@Grumblevolcano Well I'm trying to avoid the Dead by daylight news and I'm assuming it would only appear to people who bought the game, but it got a youtube video so I was/am afraid that means it's important enough to show up for everyone regardless if they have that game or not. I'm asking cause I really don't want to come across it on my Switch. It came out on June 16th(the video and the content it's for, I imagine).

Not my cup of tea either... But now I'm curious... What is this crossover?

@A_Kirby_fan Game specific Switch news channels (the ones you get added to when you play the game) are only for some games, even most 1st party games don't have their own Switch news channel. Most games just have the info come through the main channel.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the top 3 best sellers in the NA eShop for Download-Only Games are all Microsoft games.

1 Minecraft Dungeons
2 Cuphead
3 Ori and the Blind Forest

Touché, Microsoft... Touché.

Also, Idk how good it is, but man is that Duke Nukem 3D World Tour eShop trailer one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. They nailed it too, advertising gyro aiming, HD rumble and local wireless MP up to 4 people.

Stop Gearbox. You had me at gyro aiming.

Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced

@JaxonH lol I quickly preloaded duke myself after i saw it. Barely playing those games years ago, after seeing the trailer i was like....ok you got me

@JaxonH I mean, it's no surprise really. The best download only (well, worldwide download only) titles outside of Microsoft are all either very old ports (Doom, Devil May Cry), small Nintendo Projects (Boxboy and BoxGirl), indies without significant marketing budgets (Celeste, Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight), or F2P (Warframe). Microsoft is the only one bringing budgeted (relatively) new download-only titles on Switch.

Which is kind of a shame, cause Dillon's, Pushmo, Sakura Samurai, NES Remix, etc were some great titles. But in exchange we've gotten some titles that can compete with the best of the SNES, so I really can't complain.

@JaxonH Heh, i contributed. I bought ori on sale. While also owning it on x1. And having game pass

Will I do

Random but Activision really needs to put a COD on switch. I’ve tried all the clones that are available and I just can’t get into them. I’m trying though. It’s rough.

I agree they should have put Modern Warfare 1/2 Remastered on Switch, but I wouldn’t waste my time with clones. There’s just so many other, better FPS that (IMO) are better than CoD anyways. I’m that’s not a slight against CoD, because I actually really enjoy the single player campaign in those games. But Borderlands 1/2/TPS is more fun, has single player and co-op for the entire campaign. Doom and Doom Eternal have more fun single player campaigns, and good multiplayer. Overwatch is probably the most fun competitive shooter I’ve played (not counting Splatoon 2 here), Apex Legends is coming for battle Royale...

That’s not to say CoD doesn’t also have a place at the table with a different style. I just see so many other excellent options, that CoD never even crosses my mind anymore.

Though I did start playing Modern Warfare on Steam last night (the original, not remastered, because the remastered version has horrible reviews with bugs and crashes), and despite being keyboard and mouse only (because these older 7th gen CoD games didn’t offer controller support on Steam for some reason, thank God times have changed and that’s basically standard across the board now, And even in the rare case it’s not, Steam controller config or even Steam Controller has you covered), it mapped well to controller + gyro using Steam’s default KB/M config, with a little tweaking to map melee to R3 and dropping the Y axis stick sensitivity to help turning stay in more of a straight line.

@Spanjard
😊

Guess I should have specified for Switch

I wanted to own all the CoD games on Steam that are sold there, for posterity. So I bought all the ones on the store they sell. Always start them up at least once right away to get graphics settings and resolution set up right, get the control scheme figured out and map gyro, etc.

By the end of next week the vast majority of the Direct Mini games, updates and DLC will have been released. The ones left would be:

  • Trails of Cold Steel III - June 30th
  • Catherine Full Body - July 7th
  • Warhammer 40,000 Mechanicus - July 17th
  • FUSER - Fall 2020
  • King's Bounty II - 2020
  • Bravely Default II - 2020

That’s right. Trails of Cold Steel III drops a week from Tuesday. Time to get aboard the hype train and get this tub up to speed.

If you haven’t checked out the demo, I encourage you to do so. Read the story summary, play through the beginning portion and you’ll be ready to go June 30th. I need to pick up the pace with Xenoblade.

I'll always love some good CoD. Battlefield is too slow comparatively. It is a shame they haven't put CoD on Switch at all, though. With the install base I'm sure they could drum up a good population to play it this time around.

I haven't even seen trials of cold steel, but it's falcom so I'm sold.

But i might not buy right away. Haven't even really started on dqxi, xc, or trials of mana yet! Heck i haven't even paid the Nookie off yet for my tent.

I just tried playing Mario Kart with the Labo Car.

It went well

Own up to Joy-Con Drift, Nintendo. We all know it's your fault
