabbids, Gears Tactics (if you have PC), then XCOM 2, Valkyria Chronicles 4 and Civilization VI, but Fire Emblem is on another level entirely. Mario Galaxy is also an amazing game. Great having on Switch, I just hate the touchscreen only controls in handheld mode.
I’m gonna make a new list of top 25 Switch games everyone needs to own in their library. I know for sure Monster Hunter Rise and Zelda Breath of the Wild would top the list, but digging into the less recognized gems like Fire Emblem, Pikmin 3, Sniper Elite 4, Doom Eternal, Trials Rising, etc wouldn’t be easy. There’s so many amazing games on Switch, and amazing Switch versions of games, it would be difficult to boil it all down to just 25.
But for that reason, I think it would be good to highlight the ones that are absolute gems which shouldn’t be missed.

Creating a list of just the top 25 Switch games would be a tough task. You could probably create a top 100 list and still have to compromise by leaving a lot of good games off the list, depending on your genre preferences. For example: Bayonetta 1 & 2 double pack, Diablo III, Dragon Quest XI, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Super Mario Odyssey would be my top 5 recommendations. But where would they rank on your list?
Switch Physical Collection - 1,536 games (as of December 14th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@Magician
That's hard to say. Bayonetta 2 is my favorite game in the pure action genre, Odyssey is my favorite game in the 3D platformer genre, Diablo 3 might be my favorite loot based RPG (maybe) and I love the others as well, even if they arent best in genre imo.
So all 5 would probably be on a top 100 list. But Idk how theyd fall on a top 25. There's just so many other incredible games.
