@Dogorilla
I have Rescheduled my shopping day for video games due to prior the rare Pokemon DS games for my upcoming next purchase.
So, i have delayed some Switch games purchase day (Not day one) in order to get the rare games first.
Luigi's Mansion 3 - never played 1 or 2
Links Awakening - only played first hour or so of original so this will be a brand new Zelda experience for me.
Super Mario Maker 2 - spent 200+ hours with the original
Astral Chain - not super hyped about this yet, need to read first impressions first but I have faith it's going to be great.
Mortal Kombat 11 - this one depends on the Swifch port
Doom Eternal - it's Doom.
Silksong - see below.
That's a cracking line up. The game I'm most looking forward to from that list? Silksong. I've spent a crazy amount of time with Hollow Knight over the last few weeks, (90 hours and 102% completion so far) and it's become one of the greatest games I've ever played,incredible stuff. So knowing a full fledged sequel is on the way soon makes me very happy.
I'm getting yoshi although I'm not that hyped for it. I'm very excited for darksiders though and I'll probabaly hold off on starting yoshi until im done with darksiders. My most hyped game this year is without a doubt links awakening. Astral chain isn't far behind though but I'm super excited for Mario maker 2, luigis mansion bloodstained and I'll probabaly even grab some of the re games. Theres alot of good stuff coming up i can't wait. It all kicks off for me at the start of april
I put a pre order down for Yoshi yesterday.To be honest I have never played a Yoshi game but really loved the look of this but when I played the demo I felt kind of disappointed.However I went back to it a few days ago and really enjoyed it..so I'm taking a gamble.I just hope it's not too easy.
Other games im looking forward to are:
Luigi's Mansion 3
Links Awakening ( I never played this and to be honest I think I'm going to enjoy it more than Zelda Breath Of The Wild which I wasn't overly impressed with..)
Fire Emblem Three Houses (I've only played one of these games but as much as I liked it I didant see what all the fuss is about but the trailer for this latest hooked me in..can't wait!)
And finally Dragon Quest Builders 2...I love anything Dragon Quest related and absolutely LOVED the first game so really the only thing I'm struggling with is if to buy this on the PS4 like the original or for the Switch..
Now that I’m pretty sure Monster Hunter Switch will be announced at some point this year (e3 or fall Direct is my bet, for early 2020 release), I can rest easy. Announce Persona 5 and make that official, and it’s a wrap.
But load up as many 3rd party ports as possible. I want Batman Arkham on Switch. I want X-COM on Switch. I want GTAV on Switch. 7th generation games are the perfect fit for 1080p console/720p handheld at a stable framerate. There are so many timeless classics from the last decade. The dawning realization that Switch is not Wii U 2.0, and the audience is actually buying 3rd party games, should be hitting these devs full force at the 2 year mark. I do believe we heard quite a few statements about games not really being ready for Switch until 2019, due to their lack of faith and foresight. Let’s see what this year brings
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
Yup yup, and it seems something is coming to Switch that wasn’t previously thought possible, according to our good old friendly neighborhood leaker Zell. Something he equates to “like Mario on PlayStation”.
Make of that what you will. But I think some logical deduction can narrow it down. It’s probably Microsoft, not Sony. The question is, is it their leading IP, Halo, or something like Ori or Cuphead. I think sometimes we have a tendency to always assume it’s the biggest, most earth shattering possibility, even if it’s not the most realistic. I’m going to go with Ori, since that would also align with some of the previous rumors we heard about. But who knows. Maybe it’s something bigger? At the very least though, it seems something 1st party is headed to Switch.

Though I do wonder, if you say it's likely to be Microsoft not Sony, why would Zell say it's "like Mario on Sony"? Is there any third party games that could be making the jump to Switch not owned by Sony or Microsoft that could fit this type of game? Also, I thought Ori had already been leaked to be coming to Switch, so it could just be that.

@Octane It almost feels like a test by Nintendo to see how faithful their fanbase really are when it comes to Pikmin. The "How far will you go for another Pikmin?" game by Miyamoto. He is sitting in his office laughing surrounded by his many Pikmin toys as he keeps letting slip teases about the game that never is.

I just assume NSO on Xbox and GamePass on Switch. Enticing Xbox owners to buy a Switch to play Mario Odyssey, and enticing Switch owners to buy an Xbox to play Halo Infinite. Both MS and Nintendo want a piece of that Netflix-like subscription pie. It just makes good business sense to have your subscription service on as many devices as possible.

@FragRed
He was explaining it was something not possible before, such as, to give an example so people understand, Mario on PS4. Not meant to be taken literally, but as a simple, ground level comparison everyone could understand. Everyone understands Mario won’t be on PS because it’s owned by Nintendo, hence the comparison to elaborate “something not possible before”.
Nintendo and Sony are not working together. I think pretty much anyone would agree with that statement. That’s why I say it’s likely Microsoft. Because they are very open to working with others, and we’ve had rumors before this talking about Microsoft putting their games on the Switch. Seems pretty obvious to me.
I seriously doubt it’s a third-party game because that would’ve been technically possible. Has to be 1st party of some kind.
And yes, Ori very well could be it. In fact I would say it’s rather likely, given all the previous leaks and THQ listing, etc. I know people will want it to be some earth shattering thing (gotta be Halo, right?) but a Microsoft owned/published exclusive coming to Switch is earth shattering in its own right, Halo or not. And imo, Ori is just as much a 10/10 as Halo ever was. So I don’t think I’ll be disappointed regardless of what happens.
Things are definitely getting interesting on Switch this year.

@JaxonH I understand the meaning now. But yeah, I would say even with Microsoft becoming more open to allowing their games to be playable anywhere, Halo is the one franchise I would say will never be considered porting to the Switch. But definitely Ori and maybe Cuphead are within the smaller first party titles that Microsoft would be less concerned about letting go to another platform - and the Switch isn't seen as much of a threat as Sony is.
