Ugh the tv/cable management is such a pain. By the time I move I'll have to have 3 set up. 1 CRT, 1 LCD (that has legacy ports) and one 4k or 8k depending on how much I buy into the hype.

My 32 inch White SHARP Aquos TV invaded by Nintendo Switch, Wii, Wii U, PS2 Slim and PS4 Slim.
I need to change their Component / HDMI cables everytime i play my consoles that depend on my mood.
First time poster. In a bit of a pickle, hoping some long time Switch players can give me some advice.
Most of you are probably well informed of the rumours about the new Switch models that are supposedly coming this year. Nintendo have denied any sort of hardware announcement at E3. Which brings me to my issue -
Do I buy a Switch now or continue to hold off until Nintendo announces their rumoured refreshes? I've been waiting since Feb/Mar for something concrete but still nothing has been confirmed so unsure how much longer I'm going to have to be waiting.
Have a GB Pocket, DS Lite and a 3DS so I enjoy my Nintendo consoles very much. Replaying ChronoTrigger on my DS.
@Diogenes As of right now there's only rumors with no concrete evidence to back them up and Nintendo isn't saying anything about the subject. Take that as you will, BUT if you still have doubts i would until E3 or until the upcoming months are over. Knowing Nintendo unpredictability they can announce it out of nowhere or in a later direct.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
If Nintendo announced new hardware tomorrow but it was still 4-5 months away from hitting shelves, I'd still buy a Switch before then. Waiting to see what happens between now and E3 is a good suggestion.
I'm sure we would have seen leaks before now if stores were anywhere near close to stocking new consoles.
@IceClimbers I'm expecting it to be a good retro console. But I still want confirmation. Hopefully Sega produces enough stock that I don't need to preorder to actually acquire one.

They dont "lie" all the time. They answer in a way that doesn't give away their plans.
Such as "we have no plans to announce any hardware at E3". Notice the "at E3". Doesnt mean they won't announce it the week after. Or the week before.
And alot of other things are time sensitive. No, we're not dropping price [aka "we're not dropping price now, but very well might in the near future and when we're ready to we'll let you know].
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
In general, Nintendo says whatever they think they need to say to protect sales in the short-term, even if that misleads people about their plans in the immediate future.
We definitely won't hear about a Switch revision at E3. They'll likely just dump the news randomly at some point.
they said that at the time, they had no plans. plans change. a lot. iâd hold off until e3 to make any decisions. however i bet if something IS announced at e3, itâll be a few months before it hits shelves, and you said youâd still buy a switch in that case, so. idk.
Huh. DC Universe Online is going to the switch. Um... is this still popular?

Yeah Switch Mini is not gonna be announced at E3 but could be demonstrated if announced before then. I wouldn't expect it in a direct either. Just randomly announced with online video and press release when Nintendo deems the time is right?

They said that at an investor's Q and A though and it is illegal to lie to investors.
If they donât have currently drafted plans, and they say they donât have current plans, thatâs not a lie. They could even issue a statement to investors today to the affect of âafter examine things, we have decided to make plansâ and they wouldnât be in trouble.
The only illegality is if they had a marketing plan already in place but said they didnât. Then itâs still a matter of determining the implementation versus statements made. Itâs not nearly as cut and dry as âyou said this but did thatâ.
Thatâs also why investment is a risk system.
At the end of the day, no company would turn down the chance to avoid profit stagnation.
