Why would that be a problem for them, @teo_o .... ? Buying a top-end Android & a controller to turn it into a suitable gaming device for XCloud is a lot more expensive than a Switch! It still won't play Nintendo's games, either. So, the main reason to get a Switch remains intact & it's still a budget device in comparison to a £800+ phone
@BruceCM from my prospective i completely agree with you! i wouldn't trade my switch for a streamed experience ever. But you don't need a 1000 bucks phone to stream content and statistically you already own a phone, so you only need a controller to play on a streaming service (i still have to see a comfortable way to attach a phone to a controller that doesn't resemble a scanning device for radiations).
But in the world of netflix quality clearly isn't the problem.
Good luck streaming Xcloud on a phone that's less than £500, @teo_o.... You have to get the controller and pay for the service, too? I'm a fan of the idea but I don't think it's much competition for Nintendo!
I got my Switch for the Nintendo games, so it certainly won't affect that part
@Magician That'd be my preference. Especially considering how many accessories I've bought for the OG Switch.
My Switch + upgraded PC will be enough for me for most of the generation, I imagine. I might buckle if there's a PS5-exclusive Silent Hill, or if FF7R 2 is PS5 exclusive, but otherwise I don't think there'll be anything too tempting for me.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
@BruceCM thing is i'm not a fan of the idea! 😂 it's cumbersome and laggy and with visual artifacts.
But it is triple A gaming coming to a portable device you already own, and it will be marketed that way. And if you happen to be already a gamepass costumer it will be included.
I'm partially worried about people that don't care about the artifacts, can't seem to notice the lag and won't mind having a crane in their backpacks to attach the phone to a controller.
I hope it turns out to be a non issue for nintendo but it is a potential problem.
At the end of the day it is a battle for content, and Nintendo has the high ground with their IPs as long as they sell like crazy.

You could certainly stream xcloud on a cheap phone. Xcloud is not running any part of the game on your phone, so you don't really need anything high tech. If you can watch YouTube on your phone, you can use xcloud. I have played it on my $200 Galaxy Tab A with no issues at all. The biggest issue is Internet speed and your proximity to an xcloud data center.
@Magician Yay. KH does have an insanely large repertoire of music to pull from (Advertisement says over 140). So honestly, I think the content is there. And assuming the gameplay is as good as Theatrhythmn, then that parts set too. So yeah, that's fine.
I mean, most budget rhythm games on Switch have like, 15-20 songs, so in terms of songs per dollar this easily outshines them.
Rilakkuma on Nintendo Switch !
YAAAAY....!!! 😄😄😄
Another cute game outside of the Direct has been discovered. 😁
I love you playasia. 😘
And thank you for Nippon Columbia as the developer of this game for providing more cute and girly games for Nintendo Switch.

Oh wait, I know about this!
So this character was in a stop-motion anime that came out on Netflix a while ago. So I guess they're capitalizing on that recent success.
Oh boy, just scrolling through the new eshop offers - there's quite a lot that have entered my zone of temptation between £5 and £10. I've been spending a lot on retro stuff recently, my 256gb SD is already over full, but what's a boy to do?
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
