I'd forgotten how much I adore Dragon's Dogma (since my 360 isnt hooked up). And it is so smooth on the go!
-Still wish it had gotten a true sequel though. I know the story doesn't really allow for a sequel with some novel new ideas but it would have been nice to go through the cycle again with say DMC5 graphics. lol.

@IceClimbers game looks super fun. The original grand theft auto on PlayStation was one of my most played games back in the day. But I'm already thinking of getting at least one of the RE games( maybe the origins collection which obviously has two), and castlevania collection. I still have cuphead to finish, xc2 torna, Celeste and gungeon which I picked up in an eshop recently and yoshi which hasn't been opened at this point. But damn shakedown looks good
Yet another game to add to May... Pixark. Thankfully it looks like this one will actually run well.
Mortal Kombat XI plays great on Switch btw. Definitely can notice the graphical downgrade on the TV, but, it’s still 60fps and doesn’t have super low resolution, so I’m happy. On handheld it looks just spectacular, and again, great resolution with 60fps. The game is fantastic. It’s been about 15 years since I’ve played Mortal Kombat. Series has really come along way and it feels so good now.
Dragon’s Dogma, also a winner. Doesn’t look quite as dazzling as on my GPD Win 2, but the Switch doesn’t heat up like a toaster oven when playing it, so I say fair trade.
And we have SteamWorld in 2 days. Sigh... multiple great games releasing back to back, but I just can’t. I’m neck deep in Final Fantasy X, and I intend to finish my 2nd playthrough since I’ve come this far (and I wanna give X-2 a proper go this time too).
What am I gonna do with Final Fantasy XII dropping in a week. A FF marathon, that’s what. FFX, then FFX-2, then FFXII. Practically everything in May is gonna pile up in the meantime.

That was you who posted about Saint’s Row preorder discount, right? Thank you. I jumped on that. $35 for digital, which is only 7gb total... need that kind of variety on the SD to have at all times.

I caved and got both games. Loving them both. I just admit I'm already in love with my Switch. I had to google where to put the sd card! I'd never have found the spot, heheh.
A couple of questions: do I put it on sleep mode when it's docked overnight? Are the joycons charging when connected to the console? How do I find out how much charge they have left? Thanks for any help.
@k8sMum I bought mine near launch and I don’t think I’ve ever switched it off. It’s always in sleep mode in game and when I have the time to play again, boom it wakes up straight to where I left off which is one of the best things I love about the switch.
You can see how much charge it has left by going to the controller icon on the home screen and leaving the joycons on the switch charges everything.
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

@k8sMum
1) Just put the Switch in rest mode when putting it to bed for the night. Like most modern consumer electronics, it's designed to idle in a low power state.
2) The joycons charge from the central unit when they're attached in handheld mode, as far as I know. Slide them onto the console when it's docked to charge everything.
Also, if you have a tablet stand, then tabletop mode can be useful. Prop the Switch up on it, slide the joycons out of the console, and you can play with the grip like you would on the TV. You can even play with the Pro Controller in tabletop mode, if that's your groove. I generally prefer handheld, but sometimes it's nice to just prop it up next to my computer and lazily play it as I'm doing other stuff.
You can technically use the included kickstand to play in tabletop mode, but I find that I don't like the angle it sits at. A cheap tablet stand fixes that. Moreover, using a stand can allow you to charge it in that mode as well.
I also found that the system's lack of texture in handheld mode wasn't ideal for me, so I bought a grip to put on when playing in handheld mode. I've found it makes it much more comfortable to use.
It's very basic and is a bit tricky to apply to the system at first, but I got pretty good at slipping it on and off quickly, and it makes it much more pleasant to use in handheld mode. To the point where I generally won't use it in handheld mode without the grip. It just feels uncomfortable now. I've been spoiled.
I've heard really good things about the Satisfye grip, though, which seems ideal for people with large hands. Haven't used it myself, though.
