Oh ya. $20 for XC is a must. $20 for Mario Rabbids is also a must. And really, FE Warriors is a fantastic game too. That one really got overlooked but holy smokes, it’s the best mousou game I’ve ever played and a seriously awesome salute to the FE franchise. For a little over the price of one game you can get all 3.
Then again, with Darksiders, Hellblade, LABO VR, Final Fantasy X/X-2, SteamWorld Quest, Dragons Dogma, Cuphead, Mortal Kombat XI and Final Fantasy XII all releasing in April, I imagine it’s going to be pretty tight for most people‘s gaming budgets.

Late July is going to be rough with Fire Emblem AND AI: The Somnium Files releasing. Two games I want to play ASAP releasing so closely together.
Ugh.
@NintendoByNature $20 for XC2 is practically literal highway robbery. That's an AMAZING deal. If I wasn't broke, I'd be tempted to nab it myself, since I only have a digital copy at the moment.
I enjoy the switch as it is, sure it may have it's convincing conflicts. But the third party support makes a great addition to making the switch better which include accessories, games, etc.
I wish that the switch had more platforms available when it came to video streaming entertainment realms within applications (Not saying minecraft servers lol
I'm waiting for something valuable to rise to the surface like Nintendo 64 emulator, GameCube, and more to list on the switch that can be done from Nintendo themselves. Please Nintendo, make something at least functional ideas that can convert to solutions to your consumers.
I know this doesn't really fit how the switch is great, since Nintendo produced the product (the switch) I'm not really happy that Nintendo copyright claim videos to content up-loaders (that prevent the content creators viewers from watching) that are fun to watch that don't make any sort of profit or do regardless, I can understand the whole background issue of copyright infringement by monetizing. Don't copyright infringe those who won't use ad-revenue off Nintendo's IP's but to share their own personal moments to the world of how they felt that game was fun or otherwise of their choosing.

I completely understand the desire to have every game 100% on a cart. I don’t think that’s unreasonable at all. I know I would prefer to have that, and I’m guessing many here would agree.
I think the line that separates that vocal minority from the rest of us is not the desire for physical, but the unyielding, brittle viewpoint of aborting all game purchases which fall short of that incredibly acute criteria. It’s one thing to have preference, it’s another to adamantly reject any and all games which fail to meet an ever-increasingly impossible standard.
That’s not to say there aren’t certain cases where I think a person is completely justified in skipping a game over the medium in which it’s sold. I started getting upset at mandatory downloads when 400gb cards were the max and I was pushing the limits of that storage space. But that’s a legitimate situation. I had taken all the possible steps I could take to accommodate digital, and only after I had exhausted all options was I forced to ration my digital purchases. Seeing as how technology has since addressed that issue with 1TB cards, I’m back on board the digital train again.
What puzzles me is, people had no problems dumping $1000+ into a digital virtual console on Wii U and 3DS. All those “drawbacks” of digital cited like a PowerPoint presentation didn’t seem to pose a problem then. So I see people who are saying one thing with words, but their actions are saying another.
In any case, we’d definitely have little to no support if there was a significant portion of the user base adopting such a stance. I’m grateful that’s not the case.

I'm "all physical" for the Switch (which is in quotes because that's nearly impossible and you need to have the patience of a nun for some of the eShop games to get limited run physical releases, so I do have plenty of games digital), and I love having games in physical form, but even I need to say that some people are getting ridiculous.
Things are going all-digital, and fast. It's becoming sillier and sillier to limit yourself and miss out on great games because they won't be physical. The comments on the Youngblood article, for example, are just insane. People saying they'll quit gaming if everything goes completely digital. Seriously? I would say the hobby doesn't mean that much to you if you place that much importance on HOW you game instead of WHAT you are playing.
As a gamer, this is not the hill I'm going to die on. It just boggles my mind that THIS is the line in the sand for people, yet the emergence and growth of mostly corporate-greed-induced DLC over the last decade is fine. People vowing to not buy a game because it's a download code, but mark my words, some of those people are the very same who buy up every ounce of ridiculous DLC being shoved down our throats.
Why spend all that time and energy being angry and bitter when you could be enjoying a game?
This. So much this. And @JaxonH brings up a good point with the VC. I never heard someone say about Ogre Battle “no, I refuse to buy this digital. Rather buy a physical copy” 😂

@subpopz The choice is literally buy the game and enjoy it or don't and be bitter about the medium. The game is what matters. The game is what's enjoyable. I'm going to pick the game every time, not the medium

Having played Hellblade on switch, i feel the game is somehow cheating on the visuals. The opening and cinematics all look great, high resolution and other post processing effects. Then you transition to the actual game then it becomes a blurry mess with low quality texture environment. In handheld its not that terrible since it is handheld but when playing docked it’s atrocious.
@Ralizah sorry didn't see you tagged me, wierd i didn't get a notification. But, having never played a xeno game, will I be comopletley lost on what to do or how to play. I'll be honest, if I game is too cumbersome for me, I tend to quit on it which I don't like doing. I've also seen some mixed reviews on the game. Ive seen people say it's one of the best games on switch and others say it's pretty boring and the combat system is too hard to understand. Having never played a xeno game, I'm wondering if itll be a good fit for someone Whos not the biggest rpg fan.. unless it's truly action rpg
But yeah, as much as I prefer physical typically, people need to realize that physical games have a shelf life too. Will NES games still be working in 10 years? 20? We don't know how long those cartridges will still be playable, never mind the hardware. From a historical perspective, dumping and emulation is really the place that needs to be protected, strange as it sounds, because NES systems won't always be around... nor will any other system. Luckily more modern games (most major titles made post GC/PS2/XBox are being properly preserved by the creators, but even still... Besides, with Wii U / 3DS / Switch all appearing to use the same backend, it's likely those two eshops, never mind the Switch one, could remain open for decades still on their own, and even that won't stop you from playing your own digital titles.
But of course, the main advantage to physical is that for larger games (especially the 8 GB + stuff) I can keep more around. Though as micro SD cards prices continue to plummet since the Switch's launch, I may be reevaluating my decision to go mostly physical at this rate.
The problems with downloads on the switch is that it off loads extra cost on the switch owner if all games go digital. Suddenly the switch becomes a $400 instead of $300. The others don't have that problem because they can add cheaper storage mediums to their consoles. And PC gamers have been installing games since forever, so they are used to it.
And if some games can't even be installed on a stock switch, that will cause some trouble. Say Youngblood is a 32Gb download, then someone without a SD card needs to run out and buy that. This could be rectified with newer models or start adding SD cards to the base switch.
Nintendo should really have added 2 slots for SD cards. I really dislike when I need to either upgrade or switch stuff like that. Yet another way where consoles are adding complexity. At least PC gaming is simple.
@NintendoByNature Xenoblade 2 stands well by itself as an experience. Some of the mechanics can be difficult to understand, but I'm sure people on here can answer most of your questions, and if you really don't like it, you can always sell it.
Your choice, though.

Ok, reporting back after building the blaster for VR.
YES. Oh my gosh, so much YES. I am 100% sold on this VR kit now. That was some of the most amazing fun I’ve had in VR across any VR platform! The tactile feedback of the blaster is what makes it so much better than other VR experiences, and it actually looks a lot better in the actual blaster game then those dumb little mini games
