I'm glad you guys got your Pikmin 3 remaster! Not my thing, but I know a lot of people around here really wanted it.
After playing Origami King I'd love for some Color Splash or even a port of Thousand Year Door, though that would probably just come if they ever do GC games for Online.
@JaxonH Co-Op story mode is absolutely huge. If I get a chance to play this with a friend, it'll be a whole new ball game. Pikmin 3 feels like it was meant for co-op anyways, so this could be one of the best co-op experiences on Switch.
...I'm still holding out hope that the reason it says NSO is required is because there's online co-op. But I'm expecting it to just be the online leaderboards being locked behind NSO, which is even stupider than usual online locking.
Hey I need help, I'm going to buy maio kart 8 but I wont have money for any more games so should I wait for the reported mario 35th anniversary game?
Really it depends if you want to play Mario Kart or Mario platformers. Also the Mario game may not even exist and if it does you could be waiting for any amount of time for it.
Finally read about the Pikmin 3 Deluxe announcement. I'm happy for Pikmin fans, but even with some of the changes I'm not double-dipping. I played and finished the story mode on Wii U, and past a certain point the game became way less fun and more tedious for me. I wasn't a fan of the time limit, the Pikmin AI isn't great, and I wasn't fond of the control scheme the game foisted on me at first (thanks to an installed update). The latter was easily remedied, but whoever made the touch controls the default when first starting the game did not have southpaws in mind.
@NintendoByNature I've been able to ignore more recent eShop sales (after early last month) as the games on my wishlist that were part of them do go on sale from time to time. Plus, I don't have to worry about many of them going anywhere...for some time at least.
@BruceCM I'll let you know. I'm kinda leaning towards VI as I've read the DS version of IV isn't a good first entry due to difficulty (though it's still a very good game from what I've read). People sing X's praises, and those who have played X-2 seem to either love it or hate it.
@Tyranexx VI is an amazing game and great entry point to FF, especially if you dig the 16-bit era graphics.
IV is great too, but yeah, the DS version is definitely the 'hard' version. I had played the SNES version many times through and the DS version threw me for a loop because it was noticeably a lot harder.
X.....I got and played X based on people singing it's praises. I found it to be a slog, with terrible pacing and a lot of filler. I only pushed through it to finish the story. Many people do seem to love it, though.

Ya it's just the leaderboards, otherwise they'd have mentioned it. But ya, co-op is huge. I do actually agree with @sixrings in this case though- local wireless would be preferred. That being said, the ability to pass a sideways joycon and play MP on the spot with one Switch and one copy of the game is also much appreciated. It may end up having local wireless- we don't know for sure it doesnt, but for now I'm going to assume it's just split joycon MP.
It needs gyro though. The whole "new lock on" thing scares me. Makes me wonder if they went back to GC controls and thus, needed a lock on. They SHOULD have right analog control camera, and have holding ZR activate gyro aiming. That way it never drifts because it only ever activates for short bursts as you hold ZR to aim. But see, that would make too much sense, and that's why I'm thinking Nintendo didnt do it.

@Cotillion You've hit on another reason why I'm attracted to VI; I like 16-bit graphics. Not only due to nostalgia, but they've also aged well over times.
X looks very enjoyable too from what I've seen, but its run time isn't as appealing to me right now since I'm still wrapping up Xenoblade Chronicles...and that's without Future Connected. XD
IV looks phenomenal even with the graphics they went with, but I'm gonna need to be in the right mindset before I play through that one.
Thanks for the input! I'm now leaning more towards VI than before.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Tyranexx
FF X-2 was the "Charlie's Angel" version of Final Fantasy.
It was like FF X went girly with silly story plot twisted with hilarious / cringey moments and dark secret beneath.
@JaxonH Yeah, but the person I want to play with is halfway across the country, so online is my preference. Ooootherwise I'll be waiting a year+ to have a shot at that.
As for the controls, I'm hoping that it just means that they're providing both motion and non-motion required control schemes. As much as I love motion for this game, I don't think it'd work well in portable mode on this title. But I'd still want to use it in docked mode. Plus, having a non-motion required option makes the game more accessible.

I'm all for it if it's just a QoL addition on top of gyro aim. We've also yet to see if touch is included, though I'm not sure it would work well without a stylus.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild:18.60 million
Pokémon Sword/Pokémon Shield: 18.22 million
Super Mario Odyssey: 18.06 million
