@gcunit GBA SP was a clamshell and only had one screen.

I think it'd go a long way toward making the Switch more attractive to parents and handheld-only gamers put off by the Switch's slightly unwieldy form factor.

Off topic but I've been eyeing metagal. It was supposed to be $5 at launch which is today. It looks pretty good but every time a game is only $5 i automatically have my reservations. Today i looked and it already dropped in price to $4. Has anyone tried it yet and how is it? It cant be that good if day 1 they're already slashing price

@gcunit yeah, as @Ralizah mentioned, having a clamshell design doesn't really mean they need to add another screen.

@Morpheel yeah probably no second screen. I reckon the top half will be all screen to keep it portable if clamshell.

1 Wow. Hellblade has to be the best looking game on the Nintendo Switch by a comfortable margin. It looks like a AAA game running on PS4

2 Assassin’s Creed 3 is looking slick. Seems they got the performance fixed up, because it appears to be running flawlessly (and it looks freaking fantastic on the handheld, just excellent)

Still unsure about Team Sonic Racing (though the soundtrack is a day 1 purchase) but CTR has moved up to a potential day 1 purchase (release date of Mario Maker 2 and Switch performance of CTR are the main decision points whether I will get it day 1).

Oh, Sonic Racing is a lock. Day one, no questions asked.

@Morpheel @Ralizah Yeh, I guess it depends on how small they're willing to make the screen. If they're shrinking it right down to something nearing the size of the GBA SP then maybe, but otherwise I can't see them having a big space in the middle with nothing using it. Wouldn't it also make touchscreen controls harder to use too though, if the touchscreen is the upper section of a clamshell? Guess you could flip the display and hold it the other way up, but that would make mixing touchscreen and physical controls awkward.

Watching the Sega Fes stream. They apparently just announced a new Mario and Sonic Olympics game for the Nintendo Switch.

Eh, I suppose we pretty much know what to expect with that series already. It’ll be a great fit for Switch, especially as a portable MP-centric console with detachable joycon. Just not sure I’m particularly excited for it, since there’s never much depth to any of the mini games.

I’m craving golf with motion controls.

They just announced a Mega Drive Mini for release on Sept. 19th in Japan. Comes with 40 games.

Yaaaas! Castlevania: Bloodlines seems to be included.

@NintendoByNature They announced ten of the games. Puyo Puyo, Shining Force, Castlevania, Gunstar Heroes, some Sonic games, a few I've never heard of before. Bloodlines was the only one that stood out. They'll apparently announce the remaining 30 games at a later time.

I hope we get a collection of the GBA/NDS games at some point.
