@IceClimbers Oh yeah, New Pokemon Snap for March and probably Pokemon Remakes (Either Gen 2 Let's Go or Gen 4 traditional remakes for November). The process of the getting the National Dex back makes me think we may get a 2nd expansion pass for Sword/Shield instead of the remakes though.
@Octane
I dont see any evidence of that though. As YOU have pointed out many times, simply BEING exclusive isnt evidence of money hatting. Exclusives have been around for decades. It's the habitual policy of money hatting exclusives THAT WERE ORIGINALLY PLANNED FOR OTHER SYSTEMS that's the problem.
And that's not the case.
Bravely Default is SE response to not putting their money hatted Final Fantasy games on Switch. Monster Hunter is developed due to Sony money hatting for a game built ground up for power consoles they could have exclusive in Japan, so Switch needed a separate game to sell to that audience. Rune Factory is just a smaller budget game that has an audience on Nintendo (like Hack. gu on PS, they dont want to risk porting). No More Heroes is just a result of the dev being a huge Nintendo fan, one of the few instances where its not the other way around. Bayonetta is funded by Nintendo. SMT is Atlus's weird answer to Persona being Sony exclusive.
The only one that MIGHT have had money hatting involved is Disgaea, that is weird to be exclusive. But we have no evidence, only speculation, and no history of systemic moneyhatting to form presuppositions that shape that speculation, unlike Sony where we have BOTH a history of it AND evidence with specific examples.
I know you're eager to defend Sony but, the facts are the facts. It is what it is. But keep in mind, if Nintendo ever does start money hatting, it will only be because their hand is forced by Sony (and I presume Microsoft who will soon follow suit). When everyone else is paying to keep games off your platform, fighting fire with fire might be the only viable response. We havent seen that yet, but if we do, and if it happens repeatedly over long periods of time, I'll call it out just as quick.
Nintendo is in a unique position due to their hybrid hardware, and missing tons of games means they are positioned to get more games designed ground up for their system. Unlike with with Sony/MS/PC, where practically every game is built for all 3 (aside from niche JP games which dont have large enough market on Xbox), and 3rd party exclusives are much more likely to be a result of money hatting (again, barring niche JP titles with inadequate marketshare on Xbox).

Today was a great day. Everything shown in Monster Hunter was basically what I dreamt of. Mainly
> The Hunting Hound Concept being a thing in Palamutes: Check
> Stories 2 being a thing: Check
Honestly all I could’ve really wanted otherwise was just to see some gameplay from Stories 2. That’s all. Great day.
@JaxonH I don't think Disgaea 6 being exclusive was money-hatted. NIS LOOOOOOOVES the Switch, and their strategy as of late has been to release a game exclusively one platform (Disgaea 5 to PS4, for example), and then, after all the DLC is out, to re-release it on other platforms in a couple of years.
PS5 owners will get Disgaea 6 Complete in 2023 or whatever.
Also worth mentioning that NIS has been very loudly and publicly disenchanted with Sony and their approach to smaller third-parties for a while now.
Oh, and I'm not giving up on Bravely 2 still being a 2020 release. I think there's room for it in Q4, and we'll probably hear about it soon.
I've been patiently waiting for this day for a long time. I remember when World released. Despite being incredibly excited for it, I was distraught over the fact it was releasing everywhere except Nintendo Switch, the one platform I wanted it on most. And I remember the gloating and smug boasting in the comments section of the articles about World not coming to Switch. I remember all the posts about how "MH should stay on power consoles moving forward".
Oh how good it feels to see this exclusive Switch entry, built ground up with all the niceties of World and then some.

I feel like we're Mission control at NASA and we just landed the first manned spacecraft on Mars.

@Ralizah
That's kinda what I was thinking too given the statement they put out regarding Sony, but I didnt want to rule anything out. Insanely high Disgaea sales on Switch also help.

@JaxonH Y'know, I'm pretty sure Octane was joking. I'm also pretty sure Nintendo is helping fund SMT V. The fact that it was announced when it was suggested Nintendo pushed hard for Atlus to give them that support.
Out of the rest of the list though? Yeah, Disgaea makes sense as a temporary exclusive given NIS' business model, I don't think either Sony or Nintendo has been paying for the timed exclusivity on that series. Stories is basically the replacement for the Portable/Freedom subseries, but more distinct, so it's probably going to continue to be portable systems only. Rise makes sense as an exclusive thanks to timing, if the first MH PS5 game looked like that people would throw a hissy fit. So yeah, I'd say mainly SMT V / Bayo 3 as paid by Nintendo, with big maybes on Rise / Disgaea / No More Heroes. If we see Disgaea 6 announced for PS5 as soon as DLC finishes (per usual), we'll know that no money changed hands though.
Anyways, more on the topic of exclusives, I'm just glad these games that are tailored for the Switch exist. Just like Octopath, I'm not going to get upset or think less of them if they drop exclusivity later, that's only a good thing.
@Ralizah With the news of there will be more partner directs I won't be shocked if Square locks down a November release date. Or better yet a December release. Releasing on that month did wonders for Xenoblade 2, so I can see Default 2 getting the same result.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

I know it wasnt meant too seriously, I hope my post didnt come off as too serious. But since it was brought up, I figured I'd share my thoughts on it nonetheless.

@Slowdive I may be in the minority, but MH Rise didn't look that spectacular to me. Balan launching on current and next doesn't mean as much when sports games do it too.
I see where you're reaching, but I don't think there's anything in that cupboard.

That's a bannable offense in these parts. Tread carefully
Seriously though, the game looked remarkably similar to World graphically, MUCH more so than I ever dreamed was possible. MH Rise is the most impressive Switch game I've seen since Zelda Breath of the Wild.

I'm not that familiar with the other entries, so I'm just going by the trailer. Not to mean it looks bad, I just didn't see how it would indicate it needed to be on a more powerful Nintendo.

There were like 2 or 3 games all releasing March 26th. Could just be fiscal year, or...
It could be the new Switch revision is launching that day. Would line up with New 3DS releasing alongside Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
