Who would bother importing just because of a two week delay? I admire the appetite, but I can't imagine anyone other than a mystical collector of games from each territory would bother rather than wait two weeks.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@gcunit
Ya, I've imported over a dozen JP, EU and Asian games, but would never import out of region if an NA version was releasing in 2 weeks. The number who import are already so small, percentage wise.
@Grumblevolcano
The optimist in me wants to point out the only region MK dropped 46% rather than set records, is the one region it was delayed on Switch.
But then I remember it's the UK market 😏

@JaxonH It's basically the new Fantasy Life, and it seems to have local and online multiplayer, so I'm actually incredibly excited for it. I spent a LOT of time playing Fantasy Life with my family, and this, plus Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and a cheaper, handheld-focused revision will likely get them to finally invest in a Switch, because they generally only play handheld consoles.
With that said, I'm waiting for an official localization announcement before getting excited.

@Ralizah
I woke up at 3am (get ready for work around 4am) and immediate fired up FFXII. Since I made it to the final boss in FFX last night, its perfect timing. Got a save file going, cant WAIT to get home and start playing!

The initial stage of the Switch's Final Fantasy journey is nearly over. The only game not yet released out of the initial September Direct trailer is Crystal Chronicles.

Honestly, I'm content. We're only a month into year three of the Switch and I already have a monstrous backlog. Now, would I appreciate having Square-Enix bring more of their catalogue to the Switch? Yes, very much so, especially if S-E remade FFI-FFVI in Unreal Engine 4. But where would I find the time to play them?
I'm already dreading the second half of 2019. Dragon Quest Builders 2, Dragon Quest XI, Animal Crossing, Pokemon Sword/Shield, Fire Emblem Three Houses, all 100+ hour games...easily. Nevermind the AA-tier rpg games such as For The King, Destiny Connect, and RPG Maker.
I'm almost to the point where I hope there are very few surprise announcements at E3.
But since the Switch is as hot as a pistol right now...I doubt I'll get any respite.
@Magician
I still don't understand with SquareEnix.
They have a lot of time to recreate Kefka, ExDeath, NeoExdeath, etc in Full 3D rendering on FF XIV while they treat FF V / VI Remake like a trash (2D style for mobile).
I mean, Come On...! Why don't they make FF V / VI remake at least like FF IV remake ?
If you are into a lot of different genres it has been a little bit of a deluge this year so far. I'm having trouble keeping up with buying the games I want (and keeping my budget in the black) let alone playing them. With Dragon's dogma, saints row and the AC games, that's like 300 hours right there. Plus when FE and DQXI come out that is a full shutdown for those months for me. As such I find myself less hyped for E3. Not because I think it will be bad, but its almost like "ok what is on the way that I don't have time to play or buy?"

Whether it's series the Switch hasn't seen yet such as Ace Combat, Dead or Alive, Fatal Frame, Kingdom Hearts, Lost Planet, Ninja Gaiden, Soulcalibur, Star Ocean, Tenchu, Way of the Samurai, Yakuza, etc., or more entries in Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Onimusha, Resident Evil, etc., there can't be enough, whether they be new entries or 6th gen to modern day ports, it doesn't matter much.

Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@Ryu_Niiyama Took the words out of my mouth. Usually I hotly anticipate E3 each year, but right now I only remember it when I see other people mention it. If we don't get a single unexpected announcement that'll be fine by me. Any of the major Nintendo titles that could knock me out almost certainly won't happen at E3 this year or are already announced for this year. (Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Kid Icarus Uprising sequel, new 2D Metroid, Geist remake/sequel, Mother 3 in English, Golden Sun 4, Drill Dozer 2, new Wario Land and the next big Mario / Zelda being the ones that aren't announced as coming 2019). And when the most realistic looking wish list items you have are the next major Mario/Zelda, no point in expecting anything big. We've got enough coming as it is.
@RR529 Agreed. I just cant keep up with them currently. I'm seriously hoping capcom is going to finish porting the onimusha series to the switch. I was expecting a port of Soul calibur II HD since everybody else got it and now bamco really doesnt have an excuse this time (they could have put it on the wiiu but i get it...sales tanked). I would love to see yakuza 1-5 on switch (even after the kiwami remakes) but I'm putting my port begging energy to VF5 (or just friggen make 6, SEGA).
@link3710 Agreed. I feel like there are so many great games that have been announced/releaseing that I feel really content right now as a gamer. I try not to take stock in longshots, so there isnt really anything that I'm wanting/expecting (as in i look at e3 as in what is realistic to have chances to come to the system).
Great time to be a gamer.

At this point the part I'm most excited about regarding E3 is the stream chat on this site. The chat was 10/10 last year for keeping me entertained during the boring Smash segments (good game but way too much focus).
@Magician yeah no offense but release plans arent based on your personal schedule lol.
shrug
My feelings are nothing more than a commentary on how well the Switch is doing. I can't remember any Nintendo platform, console or handheld, having a library this good this early into that platform's life cycle. If the SNES didn't have superior nostalgia on its side, or the historical fact that the NES saved console gaming from the crash of 83', then I'd insist that the Switch is Nintendo's best platform to date. As a result, there are more games to play than there are hours in the day to play them.
